any luck with ICSI + TESE or just ICSI with v v low sp count

Our tmt is going to be basically ICSI - but they have to retrieve the sperm from inside the testicle - surgically (TESE). Because dh has none in his ejaculate (mumps at 16). TOO much detail sorry! Not Nice! We start tmt next month and have completely convinced myself it wont work. If noone has done TESE - has anyone had any success with iCSI with VERY low sperm counts.... help! Our backstop is using a donor - mighht just set up a new topic for that one! Thanks guys

Hi there My wonderful DH has low count and low motility. I think it was 1 million last time ( i think normal is about 200 million i think--dont quote me) Anyway we have had icsi and a fet and i got pregnant both times. Sadly i have lost both of them but that was nothing to do with the sperm. There are a few girls who have had donor on this board hope you get your dreams come true love woppa xxx

thanks babe. I'm tempted to say....at least you both know you can get SOME of the way - which is meant to be helpful and encouraging - but not sure if its actually very annoying! Anyway - thoughts are with you.xx
