Hi all - well I feel I can finally graduate here after a lovely nuchal fold scan yesterday - bloods and scan suggested very low risk of downs (1: 7600) so it was a huge relief after all that worry. We saw all the little bits and pieces even the bladder which was working beautifully. I really feel for Susie who wished she hadn't had one - it must be so difficult to be told there may be a small problem - a friend of mine was given 1: 60 risk and possibility of heart probs - did amnio etc - weeks of worry but then found baby was perfectly healthy and is now a bouncing 18month old so I really hope you feel much better Susie and are thrilled with your recent test results.
Lil P - have great holiday
Smita - enjoy your DH time - where are you and P getting all these lovely icons from?? They're wicked

Hi to everyone else,

Cheryl

I'm so pleased you had a GOOD scan - it is such a relief when it gives such good results, but I totally understand the dilemma "Do I or don't I?"

Take care of yourself and enjoy your growing bump.

Take care everyone and speak to you all on my return.

Big hugs

Little P

Hi everyone

Hope you are all ok. It will probably be quiet on here for the next few days while Little P is on holls and Smita is enjoying her DH been home.

Sher - From what Ive read, all pregnancies are different, so Im sure you'll be ok. Hope your next scan reassures you. you'll probably have a big growth spurt now! My work colleague was told her baby was small, but she was at least 8 pounds when she was born, so not that small!

Susie - Happy shopping!! I have a notebook in which Ive been writing down what I want. I think DH is a bit worried by the size of this list.

Cheryl - Excellant news on your scan! Hope you are enjoying your 2nd trimester.

Im off work this am. Not sure if I am coming down with something or just due to the pregnancy. I did have a busy week last week with everything going on, so not sure if thats why im so lethargic. Spent the weekend unable to do much. Tried to go to work this am, but started feeling very dizzy. Decided its not worth making myself worse, so spent the morning in bed. This baby is more important than anything else, so ive decided I have to take it easy and not feel guilty for doing so. Feeling a bit better now anyway.

Take care everyone

Kim -

Thanks for the reassuring words. It was a tough end of week for me, but I have convinced myself that all is ok and I will look forward to another scan this Friday. I have been feeling the kicks so all seems good.

I hope you feel better. If you were busy, your body might just be telling you to take a break. I actually slept 12 hours on Friday/Saturday. It felt wonderful. So take a "me" day and enjoy. :)

hi all,
sorry to have been so quiet for so long. DH and I moved out of our house in london on the 16th and back in with my parents!! it was a frantic time and a lot of hard work. on top of all the stress, i lost all access to the internet for a few days. we are now happily settled in a flat within my parents house and i'm wired for action! we had a few days in ireland visiting dh's family and we're back full of beans.

DH has accepted a job in cambridge which starts in feb. we hope to move down there earlier, so that we can be settled before the baby arrives mid Jan. although we dont know anyone in that area we will be less than 2 hours from family and friends so i am looking on it as an adventure.

am finally feeling good. have totally stopped being sick which is such a releif. i definitely look pregnant and little squidge is wriggling around and making itself felt all the time. the anomoly scan ih ad at 22 weeks went well. all looked completely normal and healthy which was a huge relief. managed to resist finding out the sex so we are def going down the surprise route!

am def jealous of little P sunning herself in marbella as i type this.. i would happliy be there! have been reading about everyone's progress and glad all is ok. kim, i do hope your DH is ok and you too are doing fine. sounds like we are both progressing at the same rate as each other..my dleivery date twin!! love the sound of your baby list! i am going to John lewis at the end of Oct to do a blitz and order some of the bulk items. have you bought anything yet?

hope each and every other one of you is well. great news about all of those scans which will have put minds to rest about Downs and heart problems - am relieved for you all.

take care.

Hi everyone

Jamato - Congratulations on having a boy! Its surprising how good our intuition can be isnt it?

Minnow - Glad things are getting sorted for you and you are feeling better. My bump is noticably getting bigger now. My DH could feel the baby kick for the first time yesterday, which was great. whenever she gave a good kick before, he always seemed to miss it! I havent bought anything yet. Had clothes and a travel cot given so far, but holding off buying things as yet. We are having a new carpet fitted in the 'nursery' soon, so will start buying then. I wonder how likely it will be that we will give birth on the same day?! Its getting very close now isnt it?

Sher - Hope your scan goes well tommorrow and it reassures you.

Smita - Not used to you not been around, hope you are enjoying your time with DH. Have you got a check up or scan tommorrow? Hope all goes well and its reassurring for you.

Take care everyone

I was wondering if anyone had "late onset morning sickness." I was mildly sick during weeks 6-10 and then, at about 11 weeks, it hit me like a ton of bricks. I AM carrying twins so I know everything is magnified but I was really waiting to feel better at 12 weeks, not worse.

Of course it's a reasurring feeling, being so sick but the truth is I'm a wimp and want to feel better and be able to eat something besides cornflakes and mashed potatoes.

Beth,

You will probably have some good and bad days. I did not have too bad of morning sickness, but it did hit me one day at around 17 weeks of all things. So sounds like what you have is quite normal, but expect to feel good most of the time in the 2nd trimester. Always something, but also very reassuring.

Jamato - Congrats on your feeling better and your new mother's intuition.

Glad to hear everyone is well and I will pop in with my scan updates tomorrow. I am feeling good with little punches so I am confident all is ok.

Hi everyone!!
No personals right now,
I've been on cloud nine all these days and just been brought down to Earth at the thought that dh leaves tomorrow- its been a very tearful day today..
Anyway, tomorrow will be as bad and then I'll have to get used to routine and counting down I guess.. :(
I had a scan yesterday and the water level is still at that just adequate level and the doc was upset that the baby looked small..have been asked to up my protien, milk and fluid intake.. wonder how I'm going to increase fluid intake  already doing 5litres..
will read all posts and catch up on Sunday morning..
Have a lovely weekend all of you!! :D

Smita,

Glad to hear you had a lovely time with dh this past week. Take care of yourself.

I had a 22 week scan today since my belly was measuring a little small and good news - all is A-OK. Baby is 1 lb. 3 oz. today and everything is going fine. That was the best news of all. If you saw me, you could hardly tell I am pregnant but from the ultrasound, there is definitely a beautiful baby there.

Take care and have a good weekend all.

Hi everyone

Ziganddi - Welcome to the 2nd trimester! Hope your pregnancy is going well and you are enjoying every minute.

Beth - Ive had nausea since 4 wks, but I remember it kicking in more at my 11th week, isnt that funny? I have still got it even now, but it is regular as clockwork every morning and as long as I eat as soon as I get up I am normally ok. I know it can be worse with twins, but everyone appears to be different, so hope it settles down for you soon. Take care.

Sher - Excellant news on your scan. It just shows that we are all different and doesnt mean anything by how big our bumps are. Enjoy your weekend, at least you can relax a bit more now.

Smita - Hope you've had a wonderful time with your DH. I know it will be upsetting when he goes back, but remember we are all here for you. Hope the excess consumption of fluid isnt getting you down too much. Take care.

Enjoy your weekend everyone.

Hi all!!
How're u doing??
Sher,
Great news on the scan!!Must be such a relief..

Kim,
Hows dh now? And how are YOU doing? Not too tired, and taking it easy I hope..Shopping is going to be fun, but its taxing too..How long have you been feeling bubs? I can't feel anything yet- am alittle apprehensive- I think I feel something, but then I wonder if its imagination.. have to hang in there longer I think..

Little P shd be back anytime now I think..Hope your holiday was fabulous!

Beth,
Hope the sickness tapers off soon..
Gav,
hows Gen? Can she feel Gemma yet?Great news on the scan..
Susie,
How're things with you bump and family??
Jessica,
Wonderful!! Another boy in this thread!!Lovely to hear that-have you thought of names??And it must be a relief that your spotting has stopped completely
Minnow,
Its good to hear that things are finaly settling down at your end.. Now i think you can relax for a bit..or don't we always have something to worry about?!!
Cheryl,
Great news on your NT results, must be a relief.
Jacs,
How're you doing?
Zig and Di,
Good to see you here- you'd disappeared after your positive!!
HM,
you've not been posting- just resting I guess..
Mil,
not heard from ya at all- hope Katrina and Rita didn't hurt you or yours..
Christine,
if you're reading this- Hows the 3rd tri? Is it tougher?Hows your bump?

I hope I haven't missed anyone..

I'm fine everyone- Just upset still abt dh going away- specially since I don't know when he'll be back next- The 8 days were lovely though..
The doc feels the baby is small- I worry about that too- along with the fluid levels- which are still at "just adequate" levels.
But I'm a worry-wart by birth I think!

have a nice week everyone..
