Rachel R - news flash

Post by Tracey S »

Rachel R can't get back in and wants to get in touch with you all so has asked me to post for her so here goes.....
Here it is!

Hello everyone

Smashing to hear some good news and so sad to hear of your news Woppa,
can't imagine how you must be feeling right now, but you know w'ere all
thinking of you, don't you?

Well, an up date on my situation. I started sniffing on 16th March which
was fine. Then started on the Gonal-F (the bruises, sweet bloomin' Jesus,
they're horrendous - although great for the sympathy vote from DH!!!!) on
12th April, and e/c was due for 25th April. Well, everything was going ok,
they started me on 150, then 2 days before e/c was due to take place, upped
it to 225 as the follies were still too small. Was really p'd off as i'd
geared myself up for it being on the Friday. Was re-scanned on the Friday
and again, they upped it to 300 (im wired to the moon, all these hormones
whizzing round!!!!) and said if follies hadn't improved enough by
yesterday, we would abandon. Anyway, went yesterday and scan showed one
follie of 27x12 which is too big and will pop before e/c time and about 6
of around about 15x14 and then a couple under 10. So, am being rescanned
tomorrow morning, and if all's ok, e/c will be on Friday. Feeling really
teary at the mo though - ive had enough, what a weakling, some of you poor
loves have been doing this for so long, and im grumbling on my first
attempt. Bit worried that being on the gonal for so long will have a bad
effect on any eggs (assuming there are any!!!). In fact, the only positive
thing to come from the scans is that my lining is nice and thick.

Totally fed up of being prodded about and having big metal willy with
condom bunged up, but then you all are too, so mustn't grumble.

Anyone got e/c soon or testing soon. Please let me know.

LOL

Rachel
x
