Post by Jen1d »

 lola - i hate to hear you are feeling down in the dumps. Keep that chin up. People keep telling me "i must be positive" but its only natural to feel down at times and scared to get excited, its a way of protection ourself. Its great news about your 12 follicles. Good luck for Mon and Wed, my fingers are crossed for you. PMA all round.

Love Jen x

Thanks for all your congrats. It's so nice to read all these posting and to be there for eachother the way we are. How cool would it be to have a get together of all the women going through treatment during and after their cycles. :?

Now I'm axious to know if it is twins i guess i have 2 weeks to wait for that. Who's having multiples how high were your blood levels on your blood test? I'm just curious.

Thanks again. I'm off to bed now talk to you all soon.

Hi everyone. Hope that you are all doing ok. I haven't managed to get on line for a bit as my computer is being a bit crap.... ( probably just as well, as my phone bill is going to be hugh!!! ) But ...

I still have my growing bump  :D

I'm still in shock I think!!! But I am also quite bloated, which I am hoping is a good thing! I have my 1st scan tomorrow, so I am keeping everything crossed so that they give me some good news and don't burst my bubble!!! was 6weeks yesterday, so hopefully tomorrow they will be able to point my little babes out and I can start to see them trying to wave at mummy!!!

Anyway must dash now... good luck to all of you still on you're cycles. Hope you all are blessed too.

Morning gang

Lola - Mucho lucko for your EC on Wed. I have a scan that morning, 1st since have been stimming, so will think of you as we both try to make ourselves look as dignified as possible! You updated the list just before I was going to do it so yes we've got too much time on our hands! However I can update it again today, aha, coz Little R tested this morning and its a BFP, although she says its not a very big BFP and clinic is going to re-do on Weds. I'm sure you'll all agree we're praying for a happy result.

Liverpool/Tracie – EC 27/10
Heathero – ER 19/10/05 any update???
Nes – BFP! 1st scan 31/10/05
Inhale Exhale/Steph – BFP!
Slcannon/Stephanie – stimming, follicles a go-go
Leigh – 2ww test date 7/11
AJ/Anna – BFP!!!
Camilla – stimming
Jen – deregging, baseline scan 07/11/05
Debra - we love you
Ramo/Lisette – BFP!
Little R – BFP!
Lola – EC 2/11
Walshy - 4 Eggs in the deep freeze waiting

Wow, looking through list and a lot of BFPs!

To Nes, Steph, Anna and Lisette - our pregnant friends! It's lovely to hear your messages about how you're getting on.

Leigh - Hope you're relaxing. Can't believe it's nearly your time aswell. Doesn't time fly when you're having fun!

Had to go to clinic this morning to pick up some more stimming drugs coz had a terrible disaster on Friday evening. Let DH go out and said I'd be ok doing injections. Don't know exactly what happened but I had to mix the 4 drug vials with carrier liquid and when I looked there didn't seem to be much in the syringe and the next thing I knew the rest was spurting out over my trousers! Was a real panic moment but after some minutes with all my drugs and syringes surrounding me I decided I would just have to start again but of course that left me 4 vials short so hence the trip to clinic this morning. And the cost! Oh my god! I haven't told DH and won't and asked clinic not to mention it either! Am calm now but will continue to let DH administer!

I've been stimming for nearly a week and after my scan on Wed, when they will be able to see how many follicles there are, is it just a case of them getting bigger?

Hello to Jen and Stephanie - keep up the good work.

I am looking forward to having our names on the Nov test date thread (which I'm running). Leigh is on there and I suppose after her it will be Lola. So exciting.

Lots of love

Hello, My october friends that kept me sane!

First ultrasound this morning! Went well, they found the gestational sac and the yolk sac- proof positive of a pregnancy! :D One baby, not twins. Let me tell you a secret...... I got my BFP from the doc's office, so I have wanted to pee on a stick so badly to see what a postive looks like- but after so many negatives I was too scared- thinking the docs had it wrong and it was negative...... BUT, alas, I have a pregnancy and the ultrasound pictures to prove it.! Hoo-ray. I will add them to my embryo pictures taken just before transfer. I will pee on a stick tonight!

Lola- good luck today for EC and Wednesday for ET!!! Thinkin of ya and everything crossed that can be- am a yoga instructor so that is alot

Camilla- Also, good luck on scan- go follies grow!

Little R- congrats on BFP! Wonderful news- Cheers and Stickies!

Hi everyone.

I had my first scan this morning. They saw a gestational sac with a 'yoke sac', and confirmed that I was definately pregnant :D . .. BUT.... they also found a second one - also with a 'yoke sac' - but they said that it was considerably smaller than the first.

The nurse who was doing the scan upset me by basically saying that as it was so small I should just consider myself pregnant with one, as the smaller one would probably not develope much more...

How insensitive was that? I said to her if there was any chance that the smaller one could maybe 'catch up' or still develop, but maybe be slightly smaller and all she could say was maybe, but then again that would probably be unlikely....

I tell you, If I wasn't in shock with a probe up my crutch, I would have smacked her one!!!

As far as I am concerned, at this moment, the babies were too small to be able to detect a heartbeat, but there COULD be a chance that maybe she just couldn't scan me properly - normally one side is harder to scan than the other, - so in theory until we do manage to see any heartbeats, who is she to right the little one off before even giving them a chance to at least try to hold onto life....

Am I wrong in thinking that? Did any one else have any similar problems ?

Thanks Lola and Camilla for your thoughts.... wishing you both all the best for Wednesday. Big day, Wednesday!!!
Hope for superb number of follies for you, Camilla, on Wed. :D
Will be thinking about you, Lola, for your EC :D

Steph and Nes.....wow, congrats such wonderful news  ... to see your little ones! How perfect. :D
I agree, Nes: Some nurses are not always sensitive or competent, but the lovely ones certainly outweigh the insensitive ones.
This is what happened to me yesterday: I didn't do a HPT whilst in my 2ww (told it was pointless!). Got to the clinic for the test yesterday and was surprised that they gave me a HPT AND a blood test. Well the nurse told me the HPT was negative, but shouldn't worry as it didn't mean much. (Please explain why it was necessary then? I could have done it myself but they told me not to because could give false reading!) so I went home completely depressed and then called 3 hours later for the results of both the blood test and the HPT... which were BOTH positive but extremely low. I asked about the HPT.... and the Dr said that the nurse had read it incorrectly :?: I could have avoided 3 hrs of turmoil!

Anyway....I have to begin all over again tomorrow..finally managed to find a lab open during the 3 day public holiday and will have the results again at 1 pm. I'm praying hard!

Hugs to the rest of the Octobuddies and lots of PMA

Love,

Little R

Good morning

Nes - Don't let the nurse's attitude get to you. She doesn't know what it's like doing this and although she was insensitive you'll just have to forgive her ignorance. I think anything is possible and you may have two babies. If you stay calm so will they and they'll have the perfect place to grow.

Little R - What a roller coaster! Hope you finally somewhere tomorrow. Ditto above about being calm. My mum told me to think pink ie think softness and light and femininity because negative or angry feelings release testosterone which is not good for becoming/staying pregnant!

I am feeling tired and a little sore (especially on right ovary) but this morning, don't want to be too graphic but, I have a definite wetness like when I'm ovulating. Have clinic appt tomorrow so hope everything is ok but wondered if anyone noticed the same about a week after starting stims.

Lots of love to you all.
