Hi girls

just a quick pop, wanted to congratulate you Kat on your ET, fingers crossed for you sweetie til November 8th :D enjoy your 2ww...

So sorry for some of the sad news on this thread this month, D I have pm'd you, feel free to unload on me, I am good right now..

Randa, how's your waiting going, why are you waiting til Jan for ET???? (sorry I ahve missed something here  )

Love to all of you who are struggling on with bad news. I am living proof that you can get through it and get to have another go, as are so many of us here, {{{{cyber hugs}}}}

Wanted to let you know that my thyroid scan and blood test were good so I am now stabilised, at least for the moment. As Hashimoto's is degenerative, they'll be testing me monthly, but have green light to go ahead. We had the results from DH TESE samples, and they were NORMAL    thank God for that!!! What a 5 week wait that was, I had even contacted "mannotneeded.com" and asked for donor profiles (neither Kiev nor Spain can do 6'4" donors with green eyes)..but now we don't need them hooray!! So now working on shipping the TESE samples from Hamburg to Kiev, that's a larf I can tell you.....

WE are still waiting for a donor as ISIDA are not prepared to give me a near match donor, which is the norm, but are looking for exact match (blood group) to minimise immune issues risks. Frustrating the wait, but it's for a good reason. Updated list.

Kat - Fresh/donor cycle end Oct, 2ww, test ???
Nuala - fresh cycle, late Oct.
BigJ - TESE/donor egg cycle in Kiev in November.
Caroline - on a 6 week health trip before November FET
Amfy - started downregging Thurs 5th Oct
Anna -
JudeM -
JackieT -
Randa - Natural BDing until Jan
Heather - FET November sometime

will take time to read up the board over the next few days so that I can be more personal in my next post.

Love and hugs to you all

Hi all
Julie - nice to hear from you & glad to see you're making progress

Back in the damp & dreary UK now, at least it's not cold. I told the man at the airport xray thing I was pg so he didn't make me go through it - hope I haven't jinxed anything by getting a bit ahead of myself. Dr told me to use my common sense and to act pg so that's what I am doing. (Mind you from the size of my bloated belly they probably thought I was well on the way - can't keep my jeans done up this morning or they get uncomfortable) Bit early to be reading things into any small twinge but you know how it is. Trying to focus on implantation right now & trying to visualise them snuggling in & getting comfy.

Kat - Fresh/donor cycle end Oct, 2ww, test Tues 8th Nov
Nuala - fresh cycle, late Oct.
BigJ - TESE/donor egg cycle in Kiev in November.
Caroline - on a 6 week health trip before November FET
Amfy - started downregging Thurs 5th Oct
Anna - Down reg inj 3rd Nov, 1st scan 16th Nov
JudeM -
JackieT - start downregging 2/11 for FET
Randa - Natural BDing until Jan
Heather - FET November sometime

Lots of love

Hello Everyone!

BigJ - sooooooo good to hear from you. Congrats on your thyroid and other bloods coming back normal. We'll be praying you get over this next hurdle of finding an exact donor match.

Kat - this is so exciting! PMA til Nov 8. This group is way over due for some good luck and I just know you are the one who will turn it around for us!

Heather - you make me laugh with your signature (39 + 1)

Not sure if Jude wants to be on this list. I know she's pregnant, but thought it would give us all a boost to have some of our "over 40" crowd who is over the hump in our list. There are others (Alette, Caroline, more) who went to the other side since Jan, but can't remember who all they are or what their due time is. Maybe I'll pop over there and see what they think about allowing us to put their due dates on our thread to cheer us up. Afterall, they were once over here too. (?)

Has anyone heard from Nuala?

BigJ - to answer your question about waiting until Jan for next cycle... now that we have 9 frosties to work with, we will do a fresh full cycle next round and Dec was the soonest I could (they like for me to have one normal period in between cycles). HOWEVER, we are having family in for the holidays, plus traveling to Cuba during the time I would have had to be taking injections and doing EC/ET. So for good reasons, we pushed it back to January.

Our Halloween party was a success last night. Last guests left at 2:30 a.m. 8) Big mess to clean up today. Slight hangover. Hubby was a SMASH as Austin Powers International Man of Mystery. Our guests wore some pretty great cosumes. It was fun!

OH! I have some good news.... my annual check up revealed that my cholesterol is way down from 275 of last year.... drum roll please... my new number is.........198!!!!! Woo hoo! And all without any drugs! I'm so proud can you tell? :D :D :D

Happy Sunday to everyone!

Hi all

Randa - glad to know the party went well - did you wow them all with your incredible English accent?! I must remember to buy some sweeties tomorrow for when the kids come trick or treating - otherwise they'll have to have sultanas or something which won't go down quite so well.

Can't believe how dark it is here now we are back on GMT, 6pm & pitch black which means I will now be driving to and from work in the dark which I don't like, at least it doesn't last too long I suppose. Soon be January...

Nothing to report on the 2ww front, minor crampy feelings, few little twinges and I can't sit comfortably with my jeans done up, all of which will be the patches & pessaries I am sure, rather than anything else, before you all get too excited! Oh and sore nipples if I poke them hard. And sticky knickers from those nasty little pessaries. Sorry - enough!

Hi Kat!

Great to hear you sounding happy and relaxed. This can only be a good thing. (or are you just a good actress?!!)

I'm back to the clinic tomorrow to see how my ovaries are progressing and whether we're still on target for ER next Tuesday 8th November.

hi all
heather-- you are a star... thank-you
everyone seems to be in good spirits at the moment, which is great..
kat-- im sure that randa is right about your turn now. im keeping everything crossed for you.
amfy-- i hope things are beginning to move on nicely for you.
anna-- as you can see from my last post your not the only one who fights with the computer, so i dont feel too bad now, knowing your the same as me...
we have our halloween party tomorrow night and im dressing madi in her pumpkin suit. she looks gorgeous,{a bit biased there}
we go to clinic on tues to get b.p. checked, and hopefully they wont stop us going through on weds.
madi has a visit to her surgeon on weds also, when she was born {at 27+6} she had kicked through the amniotic sac {abs}and it had wrapped around her leg like a rubber band, they operated when she was 2 days old {and 2lb} to release some and then again when she was 6mths, so now its time to get it checked again, so hopefully that will go well.
so will talk soon

Well I am now officially 40 so I guess I’m now qualified to join this thread if that’s OK with you guys. I’m not sure I’ll be a great contributer though, either in posts or in terms of bringing good luck. So far I’ve been pretty unlucky – since Nov 04 I’ve had 3 ICSI attempts, first was a +ve but then early m/c and the rest both negative. Problem is male factor but potentially compounded by uNKC. Hysteroscopy and an endo biopsy last month revealed only that I am in perfect health and I have no fertility problems whatsoever. I’m lucky enough to be able to use my own eggs (I always get to blasto stage) and, though I’ve never had my FSH levels tested, I am a good responder to stimms (25 eggs at last EC). So I’m totally at a loss as to why IVF doesn’t work for me. Next stage is an unmedicated FET in December. We’ll be testing my progesterone levels and possibly giving me additional injections, but other than that and the steroids for the uNKC I can’t see what else we can do. I’ve got 7 frozen blastos waiting which is great, though I’m concerned about how many will defrost OK (I gather blastos are more complex to defrost).

I don’t plan to join any other threads other than this one. No offence to some of the younger ladies, but I’ve been through this too many times to feel that PMA alone is enough to get me a BFP and I also know my body too well. When I’m bleeding 2 days before test date I KNOW that the cycle has failed and, whilst well-meaning, the messages telling me to stay positive as it could be ‘implantation bleeding’ don’t really help. Maybe I’m just too much of a pessimist (though I view myself as more of a pragmatist). Anyway, between the ladies on this thread I think we all have great experience and possibly a more realistic outlook, so this is the only thread I’d feel comfortable posting on.

Am off to China on Friday for a pretty hectic but much-needed holiday and then once AF comes will be getting ready for the FET in early Dec. Am particularly wishing Kat good luck for her upcoming test. Nuala, if you’re around we cycled together in July/August – am wishing you every success this time round and hope to hear good news when I am back in Nov! Good luck to everyone else too.

Kat - Fresh/donor cycle end Oct, 2ww, test ???
Nuala - fresh cycle, late Oct.

Caroline - on a 6 week health trip before November FET
Amfy - started downregging Thurs 5th Oct
Anna -

Randa - Natural BDing until Jan
Heather - FET November sometime

I’m visiting Shanghai, Xi’an and Beijing. All very rushed – 3 nights, 2 and 3 nights so not much spare time! We’ve got a private tour guide and driver in each city as I’m travelling with my husband and his brother and girlfriend who don’t speak English, so we’re sort of babysitting them (and we have an Italian-speaking guide). It looks to be a good trip, and I’m looking forward to it!

What’s Mandarin for Hello? Can’t find that particular word in my Lonely Planet!

Welcome, Dancola! I know I speak for other long-timers on this thread when I say it is flattering that you feel you can eliminate the others but value this one - nice to hear. I must confess, when I check my in-box and see a list of threads with activity, I'm happiest to see this one come up and I always go to it first.

Our age really does present an additional set of issues that we need to keep well-informed on (bad English).

Enjoy your fabulous trip to China! That would be a really BIG deal for me. I can't even imagine myself going there.

Hope everyone else is having a fine evening. I'm in Arizona visiting my dds this week, so posting will be a little more challenging.

Happy Halloween!

Hi Everyone, just a note to say how much I enjoy(!) reading all your messages and catching up with your news. This site is keeping me sane at the moment. We haven't confided in anyone about our IVF treatment and it really helps to visit the site.
What does eveyone do when they need time off work for appointments? Have you told your managers what is going on?

Kat, thank you especially for you pm's!

I am counting the days to begin down reg.... again. Crossed fingers the cysts don't reappear!

Bye for now, good luck to all
