Donor Eggs from outside UK?

Hi

After 4 failed natural cyles of IVF we were looking at donor eggs option. Due to my age (42 yesterday should have been happy but just felt another year older and less chance of having my own children!!) I cannot afford to be on a long UK waiting list has anyone used any of the Clinics in Europe there seem to be a few in Spain?

sorry to hear about your 4 attempts...
I cant really help with egg donation sorry...

But I was wondering Egg donation is legal in France.
I will have my 2nd ICSI there in January and I will defintely consider egg donation if I have any left!!!

don't really know much about egg donors but i did see recently a news item on italian tv about a great clinic in barcelona with a high success rate where a lot of italians are going as the laws here are very strict. freezing embryos and donor eggs/sperm unfortunately are not legal here. the italians obviously think that people in our situation haven't suffered enough and need to make us go through more. better not get started on that one.....!!
i've also heard very good things about belgian clinics but again i'm afraid i don't know any names as it's always been a friend of a friend story.

Hi Lozzy

I am 42 and using donor eggs too. Had one attempt in Barcelona (IM), got pg but sadly miscarried. They were very good, but are very expensive, as is staying in Barcelona for a fresh cycle with TESE (surgical sperm extraction) which is what we need. Now am off to Kiev Ukraine where it's about 40% of the price, and seems very professional indeed (we did a first visit and are now awaiting a donor). I'll pm you the details. Thanks for your replies I am feeling a bit more positive now I will have a look at Spain and Kiev and let you know how I get on.
