Spotting--what's normal?

Post by wantsababy »

Hello. I'm new to this site and wish I'd found it earliler! I am 12 days past ET on my first IVF cycle. Yesterday I started spotting (was brownish in color and not too heavy). I called my RE and they said it was normal. They said if it turns red or increases in quantity by a lot, I should call back. And that happened today. Lots of bright red blood, and even some clots coming out (sorry to be so graphic). I'm worried I've lost one or both of the embryos and that this is actually my period arriving. Has anyone had this much red blood and still had a pos. preg. test? I go in for Beta test on Thursday. . . Thanks for any advice you have.

Well, I went in early for my Beta test and BFN. On to another month of drugs and more hoping.

I'm so sorry that this wasn't to be your turn - take time to come to terms with this before going again. It's a hard journey at the best of times.

Good luck with everything.
