Bloating and wind!

Hi all I got a BFP on 12th so don't 100% feel ready to move over to this side (as it were)

But I wanted to ask

- the last week or so I have had terrible bloated stomach (I can't get my jeans done up) and wind (sorry TMI I know) I thought it was mostly due to the pessaries and the progesterone (can't spell) levels but I took my last pessarie on wednesday morning and it hasn't got any better - worse if anything -it is not painful just very uncomfortable and my stomach is huge.

Is the normal? Is it ok?

Also does anyone know if it is ok to drink actimel? as I took this before tmt and it helps wiht bloating

hi me again
i have the same as you bloating feeling and a bit of wind.its not painful i just feel quite full.i'm wondering if its after the treatment my insides calming down. my stomach is big aswell. as we're at the same stage are you feeling anything else.when have you got your scan? are you still on pessaries?i have to carry on with them for 12 weeks.

I am not on the pessaries anymore I took my last one on wednesday morning.

My scan is not until 3rd November which right now seems like ages away

Thanks for the reply - makes it feel more "normal" when someone else has the same syptoms

I haven't been sick but I do feel sick most of the time - especially around lunch time - boobs are also sore and look bigger/different some how.

I guess our bodies have been through and awful lot just to get to this stage - I think a have a good excuse to get some new jeans

Just wanted to say that I had to go into maternity trousers at 5/6 weeks - I'm usually a size 8 and none of my jeans, trousers, etc would do up comfortably.

Don't panic - it could well be all those drugs and things - just think of it as an early bump!!

Hi, I dont know anything about the bloating, but you can drink actimel. I've had bad thrush thruout my pg and drinking actimel is the only thing that seems to work. It was advised by my midwife so I guess its OK

Hi Julie

Like you I have just got a BFP and also have had bloating. I asked at my clinic and they said it is quite common with IVF pregnancies and nothing to worry about. They told me to keep drinking fluids - water and milk.

Hi all

Just wanted to say a big CONGRATULATIONS to you +ve people!!!

Also - for weeks after treatment and my +veresult i was very bloated - had awful tummy pain too!! Its was quite worrying at times - but i reckoned it was down to the op. All that poking about in there with needles and such - well your body is going to feel like its been through the mill, and then to be pregnant sudenly on top of that...... our bodies are bound to complain!!

Well done all - Good luck and try and enjoy this time - its soon sleepless nights and dirty nappies...................................................

I have started back on the actimel and feel a bit better (although baked beans for tea was a mistake!!) Still fat though - so I went shopping and bought new jeans the next size up
