Hey Guys,
Add me to the 11  day wait. The transfer went smoothly with one high grade embie and 1 lower grade embie. The doctor is positive the higher grade one was living but not sure about the other one. It did however change after the thaw but did not grow as much as the other one.(I have photos of them). My clinic has a 40% FET success rate but my Adopted embies are 8 years old so the rate back then was only 20%(Newer more modern equipment now). I'm hoping to be in the 20.
How is everyone else?
Love,
Katie

hi all
we had our app with the clinic yesterday, and they seem very positive, which really helped to give us that little buzz of excitement, AF is due any day now and we are going ahead on this cycle, i have to go my gp to get my blood pressure tablets changed, and to have our various blood tests on thurs,
we go for our first scan on 24 of 10th, and for our nurses app same day.
i am also taking pregnacare, and trying to follow zita west book
so pleased to see we already have positive stories on this thread, and i have no doubt that we will have many more.
love to all

Hi Girls,

I have my appointment on Monday to get the go ahead after my freeze all (OHSS) in August. If it all goes to plan my 1st FET will happen around the 10th November. I have 3 Blastocyst embies (day 5 or 6?) They will only thaw 1 at a time as I am 30 +(male factor) so my clinic advises only one at a time. Also these are the only 3 that we are ever likely to get as they were done in the small time frame between my DP's cancer diagnosis and his radiation treatment. We are not able to try after his treatment and they only had a literal few sperm to start with so they couldnt freeze a decent deposit as a safe guard if this doesn't work. I am very nervous as at least one of these 3 HAVE TO WORK!! I have been trying to learn what I can from you FET ladies so I have a better idea of what is involved and the sort of concerns to have. Thanks for having this thread.

I have just found out from posting a topic on here that you usually dont have to wait the full 2WW with 5/6 day Blastocysts. This is great news for me because my DP is going away for a week on the 14th day from the suspected transfer date....I will need him here if I dont get BFP!!

Oh, the other thing I meant say is that I HAVE NO IDEA what my embryos are like?!? everyone talks about grades, cells etc etc, they told me nothing about them. When I went in for EC they told me that when I woke up from EC there would be number written on my hand with the amount of eggs they collected. I woke up and there was nothing on my hand. I had to ask 5 nurses if anyone knew if they got any eggs, i was starting to get stressed and nervous there were none until they came back with the answer 12. My clinic is very laid back and hopeless like that.

Good luck everyone. x
Both 30-Male Factor (Test.Cancer)

Nov 05 BFP !!! 1 embryo transferred
June 06: ID girls from 1 blastocyst.

CARINA,

I HAVE BEEN READING SO MUCH THAT MY BRAIN HURTS. HERE IS WHAT I HAVE COME ACROSS, AND HAS BEEN CONFIRMED WITH MY DOCTOR. THERE REALLY IS NO STATISTICS FOR FET BECAUSE IT REALLY DEPENDS ON THE INDIVIDUAL AND THE EMBRYO. DON'T PAY TOO MUCH ATTENTION TO THE GRADES BECAUSE WOMEN WITH GREAT EGGS HAVE HAD NEGATIVE RESULTS AND WOMEN WITH SO SO EGGS HAVE HAD A POSITIVE. ALL I CAN TELL YOU IS THAT I HAVE COME ACROSS DIFFRENT OPINIONS. THERE WAS A STUDY THAT STATED ACCUPUNCTURE INCREASED YOUR CHANCES OF SUCCESS BY 49% ACCORDING TO A GERMAN STUDY. i HAVE NOW STARTED AND MY RE IS IN AGREEMNET ABOUT ACCUPUNCTURE. UNFORTUNATELY WE ARE ALL GRASPING AT WHATEVER WE HEAR. WE TOO HAD MALE FACTOR THAT IS NOW FIXED AND THE PRESSURE IS ALL ON ME NOW LOL. I HAVE PCOS AND HAVE BEEN TREATING IT FOR A WHILE. WE HAD 41 EGGS RETRIEVED, 30 FERTILIZED AND WE WOUND UP WITH 6 BLASTS. BECAUSE MY INSULIN WAS HIGH AND THAT EFFECTS THE EGGS. OHSS OF COURSE AFTER 41 EGGS SO HERE I AM NOW.
I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU CARINA AND EVERYONE ELSE. ALL WE CAN DO IS PRAY THAT IT WILL WORK AND SUPPORT EACHOTHER ALONG THE WAY.
GOOD LUCK TO THE LADIES TRANSFERRED AND THE UPCOMING ONES.....

Hi Everyone

Firstly thank you Chanteq for your lovely congratulation message! It was lovely to see. I haven't looked at this thread for a few days so I thought I'd just check on how your all doing. Giant amounts of Good Luck to you girls on 2ww.
Carinaboo - I have read that once the embryo has thawed okay the success rates for FET are pretty much the same as normal IVF.

I agree with Lisa about the grades - in fact my hospital don't even bother to grade them - they were only concerned with the thaw. Something else you mentioned was how long you have to wait for test date - my embryo's were 2 days old (frozen on day 1, then after thaw put back one day later) and I was tested 12 days after ET. So I think that it must be true that the later they are frozen the less time you wait as they have already progressed further.

Lisa- a personal update - I am 10wks and 3 days so far so fingers crossed it carries on.

So anyway Good Luck to everyone. Vicky

PS: Have I mentioned how much I rate yoga? although not in 2ww and apparently pineapple is good for stickyness? This may be an Old Wive's Tale!

KATIE --- TESTING 21ST.....

I HAVE A FEELING THIS IS GOING TO BE A GREAT MONTH LADIES.... I GOT MY MEDS TODAY AND THE INSURANCE WOULD ONLY COVER 1 MONTH AT A TIME SO I COULD ONLY GET 10 PATCHES. WHAT A JOKE, I HAD TO PAY 219.00 FOR THE REST OF THE PATCHES, BUT I DON'T CARE IT IS WORTH IT IF I HAVE A LITTLE ONE TO HOLD.
