Hello everyone,
I'm new to all this so please bear with me! I had my first frozen embryo transfer last thurs. The whole cycle was fairly straightforward but my ovaries were large after stimulation and my consultant thought it better to let my body recover and carry out FET. He felt I was at risk of hyperstimulation syndrome. The thing I'm worried about is that I feel "periody". I'm also having twinges that feel like ovulation pain. I'm driving myself nuts!!! And I don't know how I'm gonna make it thru til 29th sept to do test. Id just like to know if anyone else has experienced this and does it mean i'm unlikely to get preg this time.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

i am going for our appointment on 10/10/, to start our fet, we have 4 embiees, and we are going to be doing hrt method, as of yet i have'nt a clue what that entails or how long the cycle is e.t.c e.t.c.
i can say that we had ivf last year and have a lovely girl, i too felt periody all through my 2ww.
but i kept saying and thinking positive thoughts, and it worked, remember it's not over till the fat lady sings, all those signs can be so positive, so hang on in there.
also if you have info on the fet, i would love to hear it.

Thanks for the words of encouragement! I'll tell u what happened during my cycle for FET. Other clinics may be different. I started taking synarel spray on day 21. I was supposed to start taking oestrogen tabs 20 days later but my period was delayed and I had to wait til it came. Apparently your period coming is a sign that your natural oestrogen levels are low. (Good) Anyhoo, I started taking 2 tabs a day 26 days after the spray started, continuing on the spray as well. 11 days after starting tabs I had a check scan at the hosp to make sure my womb lining was thickening (it was). 2 days later I stopped taking the spray, increased the tablets to 4 a day and started taking progesterone pessaries twice a day. 2 days later I had my embryo transfer. And here I am to tell the tale. So timescale wise, I started on 5th Aug and my transfer was on 15th Sept. It was much less hassle than the whole IVF cycle and I really didn't have any probs with it. thanks for your reply, i am keeping you in my thoughts for the 29th, remember to rest as much as possible, no hot baths, no swimming, no hoovering, no coffee, no coke{either variety}. and no hows your father, did you get the zita west book? i got it today,
i suppose your driving yourself mad at the moment, and belive me its going to get worse coming near to your date, but keep thinking positive thoughts, this does work..
are you testing at home or at the clinic? will you be tempted to test before time, i did, i was one of the lucky ones though i did do 6 tests just to be sure[thats my irish blood}
