sad news from me I'm afraid

Hi all After spending my 2ww on my own with no website for comfort (fortunately Helen S was my saviour and she sent me emails everyday - thank you thank you thank you!) I have bad news to report. We did our test last friday and it was a big fat -ive! This was our first attempt so we are getting ourselves ready for the next attempt. We are ok now, it just comes as a shock and a huge anti-climax. Unfortunately we have a waiting list (even though we are private!) and can't start our next tmt until August. So I will have to sit back and watch how everyone else gets on and prepare for my next go. good luck you to you all and I've got my fingers crossed for everyone. love nikolaxx ps biggest congratulations to my 2ww buddies Emma and Sarah who managed to do it properly!!!! HUrrah.x

Sorry nikola that you got a negative. Thats was just a practice run and next time you will get the big positive you so rightly deserve. Enjoy some timeout with DH and eat lots of chocolate--it works for me!!! love woppa xxxx

Nikola I am so sorry that it didnt work for you. I know how hard it hit you, I idnt realise I would take it so bad. we are going to start our 2nd ICSI in 3 weeks so full of more excitement and lots of fear. Chin up. Love natsx

Sorry to hear your news Nikola. I know what a disappointment it is - but getting right back in there is the best thing. Like you said, if it did happen 1st time you would have been very lucky. I too didn't make it first time around in March. I also had a waiting list (but managed to get a place in July) so I start my second treatment cycle in 3 weeks. Just make the most of this time - I've been using it to try and get fit and lose a few extra pounds before the next treament - but the first few weeks was definately a chocolate time!!! Nikola Posted for you on my thread to say SORRY - did you get any frosties? august will soon come and you need time to let your body get back to normal - you know alcohol and choccie levels - maybe you should replace choccie with aspirin or anything - sorry you had to do it on your own. will be here for you next time. Thanks girls for all your support. I'm ok. I realised to have it work first time, is just beyond lucky!!! I'm over the shock and preparing for my next go......in the meantime I can indulge in copious amounts of alcohol - hurrah!!!! Natalie & Sharon good luck with your second goes - I need proof that there is such a thing as second time lucky!!! Love to you all nikola.xx

to nikola sorry to hear you news it must off been awful and not to have the web site so you could talk was not fair wishing you lots off luck for next time. i'm starting sniffing friday this is my third go but first with fet so really know how you must be feeling from july ann

Dear Nikola, So sorry to hear your news - I know how devestating it is for it not to work. It's good to have some time off until the next go to allow your hormone levels to go back to normal and also to help you and your hubby recover pyschologically. Be positive - have a nice break and drink lots! Alison

Hi Nikola, Poor you the site going down when you really needed it. I'm so sorry this wasn't your time, but you sound nice and positve and ready to go for your next turn. Try and just enjoy youself for the next few weeks and over indulge a bit. Deb T x

Hi Nikola, Sorry it didn't work for you this time - and what bad timing for the site to go down, you don't realise how much you rely on it - especially when you need people who understand.
