Gail - know exactly what you mean! I seem to see pregnant tums and prams everywhere I go now! I think we all deserve to have babies more than a lot of women out there!

Snap! my cat trots over my keyboard too .... we bought a kitten when we found out about our infertility and all our emotions for a baby go into him ...... poor thing!
I'm sure we would put little booties on him if we could get away with it!

Is there anyone else out there who is going through egg retrieval or 2WW in November:?: Would be good to help each other along between now and then.......

Hi Sam,

I am new to all of this. This is my first and only IVF. We have one shot. My ER is scheduled for November 3rd. I am petrified. That is why I came out to find others who are going through it too. I have decided to have a positive attitude. I only know two people who have been through it. One dear friend tried seven times before they found she needed an egg doner. Another had a successful bout on her second try. Twin boys born just last week. I am so scared that no one in my life can possibly know, so I choose to deal with it alone with my dh.
I am looking forward to have other ladies to share this with and will keep you all posted. Next week can't come quick enough.
I am so disappointed to know that there were so many things i could do to improve my chances. I know no one else and my doctor did not give me any book ideas. I can proudly say that I stopped drinking soda 8 weeks ago. That was huge. It was more difficult for me than when I quit smoking after a decade.

Good luck to everyone!

New as well

Hi Sam,
I am also new to all of this and am in my first cycle. I think at best we might do 2 but not sure as I am not getting any younger.
I go tomorrow to see how my stimulation is going to hopefully have an ER on Halloween. (not sure if that is an omen or not.)

Growing up I just never thought that I would be doing this. You think you want to get pregnant, ok you try for a bit, and you are pregnant. Not so of course.
Even when I went in to see if I had a fertility problem after not getting pregnant after my first, I thought there is no problem just bad timing (husband travels.) And again, of guess what you have a blocked tube and chances are slim on your own plus you are on borderline reserve. Again never thought.
So now it is IVF and I just don't have good expectations. Nervous for tomorrow as what will happen as early in my sim I was not progressing far enough.
Will see by afternoon.
I hope I can get in on the forum as it is great to hear I am not alone.

Good luck!

Hi sammylou,

I'm new to this site (just joined today!), and am on day 7 of my second FET (first one was a BFN :(

At this stage, my transfer will be 7 Nov and then the horrible 2ww. I also had a pretty severe case of OHSS in July, and had to cancel my natural cycle...Spent 7 nights in hospital on a drip.

Good luck for your cycle - I hope we have some good news to share later next month!

Not this time

Post by JFESTEN »

I just had an ultrasound and it appears that I am not progressing.
My estrogen is only 82 and I am on day two. Got really upset when I found out it should be between 1000-2000! Doctor is still making me continue with treatment and I go in again on Monday. Unless I progess (which I cannot imagine I will), I will need to abandon this cycle. :(

Has this happened to anyone? They say that I will then need to go back on BC and period. Does this mean I am waiting almost another month to start again?
Doctor said that he would put me on another protacal that I have down as Microdose Lucrose Flare (sp?) that I guess is used for harder to stimulate people. (I am almost 39 on first week November and I guess I won't get the birthday present I wanted.)
I feel that I should just stop now as what is the point.
I would really LOVE to hear if anyone has had this type of treatment.

It took everything not to cry at work but didn't want to cause questions. I keep hugging and kissing my son who is wondering what is up with Mommy.

Really would like to hear from someone.
I guess I will have to be off this site since I won't have an ER in November unless a miracle happens.

Only good news was that my lining looks great at 8.1 based on taking Viagara 4x a day (suppositories, what fun!)

Best to all

Hi to all and welcome to the newbies, looks like this is going to be a bumper month........

eskavon- How are ya doing? Going skiing this weekend?

Nicki glad to hear you have a date ...woooo-hooo

sally good to have you back...hope you had a great hols.

Jodi- I had my 1st ivf canc because of poor response. I do hope that you have a good weekend and E2 increases. I was told to wit until Af came natuarly without BC) then start again. Hope it all works out for you on monday. keep us informed. thinking of you. ((((((((((hugs))))))))

Fulloffaith- go girl!!!!it's good to hear all that PMA Good luck

Today my PMA has gone walk about...I have become oh so despondant. I am still waiting on AF. 5 days now. Have some cramps then next day nothing. I feel that the hormones are not building up enough to set it off. The hosp said 6 wks ago it was early menopause and now I seem to think it is true. All i can do is wait until AF arrives and go in and get 3 day fsh test done. Whatever happens this is my hosp last chance of treating me and i am just heartbroken. I know you will all say it's not over till it's over but i think I have had enough.. sorry for all this low mood girls. I just need to sound of and let all the tears out. I have taken my dates off the list but am going to keep my name on ( some hope still left in me fighting.)

Loving hugs
jen

Jen,
sweetie,
Just wanted to send you hugs..I've been thru this time earlier this year- they told me I was most probably menopausal due to my high FSH, and it was so upsetting(putting it mildly)and look where I am.. dont ever give up hopes, dreams or faith in yourself and in God
I'm sending you big hugs and positive vibes to get your AF going- stupid b!@#h doesnt come on time when shes most needed and comes just when not wanted..
Hoping my AF jig works right away and that you're definitely ovulating.

To all of you novembies,

jen

so sorry you're feeling down but you're not out. just look at smita, she's an inspiration to all of us. and you know what AF is like, always off doing her own thing when she shouldn't. but your cramps are definitely a positive, it must be on its frustratingly slow way.

crossing tampons with towels that they'll soon be needed down your way.
big hug
