Hey you,

So nice to have you back - missed you loads! Avocado - yummy with chicken? v.nice. I'm starving, must decide what to have - carrot and corrainder soup? Not as apertising as avocado! Need to lose some weight before my next go!

My tmt went so well, its was so unfair that it didn't end up with a pg! Nevermind. I got 14 eggs and was so pleased, then only 8 fertilised so was a little disappoitned (but didn't want to be greedy!), then on ET day they told us that the 8 embies were not suitable for freezing, so I could take two and the others had to be binned! The two we had were only grade 2 4xcell, which I know isn't great.

We have an appt to see the consultant for May 22nd to discuss what went wrong. I think I surprised everyone by being ready on day 8 for EC, the drugs worked too quickly. I think they might lower my doseage next time, so hopefully they end up better quality and work!!!!

So no frosties I'm afraid. Got to do the whole sherboodle again!! Dh is pleased he gets to inject me all over again. Seriously worried about his state of mind!!!

Have you decided on day 2 or 3 embies yet? Have you got enough in the deep freeze to risk going to day 3? If so, why not try?

Oh its so lovely to have this site back!!

Now where the hell is sam. She has had such a shitty time with her tmt, first with the follies and then nearly having to abandon, and I haven't spoken to her since EC cos that is when the site went down.

I hope she is ok - have you spoken to her or emailed her? Fingers crossed she is ok.

And you my lovely are about to start your tmt again - how exciting!!! This is it this time - I hope you are ready!!!

love nikola.xx

Nikola
Thanks for the update - you are welcome to come over next time you are at belton! HAving to limit my time on the site at work - you never know - not in danger of doing much work - had a mare of a month and lost 20k worth of fees in buy backs - only left with 10k!What happened to your email at work.
Sorry re the tmt - I had the same sweetie - reacted at 9 millions mile and hour to the drugs and had 14 eggs - 10 fertilised properly and had 2 put back in and the rest binned. Next time they put me on 225 gonal f again but went in on day 6 for scanning not day 8 - was still going at a zillion miles an hour but then slowed down my drugs and coasted me. I also had ovitrelle as my ripening drug which was different from the first time - I drank more too - water not wine. Ended up with 31 eggs - oops and had the 2 put in and 9 frozen so if you need any tips then that worked well.
Hope you have your chin up and I will be here to hold your hand ok?
As for Sam - I am fearful - she e mailed me last weekend to say had been on complete bed rest by DH. she was due to blood test tomorrow but was going to hpt - I have not heard since and I checked my e mail yesterday and nothing! I fear the worst but still have my fingers crossed - no news and all that but she has not replied to my thread.
Must do a spot of work now
Love
Tracey
and big hug
xxxxxxxxxxx

Hi TS

We must be so super duper that we react to the drugs so well - shame we haven't managed to do the last bit properly yet - we must try harder!!!

Thanks for your advice. WE have a date to see the consultant on 22nd may to go over where things went wrong and what we could differently next time. I'll mention these things to him and see what he says.

I'm a bit worried cos I read on Shell's posting she was told not to bath/swim for 7 days - were you told this?? I wasn't and I went home and had a bath!!! Maybe I washed mine down the plughole - OMG!!! Woops. Note to myself - my try harder not to wash the embies away!!

When are you doing your FET? Have you decided re 2 or 3 days. How exciting. It only seems like yesterday that you did your last cycle - although I'm sure it feels like ages ago to you!!

Got some other exciting news - dh and I are getting married!!! Hurrah! I know I should refer to him as dp but I already think of him as my dh, so it seemed normal thing to do. Anyway, we were going to get married next year (if we'd had +ive result, but now may try and squeeze the wedding in before next tmt - how bloody exciting is that!!!)

Something nice to cheer you up. God knows where your work email went - maybe your spy police read it!!! Its ok, I didn't put anything naughty in there!!!

Lovely evening here, so I might go take Arthur & Jez for a quick walk.

You take care and I'll chat tomorrow - let me know about the bath thing!!

love nikola.xxxxx

Nikola

Nipped home as knackered from 5.30 scan and have to go for another tomorrow. Decided to go for 2 day as don't want to waste a load and 2 days can work too. I they were frozen day 3 then fine or if we had fresh then would try to take them further - ho hum. Am taking the pessaries - putting everyone on the cylogest 400's not 200's for extra support - sounds like a Dyson model doesn't it - really don't want to get into my story of some chap at uni getting his todger stuck in a vacuum - oops too late - especially when marcus has just let me back - he wrote me a nice e mail actually.
Re BAths - Nikola you can drive yourself insane - my clinic told me not to have too hot baths - they have never mentioned swimming. It's like this caffeine thing - don't suppose the italians and french stop with red wine and coffee and they have successful treatments over there. Mind you the French are not over keen on baths are they - ooops hope I haven't upset anyone - only joking!! I would basically do what you are happy with and don't be stupid about it either way. In nature we would carry on as normal - They say it to make us feel better so we don't look back and think (like you are) "what if I washed them down the plughole etc" - for the first 4/5 days I would not go for hot baths or swimming but then what do I know only success I had was when little baby decided to read the map upside down and go travelling in my right tube.
Congrats on the wedding - that is great news - DH and I got married last October - I had my first treatment before that and unfortunately the ectopic 2.5 weeks before I got married but still did it - It was great to have the honeymoon to get over it all really.
How is DH - I know it is hard to deal with but both grieve and move on - mine would have been born next week so try not to dwell on it.
So fab to have you back - loads still missing though like Jo and Melanie and Sam - where is she.
Happy dog walking and from now on if you want a chat I will have one day off a week hopefully - fingers crossed
Catch you later
Big hug
Love
Tracey
xxxxxxxxx
