well i'm due for my first scan on thursday and i don't know if i'm looking forward to it or not.one part of me is and the other part is saying i'm pregnant and just leave it at that. i'll be seven weeks on friday.i don't even know if i should be posting on this side.i just keep thinking what if they can't see anything of it's in my tubes.i'm feeling a bit sick during the day but not much else.although i do feel abit bloated.well thats me haveing a moan.

Congrats on the BFP!
I posted on this side the day I got my BFP, but I was worried like you that the scan would show nothing. I had hardly any symptoms, I just couldnt believe I really was pg.
Maybe you should make a thread on this forum for people who arent ready to join the first tri yet!
Anyway good luck and I'm sure all will be fine.

I was in the same boat. The day of the scan my heart was in my throat and was beating so loudly I couldn't hear the doctor say that we had MULTIPLES! I believe I looked at the nurse and said "I can't hear him, did he say that we don't have anything?" I was just so sure that nothing would still be in there (kind of a sick trick for those of us who have had so many struggles - we're negative). She took my hand and said "No, he said that you have triplets in there."
Then came the shock....obviously.
You'll be fine. It goes so fast you'll need the doc to repeat themselves
As you can see from the replies its normal to think mad things before the first scan. I had myself convinced i had an ectopic or that there was nothing at all in there. I was shaking like a leaf and the consultant practicaly had to scrape me off the ceiling i was so nervous. But there, with a little flashing centre, was the little grain of rice and then another!!! Its so amazing!!! You'll be in bits. Enjoy it!! (Easy for me to say now!!) Looking forward to hearing all about it.
I am thinking ALL the same things - like bonbon I have convinced myself it is ectopic and keep looking up the syptoms on the internet at work when no one is about
I also have similar syptoms - feel sick (not being it- thankfully YET) and have been bloated since ET. It is just so unreal - I don't think that I will believe it until I have a baby in my arms
I also am worried about posting on this side but feel mean to ask some of the worries I have on the side where people are still trying to get a BFP and probably thinking I should just be happy I got a +ve

I had sleepless nights before both my scans. With all the what ifs....
I will more than likely have another one next week before I have my Nuchal fold scan!!
So far I have been worrying unnecessarily, but that will not stop me worrying in future. We have all been thru so much (and most have been thru much more than me) to get to this point and I think its only natural to be concerned.

anyway scan was brill seen the heart beat i was very nervous going into the scan. but it was such a load off my mind to see it flashing and yes there is a baby there in the right place .

I'm glad everything has gone ok for you, It must have been amazing to finally have evidence of being pg. I'm glad that I found this thread, as I have been feeling the same as you were. I am going for my scan on monday and at the mo am analysing ever feeling in my stomach....... It's not that different to the 2ww really!!!!!!
I keep telling myself that it's not another ectopic but that fear is never far from the serface. Roll on monday..
