Hi all, wonder if anyone has gone through stimming and had a no show from the follies?
I have been stimming for 8 days. Had my scan today and no follies have grown. It's really disappointing and found it hard to believe at first.
Have been advised to up the drugs over the next few days. Anyone been through similar?

Dont despare yet, up those drugs and those follies may grow. Hang on in there. x x
TTC 6yrs......Have jumped off the rollercoaster for now, too many BFN's and too much heartache, to keep going....Moving on to fulfil other dreams!!!

On my last cycle of ICSI I went through a similar experience. My follies started growing too fast so my drug dose was lowered. When I went for a re-scan, my follies had slowed down growth but, then only 1 grew and the rest were too small.
My clinic advised me to down reg again and start from scratch, which I did,but the foolie which had grown big wouldnt shrink (it got bigger some how??) In the end the clinic abandoned my treatment. I was so fed up! I know how you must feel, but try and think positive

We all respond differently I suppose, and I guess sometimes they just have to adjust dosages to get some of us going!

Low FSH
Hi Anna,
I don't feel alone now as I was told today after my Day 8 blood test that I have low FSH levels. I don't know what the levels are but I have to double my drug dose until I get my scan on Friday. This is our first cycle so I don't really know what will happen either. I'm trying to stay positive and hope that the follicles will grow but this whole thing is so hard. When do you get another scan/blood test? I have heard that things can change quite quickly, so hopefully when you get next scan lots of follies will have grown. Please let us know how you get on and I will post an update on Friday once I have picked their brains at the clinic.

It just depends on how our bodies respond to the follies like evryone says..
I had to stim for 14 days alltogether and got 7 follies of which 5 were mature.
You take care- keeping everything crossed that the follies grow after upping the dose..

i'm sorry it's not working out as you had hoped, i know how upset you are as it happened to me last week. hopefully by increasing your dosage your follies will start to grow. i'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.
i had the same problem but they didn't up my meds and i ended up with only one folly and had to cancel the cycle. i'm hoping to start a short cycle which is for bad responders once AF arrives. in the short cycle you don't downreg, you go straight to stimming. but hopefully you'll be able to continue this cycle and it won't come to that.
i hope it all works out for you and try not to despair. one way or another you'll get there.

After 12 days stimming no follies....not 1. I was told i may be early menopausal. I and my Gp disgreeed with the docs. I had had no symptons and 20 months before had had a natural pregnancy! My Af was 28 days reg and i was therefore ovulating!!!! DF and i wnt htrough a nervwracking time looking at adoption and donor eggs. I thought at 37 it was all over.
BUT...3 months after the last cycle and after 2normal Af's I was put on a cetrotide cycle. Also aclled a short or flare cycle. That means no down reg but stimm on day 3 of AF then on day 9 have prostap.
I had 13 days stimming this time and had 4 follies ( 2 good size) which got me 2 near prefect eggs. Both fertilised and now awaiting outcome. hang in there Anna ask the clinic about Certotide cycle. It's much shorter and cheaper!!!! If you want any more info PM me!!!Good luck.

I upped the stimming drugs and have a scan booked for tomorrow morning. Hopefully we will get better news this time fingers crossed.

Anna, I had my Day 10 scan yesterday and I have two 8mm follies on each ovary, but my blood level is still really, really low. They were expecting it to be a lot higher by now so I have got to stay on my doubled up dose until another scan on Monday morning. We are hoping to see the follies getting bigger, but she told me I have a 50/50 chance. It could still go either way.
I have been reading through some messages again and I'm trying to stay positive, although it's really hard, and some people do get there through upping their meds. I hope this works for us both as well. Please post a reply and let me know how you got on yesterday.

I found i responded differently to the drugs every time!
The first IUI, i had 4 follies, the second, just the 1. The third was abandoned because i didn't have any, and the fourth i overstimmed and had 14, and had to have at least ten of them asperaited. The fifth,i had three and that developed into a triplet pregnancy. I think it's so hit and miss, getting the stimulation dosage just right...

Got pregnant with IUI triplets in March 04. One triplet stopped growing at 9 weeks. Gave birth to twin boys in Sep 04, Ciaran sadly lost his fight. Brennan's thriving.Looking to give Brennan a sibling soon.

When I asked the nurse for advice , asking if there was anything I could or should do she said to prepare myself to abandon the cycle....nothing like being positive eh?
I really don't know what to think, we have spent the last 8 months getting to this stage and it seems so cruel for things to be conspiring against us again!
Ah well, must keep PMA.
