Lola....your post made me smile. We have lots of female hormones rushing around vs. male so no beards on here, or none that anyone is laying claim to! Yes there does tend to be a bit of weeping now and again, mostly DH at having to deal with our mood swings, loss of libido etc. I've never heard anyone ever mentioning skin problems so that shouldn't be too much of worry hopefully. I think early pg can bring on the spots but a small price to pay :)

If you're looking for some nice calm advice, have a look at Zita West's book 'Fertility & Conception' a firm fave of many on here. She has lots of pre-treatment advice, preparation, nutrition suggestions + gives nice clear descriptions of what happens at the various stages of tmt. Only 30% of the book is assisted conception, but I'd recommend it.

Nes, sorry to hear you've OHSS worries. 30 is a lot but perhaps they've caught it in time? I'll keep an eye out for your news. Hugs.

Good luck October buddies......
Debra.

Hello Everyone. Is it too late to join? I have just started my first IVF cycle and targeting a ER/ET for the week of October 17. It seems that it has taken me forever to start this process, but now that it is finally here everything happens so quickly and could use support.

Good Luck Everyone!

Hey Nes...

As far as I am concerned you can moan away...in fact, I don't consider it moaning...but sharing... :)
I am truly/sincerely sorry that the outcome is not what you had hoped for and I am keeping my fingers crossed for you.
I can relate to a certain extent, although my IVF treatment hasn't started yet. I had 5 rounds of IUI with drugs. During one cycle, I self-injected for about 9 days preparing for the IUI and then I ovulated spontaneously over the weekend missing the window of opportunity and it felt as if all the discomfort was a waste of time...
I know...you have been through so much already.... sending you lots of PMA and hugs!

Smita...thanks for asking..I'm doing okay... a little nervous and excited...just waiting for my AF not long to go....

Leigh..how's the wisdom tooth? (ouch)

Traci, thanks for the definition of stimming...(the penny drops!)

Julie, good luck with your EC

Lola, welcome!

Wendy, hello... my ER/ET should be around that same time too...although it all depends on my AF

Talk to you all soon again...thanks for all being there!

Hi Ladies,
I am new to IVF. I am starting I hope this week (waiting for AF). Can anyone tell me how long after you take your last provera does AF come. It's been a week and it is the first time I have been waiting for it checking every hour or so, so that I can start injections. I posted also in November because I couldn't find October but was glad I finally found you.
I am excited to finally be starting another step in my TTC journey.
I am hoping that my cycle doesn't go longer then usual as it did with Ovualtion Induction and I ended up doing it for 45 days rather then 28 like most people. What is the average length?
My body doesn't respond well to the injections and they put me on really high doses so I walk around bloated and swollen for weeks.
I look forward to meeting and chatting with you all and hope that this will be the cycle for all of us.
Cheers, Walshy

Hi Girls!
I would like to join your group as well. :)
I began my Gonal- F yesterday to start makin' my follies for IVF. My ER is "scheduled" for October 6th. Wow, I just realized that is next week. I can't believe it is finally here! It feels like I have been waiting for this forever..
Question- how many days are you usually on stimmers before you start bloating? My endo pain has reared it's ugly, stinkin head this morning- I am nervous about it getting alot worse as my ovaries get bigger. ( I just had surgery for it, but doc says I might have nerve damage which is why I still have the pain- another fun benefit)
Oh well, nothing can break my mood right now- just excited to have a chance!
Anyone else really missing exercise right now? Doc said I can only go for leisurely strolls- what a tease!

Hi everyone

Hope everyone is ok. I'm off work with stomach bug. It has spread like wild fire through my whole family. Hope I am ok for tomorrow when I start DRing. A stomach bug wouldn't effect it would it? I think I'll phone clinic to check.

Tracii are you injecting or sniffing for DRing. whichever I hope it goes ok cos it's your first one today isn't it?

Welcome to Walshy and Steph - How can you miss exercise, leisurely strolls sound great to me :D :)

Thanks for asking about wisdom tooth, Little R, it's ok at moment go to dentist on 10th Oct.

To everyone else, take care of yourselves and have a lovely day, think I might pop out fior a leisurely stroll!!

Hi October Buddies :D :D :D This morning I started with the first downregging - I am sniffing Synarela - 2 times in the AM, and 2 times in the PM. I also had to call the clinic to let them know I have started..now it is just sniffing until AF arrives. I went to pick up the Puregon at the apotheke this morning...the price has doubled in 6 months    ..I find this unbelievable..luckily I am prescribed only 150ie per day.

Hi everyone... Looks like my EC will have to be cancelled for thursday....

Seems like my follicles are still too many (43ish) and not big enough yet for the EC... so I am just going to have to hang on for a little bit longer...

I have to have more scans and blood tests tomorrow, as well as see the consultant... and hopefully they wont abandon the cycle... mmmm.... feeling as bloated now as ever... feel like you could pop me with a pin...

Hello Everyone!

Tracii and Leigh, it looks like around September 27 is a popular time to start DRing as I just had my first shot of Lupron, thanks to my very loving and patient DH, because though I am not afraid of needles, I found it much different with the idea of giving it myself. Leigh, Are you on shots or sniff? Tracii - Good luck with the Synarela. I can't believe the cost of the Puregon. Is that the "pen"? Sounds like you had a blast at Octoberfest. We have a small German community near where I live that celebrates it too, but I won't be able to fully participate this year.

Nes - I am so sorry to hear about your EC. Good luck tomorrow - I hope all goes well.

Steph - I understand what you mean about exercising. Since I just start DRing, I am trying to get all the exercise in I can before I start the stims - a leisurely stroll just doesn't cut it!

Walshy - Good luck with AF. I can't comment on how long it takes for AF after provera, but my cycles too were much longer with Ovulation Inducation with my max cycle of 50 days.

Have a good night and enjoy your strolls!

Hi everyone!
Seems like can officially join you here. I went to see my RE and had an HSG. Everything's normal, tubes are open, so he said I could do another IUI. After they did the actual HSG, my RE then injected oil in there. He said that it may help us get a positive result. He told me he had done it on his patients and had good outcomes after using this. Has anybody hear of such thing??? He wants to do another unmedicated cycle though.
So I have to wait for my LH surge now.

Hope everyone's doin' fine. Will keep you posted.

Hi All....October is going to be a busy month too with lots of positives...I can feel it :D :D :D I have attempted to pull a list together so we all understand what part of the process we are at....The best is to copy the list and update in your post..so here goes:

leigh - DR start 28th Sept
tracii - DR start 27th Sept
elleR - waiting for LH surge
WJAwad - DR start 27th Sept, EC 17.Oct
nes - EC scheduled for week of 3.Oct???
Steph (inhale/exhale) - stimming 25.Sept., EC 6.Oct
Walshy - stimming starting ??
Little R -
Lolajones - DR 5. Oct
DebraP - EC ??
Julesg -

If I forgot anyone, please add name and info :D :D :D

Nes - I hope you are doing ok - hang in there and I have everything crossed for you.

Walshy - Can't help you with provera. I take Synarela to DR and AF was a couple of days late last cycle.

Steph - How are you? Still feeling bloated? It is not unusual to feel this way..remember your body usually only produces 1 egg per month...and now you are producing a multiple amount of eggs - plus with the endo surgery I can imagine the outerlining and nerves are a bit sensitive..take it easy and enjoy the autumn air with walks. 8) 8)

Leigh - Is the bug gone? The bug shouldn't impact DRing since basically with DRing you are shutting down your pituatary gland...but best to call the clinic.

Debra - How are you feeling? Getting anxious for the scan I bet. Do you think you produced more follies this time around? I think the liver detox helped us :D I know what you mean about being bored..I have tons to do but just can't drag myself to do these things..I am happy sitting on the couch :?

2nd day of DRing for me and I still get nervous that I am not 'sniffing' correctly...I think last night I gave myself a double dosage. I am feeling good but with a bit of tummy ache but this isn't related to DRing and I am definitely not sleeping well at all. I wake up at around 4am and wide awake and don't fall asleep until 6am when I need to get up :? :?

I am off for my tennis lesson 8) 8) 8) and fresh air 8) 8) 8) Have a GREAT day!!!

Hi All,
I had my first ultrasound yesterday morning- 13 follicles with one leader which will probably be let go. My E2 was also low- so they upped the Gonal F dose (gonadotrophins, I think you girls call them something else?). I will start Luveris tonight (Lsh etc) to help also. I have another ultrasound tommorrow morning- every other day from here on out.
My doc didn't seem discouraged or overly thrilled about the # of follicles. Any opinions? Anyone familiar with follicle to egg ratio? ...........
