4th attempt IVF feeling very anxious

Post by lesley721 »

Hello anybody,

This is my fourth attempt at IVF, I had ET on 1st November from frozen eggs, my first week is just over and has been ok, a few cramps feeling quite tired, but now I'm just feel sorry for myself, thinking the worst, I can't concentrate at work have no symptons that I may be pregnant. I have to take the test on 16th, how on earth will I make it to then?

Has anyone some kind advice.

Hi Lesley!

Sorry you feel so bad, I am affraid the 2ww are very difficult, and none of us has a miracle solution to go through it easily...

Try to relax (yoga...). Even if you cannot concentrate on your job, I think it is better than to stay home alone...

Sorry I cant help you much, you should go on the general forum and join the 2ww thread, you will find a lot of support there!

Good luck with those little embies! You ar nearly there!
Keep you spirit up (by the way, many ladies do not have any symptoms during 2ww and get a BFP!!)

Loads of PMA and baby dust

Take care

hiya lesley,

im sorry that you are feeling so down at the moment but sure that well all help you get through this agonising wait....

have you been reading the book by zita west to improve your PMA that we all go on about, i must admit that i am starting to feel stronger thru this site and the book....

my situation is similar to yours (4th attempt)... i have slight endo and TTC for 4 years, 1 cancelled IUI, 2 failed IUIs, 1 cancelled IVF, 2 failed IVFs, 1 failed FET and the worst part one natural conception between all that ending in a miscarriage( i know i should be grateful for the conception but i think its worse having it then taken away!)

what is your condition? ie, why IVF? what area are you from and are you on NHS? whats your age?

i was 30 six months ago...have decided to wait til after xmas for my next FET....

i really hope it does work for you, and everyone is different, some get symptoms of +tive and some dont for a couple of months maybe....

you really are strong enough to keep going though as this is your fourth attempt, remember all good things come to those who wait....

never give up your dream love, keep going youll get there one day, when its your turn - it will soon be your day!

take care & if i can help atall please contact me, lol donna99 xxxxxxxx

Hi donna,

Thank you for your support and kind words, I live in Scotland and I am 32 so is M.
Both of my tubes are damaged - hence IVF.

My third attempt was in May this year, had embros frozen at that stage, so they class this embro transfer as the same cycle, my last NHS.

You always feel sorry for yourself, when there are lots of people in the same boat. I do beleive that if it's meant to be then it will happen. Patience is not easy, as you will know yourself.

I will never give up on my dream. xx

Hi Lesley

I think Donna has said it all really - staying positive and strong is hard but you've gone through so much already - you must be uber strong! Try and stay positive, it will happen. have to believe that.
I'm testing on the same day as you! This is my first cycle of IVF. I haven't gone back to work yet - feel too wierd - think the progesterone is like anti-prozac and making me tearful. Stupid hormones.
Here's hoping the 16th will be our lucky day! :D woo hoo!
Stay positive
love, Lola
