Traci's uphill struggle!

Went to the docs today and he said that I might have an overactive thyroid! and wants me to repeat the blood test in three months, so I rang the New clinic today and told them and also said about the FSH of 12.1 and asked them to decide wether or not to go for it this cycle or wait till Sept because of flying , she came back to me and told me that it will go before the bord on friday and they will let me know in the afternoon, so I could be starting in 3 weeks!!!Everything is such a hastle isnt it! feeling very Ill today and have struggled into work , My voice is very sexy though but hurts when I talk ! early night with a brandy and I will be fine

Hi Traci, Just wanted to say thank you for being the messenger for sam k and I, and also for all e-mail graphics unfortunately i'm with aol and they won't let you use it, I sent about 5 e-mails i was wondering why no one answered! Sorry to hear about your thyroid problem now, as if everything else isn't enough to cope with, life's always there to throw something else. Mmmmm brandy sounds lovely but i'm not drinking at the mo, you should try brandy and whisky together, it's called a 'rusty nail' very warming on the throat, oops i'm starting to dribble!!! Try and stay positive, easier said than done I know. love Deb T x

Traci, I have had thyroid gland problems for many years now. It is suprising how important this little gland really is. The big problem I have found with this whole IVF is that my IVF doctors know very little about it had did not factor it into my treatment. Infact, I constantly have to do the research and then ask them the questions. But then again I wasn't very happy with my treatment as a whole and is why I am changing clinics. So hopefully yours and my new clinic will know all about it! Incidentally, the thyroid gland can go screwy during pregancy so it could be the effect of the drugs in your system - has anyone suggested that? All the best BB

Hi Traci Sorry to hear you're sounding rough (if sexy!) today. Thanks for your message on the other side. Will you mind if they suggest that you start this month? I suppose on the one hand it'll be great to get moving again but on the other it's putting life on hold AGAIN! Try not to worry about your thyroid - great that they've picked it up now but from what little I know, it's very treatable. I will keep everything crossed for Friday. Don't forget to let us know the verdit! thinking of you! Helen xx
