New to site and IVF

Hi Guys,
I am new to IVF and look to start injections next week once AF decides to show-up.
I am very excited to be starting this new chapter of trying to conceive. I have previously tried clomid for 2 rounds and didn't ovulate at all. Then i completed 6 unsuccessful cycles of ovualtion induction and am now onto IVF.
I have been TTC for 5 years and am diagnosed with PCOS.
I am OK with the injections, blood tests and internal ultrasounds as I have had so many of them in the last few years it is second nature.
I am more worried about the egg collection and putting the egss back in.
Well I hope to chat with alot of you soon and gather knowlegde from your experience.
Ok lookslike I have lots of reading to do from the other posts that I need to start.

Welcome to the site. There are women on here who have gone through other methods of assisted conception, been unsuccessful and then IVF has worked, so I hope this is the same for you! At least you are halfway there prepared if you are used to all the injections, scans etc! Egg collection was what I worried about most and I did have some pain during the procedure, but that wouldnt put me off doing it again. Most other posts I have read from other women's EC, say they cannot remember a thing (And thats sedation as well) so I think I was in the minority anyway!
Most ET (Embryo transfers) are completely painfree. Very similar to a smear test, so dont worry about that. There are threads running on the general forum at the moment where other women are going through treatment at the moment or soon to start. I think there is a September, October and November buddies up and running at the moment, so just jump in where you feel comfortable. A lot of women also reccommend a book called 'Fertility and conception' by Zita West. It helps you to prepare for conception and also goes into detail on procedures such as IVF/ICSI. I havent read it, but its been given high praise on here, so worth a look!
