Hi Souris,

Think i'll join you if that's ok? We are hoping to start tx again maybe january time - we're in the process of saving, so we reckon we'll have enough money by then.
I'm really looking forward to trying again - though hafta admit, shall probably be bricking it when the time comes!

Hello Heather!

I am aslo very impatient to start, and I am counting the days until Jan. My last tmt was in April and it feels like ages!
Like you, I had to work on my finances...

I hope this post will help the waiting to go faster!!

Take care

Oh i know what you mean, souris!!!

I'm so impatient to get started - just want to get on with it!

Hubbs is excited about it too - the only thing i'm not too keen on is that this is going to be our very final go - talk about pressure to perform!! I may try talking to hubbs about maybe having another go after this if it doen't work - but then where do you stop???

Ho hum... roll on January!!!

Hi Heather

My hubby feel the same, if it doesn't work this time, he doesn't really want me to go through another cycle as I was pretty devastated when it failed last April.
I wish he could be more involved, because of his work, I have to go through the tmt on my own... last time I was also alone for the 2ww and the test date...not very funny, especially when you get e BFN!
And he has children from a previous marriage, so having a child doesnt mean as much for him that it does to me!

Anyway, hope this time I will get a BFP! If no, we havnt decided yet what to do next.

Jackie,
I think my clinic will go with a short protocol (no down regg), which means I should start the injections on the 2nd day of AF. But AF are not due before the 20th of Jan, which means I will not test before beggining of Feb! So you will be before me!

Have a lovely week end!

Hi Folks,

A thought occoured to me last night - would we be able to use the same donor sperm that we used to have the boys? Am going to ring my clinic on Monday to find out - it'd be great if we can, but with the shortage of donor sperm available, it doesn't look likely. Fingers crossed though.
Souris - i noticed you said that you'd be in the 2ww at the end of jan, beginning of feb time - that's roughly about when we will be too!!!
I'm so excited about treatment i just want to get on with it now!!!

Hi Souris & Heather,

I think I will be joining you. I've got an appt with clinic on 6th Dec and I was told over the phone that I could start downregging in Dec ready to start stimming in the New Year - I nearly freaked!! I think I'll wait until the new year before I do anything as we are going to my family in Ireland for Christmas and don't want to be a narky so & so which can happen when downregging.

I can't believe it has come round so quickly too - must stop all alcohol now!

Getting nervous too about getting a positive result but hope we can all cheer each other on.

Love

Hi Pauline, welcome!

I think it's good to wait until after xmas (well for me I dont have a choice as the clinic is closed -hehe!!), as you will fully enjoy the time with your family, without having to worry about the tmt (although it is always there, at the back of our heads i guess!!)

I feel a lot of pressure to get a BFP too, maybe because I dont know if there will be a 3d chance for us if #2 doesnt work...

I dont have to give up alcohol as I dont drink, but today is my first day free of ciggies! I think i am doing well for the moment!

Speak soon
take care

Hi Souris

Thanks for the welcome - good on you for giving up the ciggies - it is all for a good cause so hopefully that will make it easier.

Hi girls,

Welcome Pauline - glad you've joined us - glad you've made the decision to wait till after christmas to start treatment - there's nowt worse then being narky and then having to explain why. Where about's in Ireland are you going? Hubbs, Brennan and I went on holiday to Avoca in september - had a great time.

Souris - well done you on giving up smoking!!!! Long may it continue.

As for me, well i rang my clinic this afternoon to ask if we'd be able to use the same donor as we had for Brennan. Unfortunately, it's highly unlikely, due to the shortage, but i'm sure i read somewhere that even if the donor has reached his limit of live births, then they'll still go ahead if a sibling is required. Will hafta check that one out.
We go to the clinic for a pre treatment follow-up appointment on thursday at one. I didn't expect to have to go in so soon, i'm all excited though!!!

Anyways, that's me - hope everyone is ok.

hi guys!

id like to join too, ive decided to wait until the new year too, find it harder to cope with tmt this time of year!

following previous tmt of 1 cancelled iui, 2 failed iuis, 1 cancelled IVF, 2 failed IVFs, 1 failed IVF FET and a natural conception inbetween resulting in a miscarriage; which 11 months on are still coming to terms with!

i only have minor endometriosis, clinic says i only need a bit of good luck, especially being 30! nice to hear but drives you mad!

so going back in jan for FET...so this will be the 4th ivf.....if this doesnt work, would anyone recommend asking for further tests, ie. killer cells/anything to do with my immune system? or do things like that show up in your blood results?

so just thought id introduce myself to my new gang & like im sure all you are, i am wishing the days away until 2006 and am lucky enough to be going on hols for xmas as fed up of trying to escape families with kids!!!!!!!!!! sure you all know what i mean....

anyhow, heres to next year girls , lets hope its OUR YEAR ! because we bloody deserve it!!!

Hi girls. Looks like I'll be a New Year buddy too. Could have started treatment last month, but was advised egg collection would be around 12th Dec. Typical. I have a big concert that day, so have had to delay. Clinic is shut over Christmas, so am to ring with Dec AF, so I think I shall be joining you.
We have had 3 -DIUIs so all this is new. I'll be relying on your guidance. Can't wait for it to all start though.
Here's to the New Year. Image
