I felt the same as you when I was approx 18 wks! Weird dreams and difficulty sleeping! The flutterings as well! Sometimes it felt as though there was an insect crawling inside me!!

Smita - My cold has become worse :( Feeling sorry for myself at the moment. Also very frustrated. Wanted to start aquanatal classes tommorrow, so bit fed up! The weird dreams should stop (well, mine did) but they arent particularly pleasant ones are they?

Susie - Im glad things are looking better for your DD. Its good that the other girl's mother is taking it seriously. The emotions we feel during pregnancy are funny arent they? Normally if me and DH argue, I give as good as I get, now I burst into tears! He doesnt quite know how to take me. Get my own way on most things now though

Julie - Good to hear from you that you are all alright after 'Rita'. I bet you are pretty big now! Good to hear your twins are doing ok.

Take care everyone

Love Kim

Kim

I love your description of an "insect crawling about" - that's exactly what it's like - thanks for that, it'll have me laughing away whenever it occurs again!!

Sorry about your cold - what a pain, I do hope that it goes soon. When I had a bad cold a few weeks ago my Midwife suggested hot water with slices of lemon in - it really worked and I was soon breathing again properly.

Gavin

Bet you can't wait to go away - is Gen looking forward to it?

Hope all of you are ok. Cheryl and Jacs haven't seen you here for a while - how are you both going?

Thanks for the info abt the 28 week clause LP,
I'll check it out- anyway, I'm sure they'll say i cant go- pls note the negativity!!Its just that I'm resigned to going most of this alone now..
If i do get the all clear, it'll be when I'm 24 weeks and I don't plan on staying more than 3 weeks so, I shd technically fit in, provided the doc says its ok..
Funny thing is, the doc is bound to leave the decision with me, so I hope the water level rises and I can be more confident.. if the levels stay the same, or go down, then obviously, I cant go..

oooh, I wish I could feel some flutterings too- must be beautiful!!

Kim, can you take anything mild for your cold? I guess you'll be drinking hot ginger tea..Get well soon..

Susie,
Its good that the other lady's taking it seriously too..and dd has forgiven the other girl..

Julie,
Hope your scan went ok..
Gavin,
Can't be easy for you- just realised the truth in what you said abt bikes and cars, but not babies!!

I'll do a water dance for you - hopefully your levels will be fine and you'll be able to hop on a plane and be with DH for 3 weeks.

I'll keep everything crossed that all goes ok. When is your actual scan then?

Hi everyone

I thought it was about time I came over and said hello on this thread. It has been lovely to read the 2nd tri thread to find out the trials and tribulations to come.

I feel a bit funny at the moment, in a state of limbo. I don't really feel sick any more, don't really look pregnant and it is far too early to feel the baby move. I would like to feel a bit more pregnant. However, despite my moan I am enjoying every minute.

I was lucky enough to hear my baby's heart minute for the first time today at the MW. She said the baby kept moving out the way of the doppler. Little P - completely agree with you so weird that something is moving inside you but you have absolutely no sensataion at all.

Hope everyone is doing ok today

Welcome Olivia - part 2 is here!!

I totally understand those limbo feelings - for me the thing that kept me going was the fact that I was showing from 5/6 weeks so now I have a really nice bump. Gone are the days of looking slim and trim for a while!!

Hope you are taking it easy.

Gavin

I do understand where Gen is coming from - I took a long time to consider registering because I didn't know how I felt about talking about it all - now try and shut me up!!

Take care guys

Olivia, the midwife visit sounds lovely..
P, my internal check is on 20th, but they will not do the cardiac scan then-perhaps around the 27/28th..
Thanks for the water dance.. I'm praying it gets ok too..
Hope you're doing good too..

I'm keeping everything crossed for you and then hopefully you can make that trip.

Good luck on 20 - not long to wait thankfully.

Take care

Hello everyone - I've been a bit quiet for a while as I've been doiing some freelance lescturing for a local university which has completely exhausted me - I've loved it but haven't been able to do much else except sleep! Its been lovely reading posts and catching up -- everyone sounds really well and blooming. I wish I could reply individually to everyone but its goiing to take me a bit of time to get to know people on this thread - there seems to be a lot of you. Has anyone heard anything from Jacky Jones? She's due around same date as me and we seem to have lost touch a bit since 'moving up' from 1st trimester! If you're reading this Jacs, hope all is goiing great for you. I am goiing to make a concerted effort to be more involved on here in next few weeks.
Love and hugs, Cherylxx

Just a quick word of advice to those ladies planning to travel abroad - to be on the safe side check your travel insurance policies.

Some companies won't insure you past 24 weeks (Insure & Go have a limit of 26 weeks).

We had this problem a few weeks ago - they might have been more strict with us as we're expecting twins.

Have fun at the concert - I'm sure you will enjoy it.

The flutterings are still there, have you felt anything yet?

Judy

Thanks for the warning - I am going away in November so I best check with our insurance company that they are happy with that.

Hugs to all

You're welcome LittleP

Another thing worth getting is the E111 form from the Post Office - if you don't already have one. This is a medical treatment agreement between EU countries & should cut out any problems regarding costs incurred for treatment in a EU country. They used to issue a paper form immediately but now they send you a little credit card type thing which iss valid for 3 years.

Smita - I'm posting on the 3rd tri forum now as I've reached 30weeks. Probably got another 6 or 7 weeks to go as its twins. Apart from heartburn & swollen ankles I've been fine up until recently when DH gave me his cold/cough. Finally gave in today & went to the doctor who prescribed a low strength child's cough linctus to take over the weekend & see if it helped.

She also gave me a prescription for Gaviscon which is brilliant for heartburn but normally very expensive - but free on the NHS with your maternity exemption prescription certificate. Sorry but this only applies in the UK.

Take care & I look forward to seeing you all in the 3rd tri forum.

Jude
