Caroline,
I want you to know, you made me LOL with your tips on speaking like a Brit. Thanks to you and Kat for helping me out there. I will practice. And I do listen to the BBC often. Hadn't thought of it being a tutor - good idea!

Sharon,
You will be missed, but I understand. Thanks so much for the well-wishes as those of us who are still in this fight trek on.

Hi Debra,
How are you today, Dear?

Hi Sandra. Thanks for the Cuba info. I'll check it out. What a great memory you have!

Hi Little P. You are so sweet to continue to support everyone on this side of the board, even though you must be very involved over "there." I am still so happy for your success. More than half way there now, huh?

Ok Kaite, I am so sorry. I had everything crossed for you. I kept popping in over the weekend to see if you had posted. There is nothing i can say that will make you feel any better at this moment, it takes time. You know we are all here for you when you can talk.

Take care of yourself.

Love,

Hello from Barcelona!

Katie I am sorry it didn't work out for you, can't add anything to what the others have said but I am thinking of youespecially as I am now officially on 2ww.

We had 2 lovely embies transferred this morning, I am now resting in the hotel for the afternoon (excellent plan of DH's to bring laptop with us).

Our embies both scored 9 out of 10 quality-wise and apparently the transfer went very smoothly indeed - I saw them both pop put of the catheter on the screen. The doctor was gorgeous! Big J mentioned him before as looking like George Clooney but I reckon better looking than that-he can look up my bits anytime! Shook my hand afterwards too, all very polite.

So 2ww time again - not back at work till next Mon so that'll be nearly a week gone.....

Speak soon , more resting to be done

Lots of love
Kat xx

Kat, I'm glad everything went well. Enjoy the rest of your stay in Barcelona and use PMA to imagine those embies settling down and getting comfortable.

Congratulations, Kat, on your solid transfer. Sounds like it went perfectly. Relaxing is exactly what you should be doing. One of my most favorite things in the whole world to do is.... order roomservice! I hope you do that often over the next few days. :D

As a new bod on this thread, i have kept popping in but have been at a loss as to what to say to any of you as the bad news has been relentless. Katie - you were the first person on this board i started rooting for. I've been holding my breath hoping that you would be the one to turn it round.

Jane and Sharon and Debra, my heart goes out to you all.

I'm starting the 2nd stage of my treatment today - all clear apparently - nice quiet ovaries, thin lining, no cysts. I'll be harvesting on 8th November. I wish I could feel a little more optomistic and a little less sad. Strangely, I really don't feel sad for me, but sad for you. I felt how much you wanted it, and I can't imagine the disappointment.

Kat

Congratulations on your ET & enjoy yourself in Barcelona. By the time you get backa good part of the 2ww will already be over. Just make sure that your DH carries the bags etc on the way home.

I know what you mean about Dr Olivares - he is rather gorgeous isn't he?

It made it very difficult to concentrate on the matter in hand during the initial appointments with him - good job DH was there the pay attention to what he was saying

Wishing you lots of PMA and remember that they have a very high success rate.

From somebody who had treatment there & has only a few more weeks to go!

Love

Jude

What does it mean 'to set up a thread'. How does that work?

Hello ladies, thought I would finally embrace this new stage in my life (well, maybe politely shake its hand) and join in. I have checked my increasingly bad attitude at the door and promise to offer nothing but sweetness and light from here on in.

I am so sorry to all the ladies that got bad news this month. It really sucks, don't know how else to put it. My thoughts are with you all and I hope that the healing has begun.

Welcome Anna, I sincerely hope that your stay is a short one (not being rude, just hope you don't have the need to frequent an infertility board for too much longer). It sounds like everything is going A OK for you and I wish you well with your cycle.

Kat, well done. Enjoy the relaxation (and the room service) and it is wonderful that half of your 2ww will be over by the time you return. Dr O is becoming a bit of a legend, I will have to scour the clinic website for some piccies!

Jude, only a few weeks to go. How exciting. What is your dd? It is really reassuring to know that it does work sometimes! Take care.

I hope you don't mind but I have added myself to the list...nothing really to add but anyway.....

Kat - Fresh/donor cycle end Oct, 2ww, test ???

Heather - FET November sometime

Thanks for all messages of support. I think this site is great. You really don't feel alone through everything.
My prostat injection is on 3rd November. Hopefully scans will follow in due course. If all goes according to plan egg collection will be Nov 28th. Crossed fingers.
