Hi all,
Esther,
you and i are due within days of each other.. :D Yesterday I went a little silly and told everyone at the painting class I wasin my 8thmonth- they said Icouldnt be cause i said I was due end feb, but I gave them some crazy explanation and insisted on having finished 7 months!!
Only after I came home I realised I had completed my 6th month and just entered my 7th as per my Af dates!!
How silly is that :?: :?:  I will tell them they were right and I was just being hormonal yday..
Its good to hear the kicks dont hurt..

Cheryl,
I hope you have a lovely visit with your nan and I was happy to hear you'd been reassured regarding lil one!We all do live from day to day right?

Olivia,
Please dont think abt going on- at this rate, I wont be able to post abt my feelings at all- considering you post so rarely- Love to hear from you and I love the fact that you are a 'natural' :!: God has his miracles!
So you're going to have a restful christmas huh?Excellent!
KC,
Welcome to the Second tri, and GREAT news abt the NT going well! The boys sound good too- Lovely to have twins!!

Brandy,
I think you'll start posting here too- so welcome on here!

Joy,
Hows your RL pain?(what is RL??) Hope dh's ankle is back to normal!
And I was worried during my 16th weekr something that I wasnt pregnant as my bump wasnt growing at all- then it suddenly grew when i got to 18-19 weeks!

Another week or so and then 3rd tri!! I think I will be very relieved to be there- no matter what happens,at least if GOD means this to be, then they can save my baby.. you can see that I'm still not positive abt the baby yet

Kim, how're you doing? whats it like in the 3rd tri? do you get tired lots?

Susie,
havent heard from you- hope you're fine and dd is too.

love,

Lovely to hear everyone's news - it's getting busier now.

KC - congrats on your nuchal scan - fantastic news that all is well and babies are nice and bonnie.

Esther - I think you're right about baby facing my back - I've felt the odd twinge really deep and other than that nothing so that would make sense. Thanks for your reassurance. What are you doing re nursery? Are you goiing to get it ready but neutrally or are you goiing to wait until after birth to see what you have? Do you think you might find out sex later on or are you keen for a surprise? I too have some names picked out but I'm pulling towards girls names rather than boys - wonder if thats a sign? DH dreamed we'd had a girl the other night so it will be fun to see if these are sort of predictions or just guesses.
Nan is fine thankyou - still hasn't got a clue who I am but at least she's not in pain. She thinks that my mum is 12 and that her own parents are still alive - she's regressed back to an earlier time - maybe she's goiing to finish her days in her favourite era? Sad but kind of nice in a way because she's not aware of how ill she is.

Smita - I know how you feel re not feeling positive but remember that you're passed the major danger point now and even if something happened early there's a great chance that all would be fine. What makes you so nervous? Is it the previous worries about fluid etc? I do feel for you, some of us are just prone to serious worrying and I think you and me (and lots of the other girls) come into that category. I'm sure everything's goiing to be great and you deserve to have a really smooth and worryfree labour after all this pregnancy worry! Try and feel positive - you already are in the 3rd tri according to my books so congratulations.

Olivia - hope you're still feeling good and getting lots of rest

Hi to everyone else - any news?

Jacs and Lil P - looking forward to seeing you bback here after your lovely hols

Hi Ladies

Things still fine with me although I am now even more neurotic, analyzing every twinge. Hope everyone else is ok. The 2nd tri group is getting smaller and smaller. I can't wait to move to the 3rd tri as that will feel like the home stretch, although it is a long way off for me yet. Is it week 26 or week 28, the books I have are confusing?

Cheryl - Mums is in solihull and was where my midwife told me to go for a private scan. Probably similar to the one in leamington, although I think you can have the baby at Mums aswell.
I have been very silly about booking antenatel classes and just not done it. Now I can't get a place at Walsgrave. DH works at the Glenfield hospital in leicester so he is trying to sort something out there.

Smita - I'm glad you to are suffering from pregnancy brain. Yesterday I forgot my bank acount pin number then signed a till reciept with the wrong name. To top it off I bought a maternity top and left it in the shop!!

Hi everyone!
Olivia,
Hope you went back for the top!!How're you doing otherwise?names yet??

I had an internal check up today and they found that my cervix was opening up a little, so its back to bed-rest for me until next week when I have a re-exam and they will decide if I need to get stitches put there I think..
So am a little jittery- they told me to go to them immediately if I felt any major pain- I'm trying not to analyse the twinges now!!

Not very worried, as one of my cousins had to have it done 2 years back, but you know how it is.. we do worry, even if we're told not to worry, or even if logic dictates so.. :)

Gavin,
Congratulations to you and Gen- I'll meet you there in a couple of days!!
have a lovely holiday and hope you celebrate DS's birthday in a lovel manner(yes I remember that too! )

Cheryl,
Thank you for your words, i feel like saying"see, I KNEW things were all not hunky-dory " especially after todays check-up.. but well..
I'm glad that theres some positivity in your nan's illness- in terms of her having gone to an age where she was happy..
Hope you can get those antenatal classes fixed up..

How are you Esther?

Little P- waiting until monday when you hit the boards-
when is Jacs due back??

LOVELY WEEKEND EVERYONE.

Gosh Smita I'm really sorry - what a stress to have. It's weird how by instinct you knew something wasn't quite right - at least you can feel relieved that all your natural womanly powers are functioning well rather than being all over the place like mine! At least knowing what you know now, you can ensure a really good rest. That is often very successful in maintaining healthy pregnancy - I know a few people for whom a similar thing has happened and they have just rested majorly and been fine (though a tad bored!) I really hope that everything goes well for you and will be thinking of you. Can you get a computer near your bed? Hope so!

Olivia - you could also try ringing Rugby (St Cross) as its not that far from you - they still had spaces when I rang a couple of weeks ago it's just that they only do Tues nights which is no good for me. Hope you managed to get your top back as Smita said but you did make me chuckle with your post

Hi KC, Esther and everyone else - hope you all have a lovely weekend. Don't know when Jacs is due back but hope it's soon and hope Lil P had a great time.

Hi everyone,
Yes DH's ankle is back to normal. Though the cold weather is making it hurt.
RL pain is the round ligament pain. From the uterus stretching. It gets pretty bad at times.
I did not sleep well last night at all. I had to pee too much and I couldn't get comfortable for the life of me.
But I am not complaining.
Take care everyone.
Love
Joy

Hi everyone

Cheryl - My little one has days of been quieter than others. I do remember feeling the same as you a few weeks ago, worrying that Id not felt anything for a while and I think it is as everyone says that they can still 'hide' at this stage and kick inwards so you dont always feel them. Last weekend mine appeared to be less active, but I appeared to have a growth spurt at the time, so I wondered if there was less room! Having said that, she has been quite active the last few days again! My midwife friend said any worries its no problem to come to the hospital and be monitored, just as you did. Im glad things are ok for you. I dont think the worrying about our babies will ever stop!

Olivia - You did make me laugh with your 'pregnancy brain'. I frequently start conversations with people and then forget what im talking about half way through. I also sat in yesterday am waiting for my friend to turn up for an Aromatherapy facial. When she was 'late' (which she never is) I then checked my diary and realised it was in the evening. Ive never done things like this before, so its good to know we are all as bad!

Joy - I sympathise with the RL pain. I didnt suffer too much from it (I think it was Sher (?) who had more problems, from what I remember). Its lower back pain that gets me! Know what you mean about getting up constantly to use the loo though and not sleeping well!

Smita - Poor you! This baby of yours is really putting you through it. I hope all goes ok and your bed rest isnt too boring. Nearly 3rd trimester now, so hope this goes smoother for you! Look after yourself.

Ive found ive been feeling really grumpy just lately! I think im just anxious to have everything done and getting frustrated now! Most of the work in the house is up to date now. We are having our new bathroom put in this week, so will hopefully feel better then.

Hi to Esther and KC and anyone else ive forgotten!

Little P and Jacs - look forward to hearing about your holls when you are back.

Take care everyone

Hi Kim - lovely to hear your news - it must be great getting everything done in the house, really satisying. Doesn't it feel amazing to be pregnant at Christmas? I've spent the last 5 years saying to myself 'this is the last Christmas when I won't be pregnant or have a baby' just to get myself through it and each year I was wrong and each year it got harder. Last year was the lowest ever - I couldn't enter a children's shop without bursting into tears - it was impossible trying to buy for friends and family. This year I feel incredibly blessed and Christmas feels more magic than ever - I wake up every morning with a big grin on my face and say good morning to my little one - if someone could bottle this feeling they'd be very rich indeed!!

Hope 3rd tri is lovely for you - don't worry about occasional grumpiness - I'm sure it's quite natural - must be hard goiing into the 'big' stage cos I would imagine it's pretty exhausting. I've just hoovered downstairs and am having a hot flush and dizzy spells now! Perhaps I need some more rest - I'll have to get DH to do the housework from now on! Can't imagine what I'll be like in 3rd tri - DH says I'm a hypochondriac now!!

Have a lovely weekend, Cherylxx

Hie mums-to -be

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend.

Smita- Please take care of yourself and the baby, by rest rest rest. Will we ever rest - I wonder. When we are starting to settle and enjoy our pregnancies, there comes worry after worry. Lets just be positive, within 3 months We will be proud mums. Because of my bleeding scare Iam also on bed rest, boring but for a worthy cause, Iam not complaining.

Cheryl- How are you. No iam not finding out the sex iam waiting for a delivery time surprise. As for the nursery my Dh has decided to do it as soon as we have our baby. Its too much of neutral, right now iam buying neutral colours, So I have decided to wait. How about you.

K- how are you.

I have started feeling my back aching each time i start typing, so my mails are going to be short. Hie to everyone.

Hi Esther, sorry your back's aching - hope you can find some comfortable positions. I've had some acupuncture for mine which really helped - seemed to release a lot of tension - might be worth a try?

I was adamant I wanted to know the sex of the baby until it was too hard to see at 20 weeks. Now it's made me think that it would be lovely to wait for a surprise. We could find out at our next scan but I think I'm goiing to ask them not to show us. Everyone (friends and family) keep quizing us and I know that if I know I will not be able to keep a secret so its perhaps better not to know at all. I love the idea of DH ringing everyone on day and telling them. We will probably do the neutral thing too and then add a few touches after the birth. Gosh, it's all so exciting - can't wait!

Hope your back feels better soon,

Love to everyone,

Cherylxx

Hi everyone!
Hope you all had a great weekend..

Esther,
you on bedrest as well?I didnt realise that- i thought you were going back to work..Its boring isnt it? I know its a worthy cause, but I think I'm born to complain!!My main complaint though is not being with dh..But oh well, 6 months gone, 3 more to go and then yippee!!
Cheryl,
Nice you are going in for a surprise.. I would ahve loved to know whether I'm having a boy or a girl,if only to help with names..Anyway, have a gut feeling its a girl.
Kim,
Poor you feeling grumpy-I guess its normal to get frustrated!New bathroom sounds exciting..
How are those antenatal classes? Are they useful? i guess we'll only know at the time of delivery huh?Wish I could go to one..
Joy,

Olivia,
How're you doing? Hows your lil one?I'm going to switch threads in my 28th week- though we all keep popping in and out of threads anyway!

Hi Smita - good to hear you sounding positive and chirpy even though a little bored. What is weather like for you? It's very cold and frosty here at moment which is lovely when you don't have to go to work - I'm looking out now at lovely white trees and bushes and misty fog and all the spider's webs in garden look beautiful. Jacs and Lil P are gonna have such a shock when they get back - they went away when weather was almost summery and suddenly we're plunged into proper winter.

What makes you think you're having a girl? Is it just intuition or have you had any other signs? I can't wait to know but I'm goiing to force myself to be patient because I would hate to get it wrong! I met somone yesterday who was told by sonographer that she was definitely having a boy and then it turned out to be a girl - it's hand had been mistaken for other parts in the scan! That would be really difficult to be expecting one sex and then get the other - she had to re-do her room and everything.

Anyway, I'm goiing to walk my dog whilst it's looking so beautiful outside - have a lovely day,

Cherylxx

Hello ladies

Just thought I would say hi to everyone on 2nd Trimester.
I haven't posted on here yet as there has been nothing really happening since the NF scan a couple of weeks ago.
I am looking forward to my next scan on 15/12.
I saw the midwife at the Drs surgery last week which I felt was rather a waste of time for both of us. She told me nothing new. Only that I should be seeing the consultant at the hospital this week (15 wks) but as yet I have only received the appt for the scan in December. Maybe I should phone the hospital and check.

We have already decided that we dont want to know whether we are having boys or girls or one of each. We want the surprize!

Take care and take it easy!
Best wishes
Ange

Hi Ange - nice to hear from you - glad you are doiing well. Why do you need to see consultant? Is that just routine for twins? I would kick up fuss if I were you - you shouldn't have to wait so long. I know what you mean about midwife appointments - they are so quick - barely 5 mins but they do get a bit more exciting the further along you get because they start to measure the height of baby and give you more info. Hope you have some more news soon.
