Hi all!
Cheryl
Well, no basic gut instinct to be honest.. a claircoyent told my mom ages before that I'd be having a girl, so I guess thats working on my mind, plus I seem to be loving sweets(normally have a sweet tooth), so going by the old wives tales...
Its rather gloomy weather here..Cloudy and rainy.. Banglore gets no snow(more of a mediterranean climate)

Ange,
Welcome on here!
Hope your 20w scan is lovely.. you'll be surprised at the amount of growth you'll be able to see :D

Hope everyone is doing great!!

Good morning everyone

I have my follow up scan tomorrow and I am freaking out!! I really hope my cervix has remained the same, I have had no more problems and I have been quite good with the resting. Also it is a full anomoly scan tomorrow and I am praying that they tell me all is fine with my little man.

Esther and Smita - hope you are both being good with the resting and are not too bored. Smita I am keeping my fingers crossed that your cervix is behaving itself as well.

Cheryl - Thanks for the advice about st cross, I will enquire this week. DH works shifts and it's really difficult to to find classes that fit in with his rota.

Ange - welcome to the second tri. This is supposed to be the fun bit.

Hi to everyone else. When is little P back??

The midwife told me that with twins, it is standard procedure at our local hospital to be under the care of the consultant. There is a midwife at the hospital who had twins herself so, she specialises in the twin births.
And I am advised, for the safety of the twins I have to go to the hospital for the birth. I dont have a problem with any of this as I would want to be in hospital anyway just in case there was a problem. I have waited too long to put them at any kind of risk!!

I have spoken to the hospital today to check about this appointment.
I will be seeing the consultant at sometime AFTER the scan on 15th Dec and should get an appointment in the post in the next couple of weeks!

Hope everyone is well
Best wishes
Ange

HURRAH FOR LIL P'S B'DAY Sorry, I'm not as creative as Smita with the little creature things  though my DH uses them all time so I'll get him to teach me. Hope you had a lovely hol P and it's great to have you back.

Olivia - good to hear you're feeling well and fantastic news on having 20 week scan this week - is it today? It's just brilliant, you get to see everything - you'll love it! Let us know how it goes.

Esther - bless you. I agree with Smita - get the GP out just to be on safe side (no danger to baby with back pain but because we are all weaker in pregnancy maybe you need to get checked that you are holding yourself in right position etc to minimise any further pain). Hope you feel a little better soon.

Smita - I'm so glad check up is only 2 days away - that seems to have gone quite quickly or has it felt like a long time for you? Weather sounds lovely - I'm absolutely frozen here - I've got the heating on at 25 degrees - DH keeps telling me off cos it's gonna cost us a fortune!!

Ange - great news to hear you've finally got some answers re. appointment - must be a relief - let us know how everything goes.

Hi Jacs for when you're back!

Hi to Kim, Gen and other 3rd tri girlies - how is it over there?

Joy - how are you?

Hi to everyone else - what have you all been up to?

Thanks for the birthday wishes - I did have a lovely time and feel great.

I can't get over the change in the weather - it is soooo cold!! Mind you it does make me feel all Christmasy.

I've just been to see the GP and everything was fine - Little One's heartbeat was beating like a drum and my measurements were spot on which is always reassuring to know.

I do hope that you are all ok and taking care - there are quite a few of us here now.

I've just been told that the Third Trimester begins at 26 weeks - is that right!!?? I can't believe it!!!

Big hugs to you all.

Hi all
a quick update to my hospital appointment saga. . .

I have arrived home from work today with a sore throat, headache and sniffly nose as everyone in my office is suffering with some type of cold flu or other such and they feel duty bound to spread it to as many people as possible!! But that is another story!

A letter was waiting for me when I got in tonight at 6pm. I had an appointment with the Consultant - today at 2.20 this afternoon. The letter is dated the 19th and was sent 2nd class dated 21st.

Needless to say I missed my appointment!

Best wishes to you all and Happy Birthday LittleP

Hi everyone

Little P - Good to have you back and Happy Birthday! Welcome back to the cold weather!! Good to hear all is going well with your little one. Its reassuring to hear the heartbeat and know that your measurements are spot on! I had to laugh the other day. I actually measured slightly bigger at my antenatal clinic last week, 32 cm when I was 31 weeks. However, when I mentioned to someone that my baby was due in January, they were surprised, because I didnt look big enough!!

Esther - I do get backache if I end up lying partly on my back, or when standing in one postion for a while (washing up is getting very difficult now, so have to stop doing it I think!) but yours does sound more severe. Most of the time I dont have any backache. I would probably get checked out if I were you. (How you are lying in bed might also be affecting it as well??) Another thought - my midwife friend who I trained alongside in Aromatherapy, treats pregnant women with back problems, who have been refered to her by their GPs. (on the NHS). It might be worth checking this out in your area. Theres nothing better than a massage I find when my back or shoulders are aching. Hope you feel better soon.

Olivia - Hope everything went ok today and your little one is ok.

Ange - Welcome to the 2nd trimester. I can empathize with you re the cold symptoms. Ive had a sore throat, cough etc. Doesnt seem that long ago since I last suffered! Its very frustrating isnt it?
Cant believe what happened with your appointment! How dozy are they?!!

Cheryl - Hi. Baby has now started sticking body parts (feet I think?) under my ribs. Very weird! Enjoy your baby's movements while they dont hurt!!

Smita - Good luck on friday! Look forward to hearing your update. Hope you are resting well!

Hi to everyone else who I havent mentioned!

Hi Ladies,

Just checking in to say hello and to wish everyone well!

I just wanted to update and say Jamato is doing ok. She's taking things day by day. I'll be seeing her next week.

I just had my 39 week update today and I'm 1cm dilated which is pretty normal for this stage. Does not mean labor is on the way. I'll be checked again next week and will have the plan of action discussion then as I'll be close to 40 weeks. It's gone by very quickly and we're getting pretty excited. The labor part makes me nervous, but I think it's pretty normal for a first time mom. If I don't go into labor by Dec 9th, I will be induced.

Well ladies, best wishes to all of you and can't wait to hear your special news in the following months. Take Care!

How exciting Christine - a little festive bundle! You'll have to get one of those 'my first Christmas' baby gros - they're adorable. Good luck for the next few weeks and pass on my best wishes to Jessica.

Kim - movements sounds great - don't mind if I get bruised black and blue, just want lots. I still feel the odd move here and there but I find it easy to forget I'm pregnant at moment which is really annoying!

Lil P - glad to hear you're having great time (birthday, baby etc) - I believed 3rd tri started at 26 weeks too cos I thought last tri was 14 weeks long. I guess it can start when you want it to and that means you're only days away - Hurrah! Hurrah!

Olivia - how was scan? Let us know your news please I'm excited for you!

Esther - hope you're not in too much pain and are getting lots of comfortable rest.

Smita - you too - I'm thinking about you for tomorrow - let's hope today goes as quick as possible so you can have the reassurance you need.

Ange - can't believe your dappy clinic - what are they like! Hpoe you have some luck getting in there soon.

Hi to Jacs

Vicky - how are you?

Cheryl

OMG - the final stage is coming then - eek!!! I think I will probably hover here for a while before moving across.

Glad you're feeling some twinges - they are great and so reassuring. Wait till you feel the hiccups, they're fun!! DH can now feel it when he places his hand on my bump which is fantastic.

Smita

Fingers crossed for you tomorrow - take care and remember we're all here for you.

Christine

Pass my love on to Jessica as well please. I hope that you are alright and things are ok. I can't believe it's 39 weeks already!!

Kim

Hope you're doing alright, I guess the bigger things get the more uncomfortable it becomes - get plenty of rest won't you.

Ange

It's good to have you here, and I'm so pleased the twins are doing well. Take care and enjoy this stage.

Everyone else - big hugs to you all.
