You take really good care of yourself and your special one. I have everything crossed and pray that this one continues to a healthy and happy day for you early next year.

We may have double the work but we get double smiles, double kisses and double cuddles.
I am in Brisbane Australia and have been a long time lurker, but i have a huge fear of posting on message boards because i misscarried last year when i was very active on one. i dont want to jinx myself but felt this was a good thread to join.
My pregnancy has been good so far, i didnt have any morning sickness at all which was worrying but the babies have always been meassuring good and seem very healthy. I am messuring 9 weeks ahead, what about you guys?
I'm not actually pregnant (I have a twelve month old Annie who is the result of a FET cycle), but wanted to say hello and congratulations to a fellow Brissy girl. I went through QFG on Wickham Terrace, where did you go? There is an aussie / kiwi thread on the general forum page and a few of the girls on there are currently pregnant (with singeltons), so come on over for a look if you'd like!
Take good care and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy
Belinda
thanks for the invite to the other thread. I went thru QFG as well Dr W. Ambrosis, i think its the most amazing clinic.
I had a failed ivf and a fet that ended in miscarriage christmas 2004, that was in France where my husband was working, i took a year long break after that as it was so hard to deal with. But my first ivf worked with QFG and I owe it all to the genius of Dr Ambrosis and the skills of the scientists.
Hey Jaymee,
Warren is a bit of a legend really isn't he?..I had Marianne Ilbury, and she was great too, but Warren is fairly renowned. I had heard he was about to go on a twelve month sabatical, you must have had your treatment with him prior to that starting..I love QFG, they have the second best stats in Australia (after Sydney IVF) and heaps of support. I am on the Friends committee and try to get to some of their social events as well, all in all a great experience. I am actually going back for an appointment on Friday to talk about trying for a sibling for young Annie..scarey to be going on the rollercoaster again!!!!..
Who is doing your obstetrics?
B
Yeah i have been seeing Dr De Ambrosis since june this year, he WAS going to start his 8-12 month break early December, but he has since changed his mind and is not going to take leave anymore, he is just taking most of Decmeber and Jan off.
When i spoke to him about looking forward to escaping nerotic infertile women i thought he would say he couldnt wait for a break, but he was very sad and said he really loved his job and all the women in his care and you could see he really didnt want to take a break, his wife had been the one who really wanted it. Dr Ambrosis is in his rooms everyday from 5am and is there til late so his wife must be an angel.
Warren truely excells at donor ivf and older women ivf, lots of his paitents are ones others wont touch. I am only 26 though and didnt need donor anything, but i wanted him as my Dr as i knew how good he was.
I hope you have another success with no2 as soon as you are ready.
I dont have an OB, just going to see the clinic doctor at the hospital every 4 weeks. I have been wondering if i should have another OB, is it normal to have one out side of the hospital? Do you know anyone good? I am at Redcliffe but i dont mind going to the city.
That's great news that you got to see Warren, lots of women love him, and yep, his wife must be an angel!!..she also coordinates the donor egg service that QFG offers, so she is pretty involved herself as well.
Re. having an obs, if you're going through the public system then no, you don't usually have an obstetrician outside, that is my understanding. I went privately and had an obstetrician who I saw in rooms and I then had bubby at St Andrews. There are some great obstetricians in Brissy, I have heard great things about Doug Keeping, Bob Watson and Shane (can never think of his surname, he is in the QFG group though)..but you might not get in to see one now, most of them only take on a limited number of women who are due each month, so they tend to book up quickly. Are you happy with the public system?
Yeah i am happy with the public system, i only worry that things like a shortening cervix or PTL without noticable cramps might not be diagnosed. They seem to deal with problems if they occur and dont try and prevent them. I really am worrying about PTL and IC but i dont know how worried i should be. I have a 5 year old daughter and i carried her to 42 weeks and she was huge, but i have read there is no way to know if you have a IC or not until its to late. Then your next pregnacy they put a stitch in. I have also read it is rare. When i asked the public Ob about PTL he just said "you have bee in labour before you will know what it feels like" . But i have read many women dont feel anything and the cervix opens.
42 weeks..YIKES!!!!!!! ..Sounds like you have nothing to worry about from an IC point of view!!
Know what you mean about fears through pregnancy, I miscarried our first baby and it relaly affected my experience of my next (successful) pregnancy. I don't think that I truly relaxed until about week 36!!..Hopefully it happend for you MUCH earlier than this!!
