Sue,
I don't know about Donna, but I am at the Hewitt Centre at LWH. I love Dr. Lewis Jones' haircut (or lack of it) don't you? We are under Dr. Gazvani now.
I must admit, I find them all a bit intimidating there, but I think that's just me and my insecurity about the whole thing showing through. Good luck for Jan. Here's hoping you get a timely AF.

Hi Girls,

I'm so nervous/excited about my appointmernt tomorrow. Have a million questions that i want to ask - main one is though, and feel free to answer if you know, do we have to go through all the bloods again? You know the ones, HIV, CP etc - anyone know?

Hi Heather,

Good luck with your appointment tomorrow.

If your previous results are over year old you will probably need to repeat the bloods for HIV, HEP B & HEP C etc. You will also have to have the usual FSH etc.

Our results for HIV etc were over a year old and my clinic told me that if I wanted to save money (we are paying this time) I could get my GP to run these test for us - which he did - so we saved approx £150.

Hope this helps.

Hope everyone else is doing okay?

Hello,

I think it depends on your clinic. My previous clinic asked for blood test from max 6 months old.

Doesn't NHS reimburse blood tests??

Hi,

We're paying privately, so our local GP won't do any bloods for us - i'm also loathe to go to him for a HIV test as it'll be on my med records and available to furture morgages/ life assurances etc. I could go to the GUM clinic though - maybe a thought. To be honest, i really hadn't thought about repeat bloods and i definately hadn't budgeted for them - seem's like we're gonna hafta find more money!!!

Hi Girls

I hope to be joining you in Jan !! Not too far away now at all. Just need to keep df away from the cigs, booze, sugar and caffeine for a few more weeks and who knows, we might not even need ICSI ?!? (Every hopeful and will keep plying him with the supplements).

Hi all,

Lynne - I think doctor lewis-jones's lack of haircut is fab, he's a lovely guy though, he really made us feel at ease. I think our consultant is also doctor gazvani. I find all the waiting around quite annoying, sometimes the appointment lasts 10 mins and we have waited over 1 hour. Roll on 2006

Souris - thanks for the welcome, it's good to be back in a buddies thread as i really missed septembies when i had to leave.

Heather - good luck with the appointment today, hope you get the answers to all those questions.

Sand - Hoping all is well with you.

Smita - thank you for your encouragement, how are you?

Good look ladies, and here's hoping for a fab new year for us all

Love

Sand welcome on the new year thread!
You must be superwoman to keep Dh away from all these things at once! What is your secret??

Took me long enough to make DH quit booze (it was a condition to stay together...), I tried to make him stop smoking, but no success... I havn't even think about the caffeine ( he will never stop)!
I am harassing him to start a diet (or at least not to eat like a pig) but he calls me a tyran!! and have abandonned the weekly exercise plan...

DH is the most unfit/unhealthy person i have ever seen!! STill love him though lol!!

Jay Smita, thank you for your encouragements!!
Nicki, how are you doing? not going crazy yet?? Wish you the best,
loads of baby dust!

Hi Girls,

Appointment with clinic went very well today - better than we'd hoped.

We're not having DIUI as we'd originally planned, we've been advised to go for IVF, and donate half our eggs. We go for another appointment on 6th Dec, to match me up with a recipient. Am soooo excited.

Thanks for all the good wishes
