hi girls i cant believe we're on this thread huh? who would have thought!! i'm loving it!!
but i must say im glad im not the only one that has the same worrying thoughts as me - i thought i was all alone coz my family are saying to enjoy it & stop stressing, and then i feel guilty, i had one family friend once who said as soon as she was pregnant she felt a bond with her baby straight away and now im thinking my God, i feel like im just expecting AF to arrive coz i still have period type pains every now and again and i get that nervy i almost pee my pants!! also i feel like if i get too excited it wont work - arrghhh i dunno im just really paranoid and yes, i thought i would have enjoyed it more... i just want to experience the heartbeat next week! we all want it to work soooo much and im glad we're all at the same stages and have each other!
dora, im not sure about hearing it, i just presumed, even though i did think it was too early! so we must only see it then? wow amazing how in just 4 short weeks (tech 6weeks) our babies are pumping blood thru their tiny bodies!
also, speaking of boobs lol a friend whos now 22weeks with her ivf baby said that she had to buy a new bra pretty soon into her preg and was properly fitted. the woman that fitted her said not to wear bra's with underwire coz it affects the ducts or something while theyre growing - dont know how tru that is but anything helps i guess!
goodluck to all us girls

Hiya girls,
Danica, i've also read that you're advised not to wear underwired bras, it's something to do with your body shape changing and the wire can put pressure on your body and stop your breast forming properly, or something like that, can't remember exactly. The majority of my bras are underwired, i only have 3 that aren't and have actually found that those 3 are the most comfortable just now, gonna have to invest in some more though, i think i'll maybe wait another couple of weeks though coz i'll need a bigger size soon.

Something i forgot to mention yesterday, lately when i have been brushing my teeth it's been awful, i'm fine doing the front but as soon as the toothbrush goes further in i really start heaving, yesterday and today it's been that bad that i was actually sick. Is anyone else experiencing this? I'm at the point now where i'm dreading brushing my teeth, it's horrible.

I'm back to work tomorrow (only work weekends) so i don't think i'll be back on until Monday.
Take care and talk to you all soon,
Lotsa love

Michelle

hi michelle,
i was just checking in on you guys over here...... i had the same tooth brushing thing with my pregnancy...i can not tell you how many times i threwup in the sink.... it was so fast!! sorry to say, it did not go away... i just learned to brush REALLY slow and take a break every second or too...

and as for underwire... they say that it has to do with the milk ducts and it's worse after. i am on the large breast side, and can not go without the under wire, so i wore them all the time and had no problems... i think as long as they fit right, it's not that bad!!

well, i hope that everyone is doin well.... take care of your bumps!!!

Michelle

I had the same problem in the early stages - just changed the toothpaste, I was using a gel one so I went to a paste kind. See if that helps.

Good luck

Only 68 hours until my first scan!
Am feeling very crampy and bloated today - and emotions have been like a roller coaster -
so scared that I'm getting my period. I'm sure that sounds irrational to non-ivf gals - especially after 3 HcG tests at my doctor's and 2 HPT all came back positive - but I still can't help being concerned.

Any ideas on how to manage the stress/nerves?

Thanks

Susanp -

Look at the cramps like something is growing versus something trying to get out (like we do, or did, with AF).

Until the doc tells you something is wrong, don't worry.

Think about how many hurdles we have had to get through just to get to the scan! Stims, follicle scans, retrieval, transfer, implantation, progesterone. It makes my head spin to think of everything we've done.

Chin up and get ready for that heartbeat...

Hi ladies

been out shopping today looking for bras with no underwire. The only ones I found were rather awful looking!! either that or sports bras.
Any one got any suggestions?

I do get rather exhausted - more so during the week when I am at work. I dont do anything strenuous except sitting at a desk!
I am usually asleep on the settee by about 9.30pm!!

I am not bloated anymore I seem to have lost all the extra weight I put on straight after ET, but I still have trouble doing my trousers up, so am wearing elasticated waists most of the time!

Susan, Dora and Danica - good luck with your scans next week

Best wishes to everyone, enjoy the rest of the weekend and take it easy all of you

Hi everyone. Im Tillys DH.

She is fast asleep, as we have just been shopping in Manchester browsing at Cots etc etc.

The point is. Her boobs are bigger and tender, particularly of a night. However, she has had no nausea at all just tiredness. She started back work last week after 2WW and has a little nap each tea time, as i make tea. (What a hero i am)

Just wondering if anyone else had similar symptoms. it just seems to be the tiredness, from shopping and saying she feels fine and then the next minute, the tiredness seems to overwhelm her very quickly.

Thanks

Thanks for the best wishes - I'll post as soon as I get to work on Monday after the scan. Hopefully with good news.

To Tilly's DH- for me, I explained the tiredness to my DH this way: I feel fine - then all of a sudden - it's like a big MAC truck hits me and all I want to do is sleep. It is just totally sudden.

Just back from the first scan.
One little babe with one very strong heartbeat!
We're thrilled - but, of course, still cautious.

And, happily, now I only have to have progesterine shots every other day.

Good luck to everyone still waiting for their scan.

And thanks for all of the support.
