Bad Temperdeness! Anyone Else? Please say yes!

Post by Vickyp »

Hi

I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced exteme bad temperedness? I have been like this for almost the whole of the first trimester and am concerned that this might just be a new part of my personality!! I am SO crotchety and fault findy - I really can't stand myself! I really hope I'm not the only one! Vicky

Vicky

Don't panic - mood swings are a definite side affect of pregnancy. Your homone changes in your body are so drastic that you become highly emotional and very volatile.

Hope you are taking care of yourself.

Mood swings! Me and DH can tell you all about them. In fact I told DH I was gonna divorce him last week, then this week we have been talking about renewing our vows.
My DH has just learned to do as hes told!
And when I'm ready to cry at work I just go to the loo!
The joys of pregnancy!

Thanks guys

Very relieved. Very funny example Susie - I will show my husband when he gets home - so he knows its not just me!
I hope that I still have some friends left as we decided not tell people until afer 12wks & I have only just got to 12 weeks and am having a nuchal fold scan tonight - so hopefully that will be all okay and we can tell people this wk, although that doesn't account for the last 10 wks of me being the evil cow from Hell for no apparent reason! Oh Well!

Hi Vicky

Reading this thread has mad me feel realitively human again!!! I am 6wks pg and hate everything and everyone!! DH is signed off work untill Jan 06 due to snapping his achillies tendon playing football...... Goes without saying, that i don't like him much at the mo!!! It's not as if he's of any use to me as he is on crutches and limited to what he can do!!!
I do feel quite sorry for him really. just no good letting him know that!!

Hi Nicky

Fancy breaking bones at a time like this! I don't know!! I just had a REALLY bad tempered w/e - funnily emough in Bristol. We went to visit my M in Law - to tell her about the baby. First she was really cross that we hadn't told her before, then she spent the rest of the time being REALLY irritating in SO many ways I can't even be bothered to go into it. Anyway I've had a good rant at my hubby now so feel a bit better. Hope your not having to do everything around the house - although I expect you are if your DH can't walk. Ggrrrr. hahaaha. Vicky

What a coincidence......I've had the in-laws round today, which also proved to be very annoying!! I used to have paitents, but now they no longer exist!
Dh can't do much & what he can do, I can do 10 times quicker!!
We have our 6 wk scan tomorrow.....I'm sure that will put a smile back on my face!

That is a coincidence! Well you'd better sit back and put your feet up now - isn't Austin Powers on tonight - that should soothe our angry minds a bit!
Hope you have a fantastic scan. Is that your first scan then? I don't think I really believed I was pregnant till I saw it on the screen. Really amazing. (I'm 13 wks now). So anyway have a good one. Take some tissues just in case!! Love Vicky

Hi Vicky

You're right.... I needed a box of tissues!!!
I have been extreamly tierd, it's good to know that it's for a reason!
I've just been reading about twin pregnancies which has totally scared me.... It goes from one worry to the next!! God, I sound so ungreatful!!

How's your mood swings??

Hi Nicky

You don't sound ungrateful - you sound completely normal - it's SO weird getting used to the idea of giving birth and carrying and looking after one baby that the idea of doing it with two is no doubt a bit daunting -I'm sure you'll do it brilliantly. My sister just sent me a book called the best friends guides to pregnancy which tells you all sorts of stuff in a funny way. I'll find out the author if you like - I could do it now but it's upstairs and I'd have to go up at least 10 stairs to get it!!! Sorry - I will later!

Still pretty grumpy to be honest. I have a very short fuse with anyone who disagrees with me for some reason! and I am honestly not normally like this!! I wonder if we will actually go back to normal?!! Oh Well at least I don't have to live with me - if you see my point! Love Vicky

Vicky

If you haven't got to live with you then it doesn't matter what mood you're in!!!!!

Thanx for your words of reassurence......I'm just so tierd and it gets me down sometimes. DH being under my feet doesn't help!! He is trying...............!
I'd be greatful for the name of that book..... but no rush. I know how much effort stairs are!!!!
