Sorry its so late.
It wasnt good news, for my health or tmt success.
I have to go back 6 yrs to explain so bear with me.
I had all the usual test, lap, Hsg, scans and bloods in 1998, was told both my tubes were totally bloked and i would need ivf and lots of money (no funding in cornwall untill 05).
We had satalite ivf at Bodmin/Sheffield in nov 99 but only had 5 eggs and only 1 fertalized but still -ve result.
We changed clinic to Exeter in 2000 where i was told that as well as blocked tubes i had a hydrosalphinx on 1 tube and that was the most probable reason the first ivf didnt work.
I was then told to have that tube removed and the other opened, which they did, but 2 days after i left hospital i was back in with a post op infection. Its more than likely this closed the remaining tube.
I was then going to egg share on my next ivf to fund my own cycle so the usual blood test were done.
My Hep C test came back and they said i didnt have Hep C just an antibody and my own health would not be affected and i couldnt pass this on but couldnt egg share, so that was that, there was no way at that time that i could have payed for tmt.
Five years latter we get turned down for adoption and end up back on the ivf trail.
We get to the appointment today and meet a fantastic doc! all good you would think.
He then asks me what my Hep C status is now, i look at him gone out and ask what he means.
Apparently everything that Exeter told me is rubbish and i should have been seeing a liver specialist since 2000, i could have passed this on to DH and the only place could have got it is while having the tube out. Oh yes the vital bit, I CANT HAVE TMT unless i go to a specialist clinic in bloody london ( nothing wrong with london just far way).
I cant believe how 1 clinic let me have ivf with hydrosalphinx knowing it wouldnt work, and the 2nd clinic told me not to worry about a viral infection that can cause liver failier!!!!!
Its no bloody wonder im depressed and have panic attacks when the people we trust (doctors) do that to me.
Sorry im not very cheerful but i dont think i could feel worst if i tried.
Terri So glad you had good news, Ive heard herbal meds can do a lot for pcos.
