Debra,
You pm'd me several days ago and I replied. I hope you got it???
Lately, I don't trust my computer, so wanted to check. About your scan, remember, my early scans weren't so great either. Then by EC - woo hoo! Things can really improve in just those last couple of days. I am the opposite of you with my left and right ovaries. My right is the underproducer (1). I wonder if we walk funny (lopsided).

Sharon,
I know you are getting anxious. How frustrating that you have to wait because of their scheduling issues. And you will be ahead of me anyway, as I am only freezing and not transferring. So this round is over for me - no 2ww. Hang on! Oct is so close I can smell it! I just know that there's a reason - in your favor - that you had to wait. :D

Jane,
I hope your "consultant" likes the taste of crow, because he/she is going to have a large serving when you get pregnant! :D

DH and I talked and we feel that now there is no reason not to "go for it" between now and the Dec cycle. Not that that gives us much time, but it will be the first time we've actually TRIED to get pregnant!!!

So, I may be buying one of those ovulation sticks (I think that's what they are called). Does anyone know much about those?

If I manage to get pregnant before the Dec cycle, then we will save ourselves $12,000 by avoiding it and feel like we have a nice store of FETs waiting for baby #2 down the road. I know, I know. I'm getting ahead of myself. But it doesn't hurt to dream a little.

God Bless! Work tomorrow, so better get some things caught up around the house. I've been "taking it easy" all day, bc of my sore tummy.

Wooooo! Lucky Randa, actually ttc for real! In private, less than 5 other people in the room, DH involved - very posh!! :)

I had to use an ovulation kit for an unmedicated FET last year, you get several (7) in there to use on the days approaching when you think O will be. My clinic suggested days 13 - 14 as I have a regular 28 day cycle, you test everyday until you get the nod that the time is right then bingo! you're on :)

Will write more later.
Happy Friday everyone,
Debra.

Hi Ladies,

Sorry for the delay in letting you know how things went. Went in for EC yesterday and they got three eggs, it was very painful its the first time its been like that I had two local shots and it still didn't make any difference. i was in pain all the time I was home and generally felt very rough so just went to bed. But kept having horrible dreams that I got a phone call saying none had fertilised.

Well, I've been on tender hooks all morning and they have just rung to say two have fertilised and so far so good, so fingers crossed for tomorrow, lots of PMA and baby dust that they continue to divide and that they will be reasonable embies in the morning.

I'll keep you informed. Debra I hope the shot goes OK tonight, I'm sure it will and come Monday you will have three eggs, by the way they got nothing from my left ovary although i had a large follicle on there all were from the right, so that meant they got my small ones as well.

Randa, fantastic news on all 5 fertilizing. You might have wanted my FSH but I could do with your eggs. Now get trying for a baby and have some fun doing it.

Sharon and Kate how are you obth doing?

Love,

Jane

Jane,

Two out of three ain't bad! Two is plenty to be going on with and I am sure they will go on to divide over the next 24/48 hours. Your clinic obviously works over the weekend so when will you have ET? Would you get called back in on Sunday? Sorry to hear it was a painful process for you. I think a lot depends on the doctor and the way they perform the procedure. I have been very lucky in the past in that department, a little uncomfortable and sore afterwards but on the whole, not too bad but hopefully later today you will start to feel better. Thinking of you both and those two little embies. Exciting times - just the dreaded 2ww that we all have to endure. Anyway, if ET is tomorrow, have a good rest today and an early night and wishing you tonnes of PMA along your journey.

Hugs

Jane best of luck for tomorrow. I'm amazed they work Sundays but is it a hospital vs. clinic?. Two fertilised from 3 eggs is really good going. More good news from the 40+ board, YAY!

I hope you've no EC pain left by ET tomorrow, which at least we know doesn't hurt at all. Fingers crossed all goes well. Don't forget to let me know your test date.

hugs, Debra. Who is not looking forward to the HCG shot tonight. Because I have the easy-peasy Puregon shots, the 2 HCG shots are the only deep ones, but still, ugh!

Debra,

Good luck with the HCG shot tonight. I hope you have a steadier hand than me. I was shaking like a leaf the last time. Do you have to draw up the solution, release into the phial of HCG, mix and draw that up and then inject? (probably the same for us all but what a thing to have to do. I was about to do mine at midnight, my DH was on the road driving home from band practice and he rang me to remind me (in case I had fallen asleep!) and I was slap bang right in the middle of doing the deed. He didn't get an answer and assumed I had fallen asleep. Hysterical really but still, it's just a feeling of 'all systems go now' when that injection is done. You can hear the clock ticking between then and EC and willing the time away. Will be thinking of you.

Hugs

Hi, nice to see the good news on here over the last few days - let's hope it rubs off on the rest of us! I have been in bed with some kind of fluey thing for the last couple of days - just about back to normal now though. Had to take a day off work which is not like me at all.
Anyway, one week of bcp left and then wait for af and then start hormone patches! Seems to be going quickly. Still reckon last week Oct for ET but can't book flights or hotel yet, pity as flights are only £15 at the moment!
Thinking of you all, especially Jane & Debra over the next couple of days.
Love, Kat xx

Thanks Sharon and Kat.

Sharon, I use Ovitrelle which luckily is premixed and actually comes already preapred in the syringe, all I have to do is open the pack, aim, fire!

Kat, I hope you get better soon. Your time is fast approaching :)

Half an hour until shot time and then as you say Sharon, the clock is ticking....

Hi Girlies

I thought it was about time I popped in to say hallo. Sorry I have been very antisocial for a while, we had an awful lot of bad news to digest, and big decisions to make so I kind of dropped out for a bit. Thanks D for keeping me sane on email, and keeping me up to date on the list  It's so exciting Randa that you are actually going to try to get pg  well done on your embies, you are a lucky bunny you know that? and you deserve a big success sweetie. D big fat kiss for tomorrow, I am sure your follies will have blossomed over the weekend, and your pragmatic apporoach (I know you are just being brave) is the only way to be.
Kat, Sharon, Jane, thinking of you, and great to see that things are going well for all of you.

From our side, we have decided to do our next cycle in Kiev. We were really impressed with the clinic and had a wonderful weekend there. In a way we have been forced into this as I have been diagnosed with Hashimotos thyroiditis, which is an autoimmune condition that comes with an increased risk of miscarriage. What can be done is being done, and I am on replacement thyroid tmt and immune suppression therapy, but there are still unknown's and ISIDA (the clinic) have a lot of experience with thyroid issues and autoimmune issues, unlike the Spanish clinics who take quite a general approach. On top of this we have a bad results from dh sperm analysis. To be honest on top of my crap news this did my head in compleletely and I was ready to give up. The bottom line is he has had TESE in Germany with Mr professor sperm daddy, and we are waiting for electron microscopy results of the samples to hear if we can try with his sperm or not, in which case I need to ship the samples from germany to Ukraine (hey why make life easy???). At least with ISIDA we can afford a few cycles, so there is some chance for us if the statistics play on our side and my bl**dy stupid immune system and thyroid do what they are supposed to do     will be at the doc's 17th Oct. results 20th Oct to get go ahead from endocrinologist for the cycle. Am waiting for notification about donor, should be cycling around early November if all's well. Feeling really exhausted but hoping this will pick up soon (just symptoms of hypothyroidism, scary but cureable).

Anyway, will try and be a bit more present now, especially as you girlies are all at such exciting stages in your tmt, maybe it'll help me believe that we will get there eventually....

Love and hugs to all of you, sorry to be so down...I am OK just struggling quite a bit to keep believing, and you girls give me strength, thank you so much.

Hey BigJ.

What obstacles you have to overcome and little wonder you have been so down. I think if this had not been our last time and I was a little younger I would have gone down the immunology testing route but when we were first trying in the early-mid 90's I was not aware of such a procedure and accepted things for what they were. Even this time around I only learned of these tests on this board. So pat on the back to you for taking this next step however difficult it may be and with DH's own issues. With all your efforts and perseverance, you deserve to have success. KEEP BELIEVING. :)

Debra, how did the shots go last night? Lucky you that your meds were ready-made. I'm glad I don't have to do that procedure again. (Tick tock, roll on 8 o'clock  8) Praying hard for some nice, sunny side up eggs

Jane, did you go in today for ET? Waiting to hear your news.

Hi Randa, how're you doing today - maybe you haven't time to post now that you have other pastimes?!! LOL

Hi Kat - the 'waiting for things to happen' time is always the hardest when you just want to get going. The time will soon pass though and before you know it, it'll be your turn. Let's hope those airfares stay low!!

Hugs

Randa - 5 embies frozen 28th Sept. Natural BDing until Dec
Jane - ET 2 Oct
Debra - EC 3rd Oct
Katie - donor/FET 10th Oct.
Sharon - start stims (HRT) 23rd Sept, FET w/c 10th Oct
Kat - started bcp 18th Sept. Fresh/donor cycle end Oct
Nuala - fresh cycle, late Oct.
BigJ - fresh/donor cycle in Kiev in November.
Caroline - basking in the sun... November FET cycle planned

Sharon, thanks the HCG shot went well last night. Not tricky or painful at all, just a slightly thicker needle. Yes the clock is ticking, so darn loudly I wonder if I'll sleep! I'm looking forward to 2 things: the bio-engineer telling us we've got at least 2 eggs and then the apple cake and tea after sedation :)

Jane, I hope ET went well today. Let us know how you feel when you're up and about again. Onto the 2ww you go.....

Kat, feeling any better?

Katie, your dates are very close now. Is the 10th absolute or is there flexibility in it? How are you feeling?

Randa, feeling back to normal yet? relaxed and ready for the next few months?

BigJ, pragmatic? moi? surely not! lol.....not known for it. I do feel calm about tomorrow, we only need 2-3 and we can take from the freezer if we have to, it's doable.

Now you (BigJ)....you're already meeting the challenges head-on, just as we all knew you would. They're considerable challenges too, they'd sink anyone less strong. You can do it but we're here to help and support. Post, post, post away. Best of luck with the sperm results, is that what happens on the 17th or is that a different issue - I promise to become more au fait with your procedures asap.

I'll post tomorrow with the results, PMA.
