Had FET yesterday and have a few questions on what to expect

Post by hearing chic »

Hi everyone, i am new here. I just had a FET yesterday. I had invitro in june and miscarried at 6 weeks. I just knew it, cause i had the most severe cramping. But i accept it. I had 6 eggs frozen, all are cleaved. I dont like the sound of cleaved, cause when they were defrosted they dropped a grade from blast to cleaved. I had 3 eggs inserted yesterday. The dr. had to defrost all 6 to to get the best. Its okay though cause i do not want to go thru invitro again. Out of the 6, 3 were put back in 1 egg had 9 divisions, 1 egg had 8 divisions and 1 egg had 4 divisions. The dr. said the 9 and the 8 were really good and the 4 was ok. What should i make of this? I will dwell 4ever if i dont get an answer, plus i didnt want to ask him yeseterday. The dr also did the assisited hatching w/ these 3 eggs. He says i can definietly have twins. The first time i did invitro i had 2 beautiful blasts put in and obviously, it didnt work.. Also, i feel sooo much better this time, no cramps or nothing. Is this normal? I am 34 years old, 105 lbs just as an fyi :?:

I dont' really know about all the stages of the cells, but I had two put back after thawing out. They will only put back two in Australia - which i think is a pity after all we have to go through to get to that point, we may as well get the best chance. One of mine that thawed out had to be re-frozen, which is not good for it.
I am with you - I don't think I can go through EC again.
anyway, my first FET got a positive, so good luck with yours.

Seepi,
thanks so much for the insight. In NY we can request how many eggs that we want to go back in. The drs. have to comply, which isnt always the case. They really dont want multiple births. But, if they are my eggs, and i want them, im gonna get them!!! When did you find out your pregnancy result? How soon after the transfer? How are you feeling?

I found out at the day 10 blood test (ten days after ovulation/trigger injection). So about 5 days after they were put back in. This was a very very low positive from a blood test. only 10HCG. It didn't show up on home preg tests. I then had a good hcg at day 12 - 60. So that was the day they really said Congratulations!
AFter that I felt fine, although I had little pains in my abdomen a lot. Just lately (7 weeks) i have started to feel sick. I don't really mind though - it is a sign that something is happening in there.
Good luck!
