Hello amies francophones...

Hehe, Nicki!!

I am afraid that yes, your French is a bit rusty!! At least you would be able to survive, asking for some food and money!! LOL!

Denise, I dont miss speaking French, it's just that I will have my next IVF ICSI in France, and I really don't know what the protocols are, I am also confused because the names of the drugs are different than in English, and I also have to learn the whole IVF vocabulary!

I have been on a French IVF message board and it's like they are speaking chinese!!

I have to say that the French are really behind with all the fertility IVF thing. I am so glad I found this forum!!

Take care ladies!

We're bi-lingual - but the French here is not the same as France.

Quebecois French is full of slang - and the accents are different all over the place. The Maritime provinces almost have their own dialect.

French is taught in our schools, manditory to high school. Some people take it further. I'm interested now in taking Spanish, which would be very helpful in my travels.

My French gets a little rusty because I rarely use it... but I can also speak in basic sign language, and I can curse in Dutch!!

Jeni, I am from Lyon, just next to the Alps! But now I have a house near Bordeaux, on the ocean coast!

Denise, cool, language signs! I wanted to learn in France but it was very very expensive
I am learning Portuguese (had 2 lessons so far...) because DH works in Angola so we live there...
One of my friends moved to Quebec when we were young. I see her when she comes on holidays, and yes, sometimes it is difficult to understand, as some words are differents. But the accent is very funny!!

Au revoir!

Bonjour Souris,
A bientot....bon courage
Delphine

Seulement 2 bon?

Bon chance.

:o hello Nickymark,
Well done, pretty good translation....
Yes, we had a negatif back in april and we were recommanded isci because of the poor level of embryons, only 2 good ones out of 19, so we need a little help....hopefully we'll try again in the summer(financial reasons).
Good luck with your testing on the 27th...
delly
