Hi Kate,

Good to hear from you. Missed the board and glad it's back.

The 1st day of my cycle should be tomorrow. So I will start sniffing on day 21, so around 21st May. I've managed to get Bristol to do my Egg Collection - so that will be beginning of July (Taunton has a wait until August).

I don't know about the post coital test? I had one done. As you said, with blocked tubes it seems pointless. But I guess that even with blocked tubes there may be a chance of a natural pregancy(well depending) and it just checks if sperm swim ok and your not killing them? I think it's just one more thing to do on their check list.

I guess you saw Dr Jones? She's nice (but a bit scatty!) Angela and Rachel, the nurses, are nice and you will get a lot of support.

Keep in touch, speak to you soon
Sharon
x

Hi Ya

I am new to this web site and I also live in Somerset (Wellington).
I have just had a lap & dye and been diagnosed with bilateral tubal block and thin walled hydrosalpinx!

i only know this as I opened the letter from Dr Bigood that I was meant to give to my doc's.

I have an appointment to see Dr De Cothi on the 12th may
to discuss results and next plan aof action.

I too have had the post coiltol - I was pleased I had mine done as it showed my husbands sperm was swimming OK and doing exactly what it should be when previously his sperm count was not too good. So it did give me a bit of hope but now obviously I have found out about my tubes.

We have been saving for IVF and have approx 3000.00 do youknow how much it will cost to have it in Taunton.

Look forward to hearing from someone soon.
