Hi Moggy

Welcome to the Site. If you have a look at the November Test Dates thread, you'll see if there are currently any other confirmed Nov dates.

They usually do save the best 'til last  . Lots and lots of PMA to you for the coming few days.

Hey Ladies

I haven't posted for a while, to be honest.. I am all out of things to say and ask?!?!?! :o I must have read this forum inside out three times by now and think I have got myself just about as educated with this process as I am ever going to get! (50 times more knowledge on here than the clinic!!) I have just been riding out the days for my FET. My doctor confirmed on Monday that it can definately happen in mid November.

I just wanted to say to all the other Novembies that are in the beginning of a stimulated cycle (or any other type of cycle) and are gearing up for EC...good luck, wishing you lots of eggs retrieved and subsequently lots of viable embies.

It is comforting to be in such a big group of women with lots of PMA!
Both 30-Male Factor (Test.Cancer)
Aug 05 OHSS: transfer cancelled (3 embies frozen)
Nov 05 BFP !!! 1 embryo transferred
June 06: ID girls from 1 blastocyst.

hi all

i'm starting injections tomorrow and so should be undergoing ec and et in november. i was really looking forward to finally getting things moving but i found out today that my sister in law is pregnant and even though i am happy for them i also feel sad and almost as if it's a bad omen for the cycle being +ive. i know it's of no relevance to the outcome but i can't help but feeling down and it's the first time i've felt like this on hearing someone else's happy news. anyway, tomorrow's another day and i'm sure this feeling will pass.
sorry that my first post is a downer........ i swear that before today i had a good pma.
will let you know as soon as i have some dates.
good luck to you all.

Hi all you November buddies,

This is my first time and this is nothing like I have ever experienced before, so many ups and downs, its like one big roller coaster. If things go to plan I will be having my EC done next week and then the ET a couple of days later, so fingers crossed I will be waiting for news in November. I am having such problems getting off to sleep, my body is so tired ( from the medication) but my brain seems to be going into overdrive as soon as my head touches the pillow. I am feeling a bit swollen and bloated but that is coz hopefully my follicles are growing nicely. On Saturday morning we go to the clinic for a scan and when we went today they thought I would be ready to start the Citrotride. Has anyone had Cetrotide before? I am currently taking Menopur injections...Anyway I am wishing you all so much luck, patience etc etc.

Hi Stephanie
Good luck with your cycle!! and the next step of your treatment.
Welcome aboard Liverpool! Your up and down feelings are par for the course for ivf - but so glad you're getting near ec - best of luck with your scan. :D
Welcome Rachel - don't worry about feeling on a downer - its only natural but you must get that PMA going so you can get a BFP and have two lovely babies in the family at the same time - good luck with your trmt!
Big Hi to Nicola and Little P :D :D :D :D and of course anyone I may have missed :D :D
I'm off for a scan today to see when AF will be arriving - I've been downregging for a week now ut because I came off bcp it's knocked my cycle a bit so they're going in to have a look around and see whether AF is due or whether they need to give me more drugs  Will keep you all posted.
Have a good friday - its nearly the weekend!!!!!

Penny

Keeping everything crossed that the scan shows that AF is on it's way, then you can move on to the next stage.

Take care of yourself and have a wonderful weekend - even if it is a bit soggy out there!!!

Hugs

Hi everyone,

Eskavon thanks for the good wishes and good luck to you with your scan today. Could you tell me what 2ww means, I have noticed it a lot and I dont understand.

Rachel how you feel regarding your sister in law is so natural. My husband and I have been trying for so long to have a child and last year my brother announced they were pregnant (him and his wife), my feelings were all over the place as much as I was happy for them I was stuck with immense jeleousy which is very unlike me. I had a long chat with my brother who was so understanding and I also made a pact with myself that however hard it was going to be for me I was going to enjoy all the excitement regarding their pregnancy, birth etc. The pangs didn't go away and I would cry sometimes but only with Jason or my mum. We couldn't start IVF straight away due to my blood flow being so poor and I was thinking that it would never be put right. On my 40th birthday my niece was born and on the same day we had to go back to my clinic to find out how the blood flow etc was and was told it was fine. If we are not successful with IVF then I will enjoy my niece, spoil her and just be a good loving auntie to her ( I would do that even if we did get pregnant) and in time the pain will go. Sorry its so long winded.

Now then I have a question. Can you get a tight bloated feeling when the follicles are nearly ready?, I do feel quite sick and my tummy feels weighted down it doesn't hurt just feels odd. The other question is do I go for a general or sedation when I have EC. I am terrified of general and they said at the clinic if I was a bit anxious about it all I should have a general. Has anyone had a general? has anyone had sedation? how long are you asleep for after general?I had a horrible car accident 10 years ago and I had to have 3 very long operations and since then I have been terrified of anything medical. Any advice would be welcome.

Thanks girls have a good day. :)

Lots of love

Hi Tracie!
The 2ww is the 2 week wait which refers to the time between egg transfer and pregnancy test (usually 14 days depending on the age of the embryos replaced). If you go to the thread at the top of the general forum called "abbreviations Definitions" there is a fantastic list of every abbreviation used on the site. I refer to it daily!!!!!!
With regards to the bloatedness, I had the same feelings and it is quite common. You have to remember that your body is producing a number of follicles, whereas usually each month there is just one.
I went for general for collection (actually I don't remember getting the choice but there you go!). I've had 3 of them before and each time felt really sick afterwards (I HATE being sick!!) so discussed this with the anaethesist (I have no idea how to spell that!) javascript:emoticon('')
and he gave me an injection to stop this (which worked a treat - all I felt was that I needed a large cup of tea!). Was groggy for a while and a bit sore, but no major problems. It's a matter of personal choice I'm afraid.
Good luck with it all - you've come to the right place!

To all of you Novembies - GOOD LUCK!!!! Was hoping to join you but the clinic have suggested I wait as I have a holiday booked for the end November and there was too much possibility that they may clash. Oh well, means that I'll have to have a few large glasses of wine whilst sitting on Grace Bay watching the sunset after all!!!!

Cla,

Thank you so much for that it has settled my mind considerably. Its so daunting doing IVF for the first time as you have no idea what to expect but having this site is fantastic.

Anyway mate, thanks for that and have a good holiday
