Hi everyone

Had an appointment with the midwife today. All looking ok so far. Im 'spot on' so she says for size and measurements. Baby didnt like her palpating my tummy, so gave a couple of good hard kicks! She did the same last night to DH when he was prodding her! He nearly jumped off the bed in surprise and she also hurt me! Im sure Ill be black and blue inside by the end of this pregnancy if this is what im getting at 28 weeks! First time as well last night that I felt a body part wriggling under my hand - that was weird!

Little P - Although I dont feel those pains that I used to now (at this moment in time anyway!) I have occasionally felt quite a strong painful 'pulling' sensation on one side which tends to come on when Im walking. If I stop or sit down and rest, it goes away, so ive not been too worried. Did mean to mention it to the midwife but forgot as the last time I felt it was over a week ago.

Smita - Hope all goes well with your scan tommorrow. It will be wonderful to see your baby again. Cant wait to hear your update!

Jessica - You are very brave. I will be thinking of you tommorrow. Take care of yourselves.

Hi to everyone else - Jacs, Cheryl, Susie, Esther, Christine, Joy, Julie, Gen and Gavin, Sher, Minnow. Im doing this by memory so I am so sorry if I have missed anyone. I need to think about going over to the 3rd trimester thread soon, but feel too attached to this one! take care all.

Thanks for that! My pain comes in the same way you've described and my GP said it is Round Ligament pains so at least I know that there is nothing to worry about. Painful aren't they?

Hope you are looking after yourself - it sounds as though your little girl is certainly letting you know that she's in there!!

hi girls
little p u sound just like me on holiday i always have to hunt for a parrasol as im so fair skined i have found a wonderfull sun lotion tho if u burn easy its called p20 u just put it on once in the morning an hr before u go out in the sun its in a liquid form...if u do get it a word of warning if u go and have ur nails done before u go (i always have a french polish) use gloves to apply the liquid as it sends them yellow
we always pack most of the stuff the night before i carry(or hubby now) the suit case down 2 days before and have all the clothes hanging on the door ready to put in last thing at night. dh is working till ten on the friday so ill be able to get things sorted without him here im a fanatic cleaner and love a spotless house before i go so i take the cats to cattary(crying all the way there and back) then get to grip with the polish and feather duster...dh goes mad with me because i hardly let him use the toilet etc after iv cleaned it ha ha
smita were off round the carabbian on a cruise booked over a year ago before we even knew we were going to go for ivf im kinda looking forward to it but i never like going away really id rather just go for 1 week i think of my babies shut up in a cattery thinking were never coming home...but my dh loves to go away and would go every month if we could afford it
little p iv been to gran canaria wot part are u going ??? its lovely a warm all year round there

Hi everyone!!
I'm just back from my scan- all looking ok except the usual water level- I've gotten a little used to it being lower than normal by now, though it doesnt stop me worrying..
Saw my baby looking so adorable- this whole thing is starting to be real now, i just hope the next 4 months go smoothly..
Tomorrow I have a glucose tolerance test. The doc feels that since I'm overweight, I shd get it done.

Jacs,
the carribean sounds wonderful!!you go soak up all that beauty for those of us who aren't going! How long are you off? I hope the cattery takes good care of your babies..

Kim,
I'm still not feeling any kicks yet..the doctor said not to worry, it'll happen.
Your lil one sure sounds like a good kick-boxer in there!! Hang on here- dont go away to the 3rd tri thread yet- doesnt look like its active though..

LP,
Watermelon huh?then maybe its a girl!!I dont know- justgoingby that old-wives tale on the issue. Not allowedto travel to Bahrain as they want me here because of the water level- oh well, I expected it, and was anyway thinking of not risking it what with everyone saying I'm being selfish..

I hate it when ppl say that!but i guess they have the baby at heart..I do too, but..

Jessica,
Am thinking about you today. Hope you are as ok as its possile to be in such tough circumstances..

Susie,
How're ya?

Everyone else, take care and have a wonderful day!

Jacs

Usually I am one to lie in the sunshine and allow myself to go a beautiful golden brown - this time I have Little One to consider so it will definitely be a parasol for me.

I hope that you have an absolutely wonderful time in the Caribbean - we went on a cruise there a couple of years ago and it was wonderful. We stopped at about 9 islands which was a fantastic way of working out which ones we wanted to go back to someday. My DH is very well travelled so he has been almost everywhere already!!!

I hope that your babies enjoy their holiday as well - I'm sure they'll have a wonderful time at the cattery.

Smita

Fantastic news - I'm thrilled that your baby is progressing well and looking wonderful. I know it's upsetting you can't go to Bahrain, but we'll be here to try and take your mind off it as much as possible.

Just you look after yourself and the baby now!!

Hope you're all ok. It's an absolutely beautiful, warm day here today - and this is supposed to be October

Big hugs

Little P

Hello everyone.
Smita glad your scan went OK. Its lovely seeing them again isnt it?

We bought our pram today! A mammas and pappas frestyle travel system. We already have a pram so thought a travel system would be ideal!
I'm so excited now. I just want my baby now!
Hope everyone's OK

That's fantastic - it's so exciting isn't it?

We've been doing the window shopping actively and have now drawn up nice long lists for the big shop - can't wait :D

I'm tired. . .haven't been able to get full night sleep all week and it is wearing me thin. Basically, I was up to pee at 3 a.m. and unable to go back to sleep until 6 a.m. I am thankful that my days start a little later or it would be tough.

Anyone else experiencing this??

Little P - Well done for just window shopping I find that very hard!

Sher - I'm exactly the same. I have only about 3 hours before I have to go to the loo, and when I get back into bed, bubs starts playing football! I am tired all day, and find it hard not to sleep on the sofa, but come night time I just cant sleep! ts driving me crazy too. I cant wait for my maternity leave so I can stay awake all night and sleep all day. Perhaps its just our bodies preparing us for sleepless nights. Saying that though. Abby has slept thru the night since she was 3 days old. I hope this one does, but I doubt it!

Hi Girls,

Hope you are all doing well...I feel like we are close friends that do virtual coffee talk....Today was very difficult but I think for the first time I almost feel at peace....We layed Connor Xzavior Amato to rest today at Wildwood Cemetary...I can't wait to have his nursery picture from the hospital....I asked for sun today and boy did they deliver, it was a beautiful morning and I felt my son's presence there...I will eventually post on the other site for babies loved and lost and I will post my husbands poem there for those that would like to read. Just wanted to let you know that I am at least still checking up on you, and please don't take anything for granted. It seems there may be a place for me to help at the hospital...Its called the hope group and they deal with these kinds of losses but do not have resources that have been through fertility and experienced this loss so it seems I would be a resource for them (Of course I am NOT giving up by any means, at least I know the last protocol worked!) so anyway, just wanted to check in, sorry no personals....Keep in touch....
3rd IVF/ICSI June 2005 +ve Connor Xzavior Amato born 10/21/05 already dreaming.
4th IVF/ICSI Mar 2006 +ve Logan Tyler born safely 12/18/06

Sher and Susie

I know what you mean about those night-time visits - I don't seem to have the problem during the day, just the minute I go to sleep I start getting those all too familiar urges

Jessica

I am so glad that you had such a beautiful day for the service. I hope that you are ok and looking after yourself.

Big hugs to you and DH.

How's everyone else today - we're very quiet at the moment?
