Jacs

Good luck with the housework - know what you mean, I go through stages of being "mad about the house" or "well, a little bit of dust won't hurt". I guess that full on nesting period hasn't quite kicked in yet.

I've had a nice relaxing day today - Little One is kicking away which is lovely, I have to admit it is one of the best parts of pregnancy so far. I hope you all enjoy it as much as me.

Well, best go show willing and face the chores.

Hugs to all.

Hi everyone

I'm now 13 wks and 2 days (can't make ticker stick for some reason!) so I'm moving over here if that's okay. I seem to be a bit out of sync with everyone else timewise - I think most people over here are almost ready to go over to third Tri. Anyway Hello to everyone hope your all doing okay. Love Vicky.

Welcome Vicky - the more the merrier, hope you're feeling ok.

Jacs

You sound as though you'll be a busy bee right up until you go - you'll need that break just to get some relaxation in.

We go on Monday, so I'm just a couple of days behind you. Can't wait to get away :D

Got to go try catch some shut-eye - still very tired!!

Night all

Morning all

Had my second Ante-Natal Appointment today - it went well and she let us listen in to the baby.

Little One is nice and active at the moment which is lovely.

Hope you are all ok.

Hi everyone

Glad to hear everyone is doing well. Time seems to be going so quickly at the moment it will be christmas before we know it.
I think I have started to feel the baby move. I know it seems a bit too early but for the last few days I have felt almost a tickling sensation, like an insect creeping around. Does that sound crazy? perhaps it is just wind.

Little P and Jacs - enjoy your hols

Smita - enjoy your DH!!

Cheryl - sorry to hear about your nan, hope she gets better soon. My dates keep being brought forward so you never know we could end up in labour next door to each other!

Vicky - welcome to the fun bit

Hope everyone else is enjoying the 2nd tri, its definately an improvement on the first for me.

Take care all

Olivia

Sounds just like the first sensations of feeling the baby to me. It's a bit like a popping / bubble feeling isn't it? You're not far away from feeling an actual kick

Are you having a 20 week scan? If so, are you going to find out the sex of the baby?

Enjoy it all

Little P

I have a 20 week scan three weeks today. I think we will find out, curiousity has got the better of me as I am convinced we are having a boy.

Will you find out or is it to be a surprise?

Olivia

I would love to know, but DH was adamant from the start that he would love the surprise next year. So, I shall just have to keep playing the guessing game and wait a little while longer.

Do you find that the time is going quicker now that you are past the First Trimester?

HIE GIRLS

Its nice to catch up again on everyone's news. Its amazing how time is flying like little P has just said. Its nice as well when most of the babies are making their presents felt, ITS AMAZING WHEN THEY KICK- I ENJOY IT.

Jacky and little p have nice holidays and look after those precious bumps, remember they are now little people.

Smita , I was so happy for you I nearly shed a tear, what a nice surprise from DH, enjoy every moment of it.

Welcome Vicky its lovely when you graduate to the 2nd tri isnt it.

Olivia, when my baby started kicking I jumped up with joy. Now I can see my bump moving as the baby shifts from here to there.

To everyone else how are you doing, I will be posting oftenly now that I have reduced my working days.

Hi everyone

Sorry I havent been around a few days. Its taken me a while to catch up with all the posts!

Vicky - Welcome! Its always good to see new people joining the thread. I hope you are enjoying your pregnancy.

Minnow - Poor you with the vomiting episode. I guess at least people could see your bump and hopefully understand your situation! I still have nausea on a morning but luckily feel ok the rest of the day. I feel as if im stuck with nausea for life now! Almost expect it to still be around after the baby's born!
I thought it was exciting shopping for baby things, until Tuesday when I went shopping for a pram with my mum. There was too much choice and I found it too stressful! Came home with nothing! Then yesterday, just browsing in the local Mothercare store, which I thought was too small to have prams and found one which was perfect for me!
Im still cautious about buying everything yet though!
Good luck with finding a house to rent/buy. Hope it all goes smoothly!

Cheryl - Hope you get news on what is happening with your Gran soon. Its hard to deal with when you dont know reasons why isnt it?
Your DH sounds similar to mine, in another room on the computer! I guess he might as well make the most of it while he can!!
The 3rd tri thread is very quiet at the moment, so although I will post on there, I will probably stay with both until more people appear!

Little P - Its very reassuring to have all the measurements/tests done isnt it? (Well, as long as all is ok I suppose!) I still compare myself to other women who are pg, but as my DH 'tactfully' put it, my bump is more spread out! I wish my DH could have come with me to hear the heartbeat. It is an amazing sound isnt it?
I also find my energy is low sometimes and I get very tired. Its quite frustrating sometimes isnt it? Theres so much I want to do sometimes and find I just have to rest!
Hope you have a wonderful relaxing holiday!

Jacs - Hope you feel better soon. Maybe your holiday will help. At least you wont have to worry about housework! Hope you also have a wonderful, relaxing time and return feeling refreshed!

Smita - You are probably having a wonderful time catching up with DH! What a lovely surprise - enjoy your time together.

Olivia - Sounds like your baby making itself known! I also described it as feeling like an insect is crawling around at first! Its quite tickly, isnt it? Enjoy it!

Esther - It is amazing every time the baby moves or kicks isnt it? Still make me jump sometimes! I have now started to feel a 'pushing' sensation as if she is practising walking or having a stretch.
I bet its a good feeling working less hours isnt it? Im getting fed up with work now, cant wait for my maternity leave. I also think it doesnt help that Im just so baby obsessed now, nothing else is important anymore!

Started my NCT antenatal classes on Tuesday. It was really good. I think DH enjoyed having other fathers-to-be to talk to as well.
Im off now to go and get ready for Aquanatal. Part of me cant be bothered to go, but I know I will enjoy it when Im there and it will do me good!

Take care everyone

Kim

Sounds as though you're getting nice and sorted now. We've started buying things bit by bit - most of which will be delivered in the New Year.

I found it so exciting the first time I went into a Baby Shop knowing that this time it was because I was shopping for our baby. I have longed for this moment for so long that when we finally paid our first visit as an expectant couple I was very emotional.

I know what you mean about buggies - there are 100s of them out there and with such a wide choice available it is difficult knowing which one is best for you. I'm glad you've got it sorted though.

Take care of yourself.

Hope the rest of you are looking after yourselves.

Big hugs to all.

Little P
