Hi all,
Wow!, I've been off line for a few days, my computer threw in the towel and Johnie needed to "give it a kick in the guts" (whatever that means, all I know is that it's now working a treat!!). So much to catch up on!
Heather, I have e-mailed my QFG person and am eagerly awaiting a response re. staffing profiles and who might be alligned with Warren's approach. He was always a bit of a cowboy from what I can gather, but had great results (he was the doctor that was recently on the cover of the Sunday mail for facilitating the second set of quads in the same family)..you might have a HUGE family quicker than you thought!!. I'll pm you as soon as I hear something back.
Paula, fantastic that your tubes are clear. I have heard of a few women who get pregnant after this procedures, kind of like giving the tubes a bit of a high pressure hose I guess, cleans out any gunk or residue and allows for clear passage of egg's and embies. Fantastic re. the natural DHEA, give it a bloody good shot I say!!, will be great to hear what your doctor says after his reading on the synthetic DHEA as well.
Bella, as the other girls have already said, welcome to you. Good luck with the remaining 2ww, is a horrid time; you become sooooo sensitive to every twinge..I do know of Glen Sterling, did you see the article about him on the front cover of the Australian newspaper recently?..He is involved in a court case whereby he had an affair with a patient who then fell pregnant naturally (between IVF cycles). I have a good friend who wasn't so happy with Glen and came across to QFG after a number of negative cycles. As Heather says, QFG has the highest success rates in Qld and Sydney IVF leads Australia. My husband works with a fellow who (along with his wife obviously) are going through Glen and they LOVE him. They got pregnant first cycle and then lost the bub at 16 weeks following incompetent cervix (hate that expression, sounds so cruel). Apparently he was wonderfully supportive and they are currently back with him on another cycle. So different strokes for different folks I guess. You have to be happy with your doctor, only you can decide is you feel completely comfortable and if their particular approach suits you.. Who knows, this could all be quite reduntant discussion though once you get your BFP!!!
Tiger, what are you up to buddy??, how many days until you see hubby??
Boo is doing well, it's now 9 days until her birthday. I am yet to make the cake, I'm waiting until my mum arrives from Sydney, she's MUCH more domesticated than I am !! We're all well though.
Take good care all
Belinda
