Hi, dont worry the ovary pains are common. The IVF drugs cause your ovaries to swell, and when I went for my scan at 7 weeks my ovaries were still swollen and had a large follicle in one. I actually thought at one point it was gonna be an eptopic as the pain was so bad!
I still get ovary pains now, but apparently its due now to my insides all stretching.
Try not to worry I think its pretty normal
Congrats on getting a BFP

Hi Jay

Just to reiterate what Susie has said. At my 6.5 week scan my ovaries were still 'greatly enlarged' but by the 2nd scan at 8.5 weeks they were back to normal. I also used to worry about an ectopic before my first scan because it was painful at times.
Take care

When I had my scan last week (11 weeks) they told me that one of my ovaries (left one I think) is still a bit enlarged. They were just keeping an eye on it, they said, and it was nothing to be concerned about.

hope your pains ease up soom
Take care

Hi Nandini, congrats on positive. It could well be ovary pain but why not contact your clinic just to be on safe side particularly if your pains are all the time and uncomfortable. Don't worry but just give them a ring for reassurance (you can usually ask for a Nurse to ring you back if there's no one available to talk to you),
Best wishes,

Hi Nandini

Congrats on your news. I have had all sorts of pains in my lower tummy, on each side, in my back. I think these are more likely to be an indication of twins - as in my case, as your uterus is moving and stretching at quite a pace compared to a single pregnancy!

So good luck with your scan in Dec... You never know!
