hi girlz, I am doing fine, thank you for informing.
getting bigger and bigger.
this is my last week at work, everything is arranged.
after giving birth I will have a nurse to pamper me for 48 hours.
it is still unreal and I cannot imagine not being pregnant but being a mum.
Hello All,
I've been sooo busy with work and stuff that I haven't had a chance to look on here let alone post! But, now that I've started my new job my life has got much more managable. My working day is now shorter by over an hour and that seem to make a huge difference. Also, I now don't get out of hours calls or have any worries work wise
In terms of how my pregnancy is going - it is thankfully uneventful. I'm going to be 12 weeks on Friday and I don't know where the time has gone. I've not had any sickness (apart from some evenings where I have felt just a bit 'off'), I've had no aches and pains so far so I can hardly believe my luck. If it wan't for the fact that I have now had to buy new clothes (and have had to completely abandon all of my old clothes) and the scans, I wouldn't believe that I was pregnant. I am begining to feel less tired in the evenings but am starving hungry about every 3 hours. I'm trying to eat healthy things but it is difficult with work - sometimes give in to a chocolate bar!!
Next scan isn't until 20 weeks and seeing as we've had 3 scans done in the first 11 weeks it will seem like ages to wait. Still, I'm sure time will fly.
Glad to see that people seem to be doing fine - although this thread has been really quiet.
Take care all

It's so good to hear how everyone's doing! I'm doing great. Absolutely no bleeding after that horrible incident a month and a half ago, and my nausea has really toned down (though it's not completely gone yet). I feel so much more energetic, plus I'm feeling happier and more confident that this will work out. I'm getting a little chubby, so I started buying maternity clothes on Ebay--just whim. They haven't gotten here yet, but it was really fun to daydream about wearing them. I also just told my department chair and provost (I teach at a college), so it's officially out in the open. So this is a new phase, and a really fun one!
Good luck to everyone!

IVF with donor egg in July '05--SUCCESS!!!!!!!
Just a little update - I started my maternity leave and turned 44 all this week - how strange! Saw a new midwife this week who has another patient of 47, pregnant with donor egg, it made me feel less concerned for my age.
I am still in good health and am as ready, as I will ever be, in a practical sense for the arrival of our baby. I know that the next 4 weeks will fly by so I am trying to keep busy with Xmas shopping and clearing the house of our childless extravagant extras, like the abundance of luxury holiday and trekking brochures!
Jude, I know you are now ahead of me from another post, so I wish you the very best of luck with the birth and look forward to seeing your updates.
Alette, you must be nearly there, still think about you and hope for your update very soon.
Debbie and Donna, haven't heard from you in a while, hope all still going well.
I hope this thread will be filled with new members from the other over 40s group as you complete your treatment and natural attempts pre and post Xmas.

I know exactly what you mean - I don't like to complain BUT its very uncomfortable at this stage of the pregnancy, especially as my little one is prone to sitting on my left hip bone which is very painful.
Good luck
