Hey there my friends....

After I share my news, you are going to think I am positively insane!!!
So please pretty please try and not think lesser of me because I am about to do an 360°!

I had a bit of an epiphany this morning when I woke up: trust your instincts, stop stressing about it and go with the flow.

Well, it turns out that my instincts changed their mind overnight! :x I don't think that I am ready for the emotional side of an IUI simply because in my mind, an IUI is a bigger deal than natural conception. I don't want to put my faith in the IUI and be disappointed again because emotionally, it would be harsh. Steph is right, I haven't had time to grieve yet. I want to seize the day but with caution. How can I explain this without sounding nuts?
This morning it was very clear to me that I should be grateful that my body is coping with all that it's been hit with and coping very well. It wants to get pregnant. So I am going to respect that and trust it. If it works, well it will be an unexpected and fabulous surprise as it hasn't naturally in over 4 years. If it doesn't, so be it..I haven't lost anything as this was a bonus.

With this in mind, I headed out for my scan and the news is good... follicle is at 19mm and endometrium has cute lining. My body seems ready....I had another doctor today and he was very kind. He helped me confirm my decision. His recommendation given my history is to try this time naturally as I had been through a lot already. Additionally, IUI has a slim chance of working AND with frozen sperm even less. He suggested I trigger ovulation so that tonight my DH and I could work on our little project ;-) DH leaves tomorrow at 7am so we have one whole night together to do our magic and hopefully it will last until I ovulate tomorrow or day after.

Anyway... be gentle with your thoughts as after re-reading this it does sound like I have taken leave of my senses ;-) Talk about a turn-around!

Thank you sweet Camilla for your update.... definitely easier to keep track of the Octobuddies like this. I trust you're doing fine and staying positive whilst surviving the 2ww! :D Stop with the work and hit those dvds...when I return... I want a full update on your viewings!

Lola - You're such a scream!  I completely understand about the stats... I did the same as I was right at the end of the month of October! Hang in there...only one more night to get through. You're so brave...I wish you the best of news....babydust to you!

Anna - Vive morning sickness! :D ... wish we could all experience what you are going through...take care of yourself and the little ones!

Jen - How's your needlework? Grow follies, gro!

Steph - thinking about you lots and wondering what you are up to? How many chick flicks and books have been crossed off that list? You take care of yourself. Send me a line if you feel lonely because I am half way across the world feeling the same thing

Stephanie - hang in there.... I have just realised (gosh, I am daft) you have the same test date as Camilla. Talk about buddy buddies! Sending you lots of PMA. :D :D

Lots of love to you all,

Little R

Hi all

Just a quickie to say thank you for your constant, unrelenting loveliness, whatever happens tomorrow, I feel like I've gained something SO positive from finding this site and the October buddies.
Steph - you are right and I aint just concussed from being beaten upside the head by the immense baton of positivity you wield. I have cojones of dough at times! So tomorrow then - feeling pretty chilled about it, even if its not the result I want there will be other chances, yes? :D
Hope you're all doing ok tonight.
Lots of love, Lola

Hi My Crazy Chic- a -dees!

Lola- Posted a quickie earlier (am a fan of quickies  ) on your good luck thread, but will say again. CONGRATS!!!! Am so "get down and boogie" happy for you!

Little R- I think you did the exact perfect thing! You followed your gut and what your head was telling you could handle at this time. Well done. Luck, Luck, Crazy Luck!

News on me- After being told for 2 months that I could not exercise, I ventured back to the asthanga yoga studio last night after getting approval from my doc. Felt heavenly! So good to sweat again. My arms were a puddling mess afterwards, but a kind of pain that feels so very good. It will be good to take this time to recoup myself and hopefully prepare my body for the 2 snowbabies awaiting it! They are monitoring my HCG levels, when it hits zero I go again. Am able to look toward the future. It must be all those exercise endorphins returning  A very good drug! Or it might be the incense burning at the studio- he, he. Either way, so good to be back.

My girls on the 2WW- how's it? Thinkin and hopin and wishin and prayin.....

Dear girls

Checking in for my daily fix!

Steph - lovely to hear you doing so well. You've obviously moved onto the next stage, life's about stages, and you're getting ready for your next try, both mentally and physically. Yoga away.

Leigh - good to hear you're doing well. I don't work, well actually I'm a domestic engineer!, keeping my house and family run smoothly is my speciality.

Jen - how are you and your follies doing. Let us have an update on your scans.

Lola - have you come down from cloud 9 yet?

Stephanie - how are you coping with the waiting?

Trying not to think of it but it's difficult not to arrgh!!

Love to everyone.

Hello gang

What no messages?! Where is everybody? Hope everyone is OK. I have been feeling increasingly tired over the last few days, did anyone feel like that or is it the delightful progesterone pessaries doing this? Well, I'd better take a well earned rest and have something to nibble on aswell.

Love to you all.

Hi everyone. It seems are group is slowly fading away.

Lola - I am jumping for joy for you. Come back and tell us more!!!!!

Steph and Little R - Glad to see you both are thinking more positive. It is great to see that. Us women have much more strenth than we give ourselves credit for and you both have shown that. Looking forward to hearing when you will try again, but take you time.

Anna (Amck) - Have you started stimming?

Jen - Did you have EC yet?

Leigh - Glad to hear your levels are rising, that is GREAT!!!!

Camilla - We are 1/2 way there. Only 1 more week. How are you holding out? I have my ups and downs. Sometimes I think it worked and at others I feel like like I have normal PMS and AF will be arriving soon. I know, I know, no analyzing symptoms. It's hard not to though.

I have been off from work since EC basically, working from home only a couple hours a day, but go back to the office on Monday :( . I was liking it staying home and relaxing. But upside is next week is a short week and we have off Thurs and Fri for Thanksgiving. In-laws are coming into town so I will stay busy. Trying to keep up the PMA, but at times it is difficult. But I will end with a positive.

LOAD of PMA to everyone. Keep it up!!!!!!!!!!

Lots of love,
Stephanie

Hola Octobies

First off thank you all for your messages! You are all fantastic!
How's everyone doing?
Camilla I got the worst side effects of whole tmt with progesterone - it is EVIL  How's the 2ww going? Can you believe its only a week until you test???? So exciting. Hope you're getting a chance to rest??? Put the hoover down, step away from the duster.....
How're you Stephanie on the 2ww Love Boat? Hope you're not going too mental...
Little R - hmmm, is it rude to enquire how your night of love went? Probably so i won't. Hope you're ok
Jen Jen Jen how do follies grow? Whats the news? When will you have EC???
Steph Yoga Master - you sound really healthy, in body mind and spirit chile! We have a canned drink over here called Yoga Bunny ("liquid psychiatry") and it makes me think of you.
Leigh when is your 1st scan? Are you still symptom free? From your posts it seems that your clinic is still monitoring your HCG levels, mine aren't, it was just a one off - is that ok d'ya think? After I got the positive they just said book a scan and that was it. Hmmmmm.

Well I don't think my :D has really sunk in yet. I keep forgetting. Is wierd and a bit surreal. I guess I'm also worried about next 2 weeks. Want to skip ahead to week 12. If only Buffy were here to manipulate time, give me fashion tips for the petite lady and show me a few sweet slayer moves - sigh.
Anyhoo, am sending a whole quivers worth of positivity arrows to you all.

Lots of love, Lola
