Anna

sorry to hear that you had no follies. Although we thought that would be the case it's still heartbreaking. It's good that you have an appointment to talk things over in dec. by then you will have had AF and be in a good position to go for the cetrotide cycle. I think ( but don't quote me ) that Sand is starting a cetrotide short cycle in Jan too.
things will be 2 weeks shorter better next time and no down regging...also your wee ovaries will have had a 2 month break...mmn sounding more positive....don't leave us yet and go to jan buddies...do both months...take care Anna thinking of you...

penny well done for doing your own inj...it never bothered me but my friend who was up in the summer during my 1st IVF nearly fainted when she saw the inj. You did well girl.

Luby thanks for the 2ww wishes...I AM TESTING on SATURDAY...still feeling sick but it clears up after 7pm????Anyway i am hoping to get shopping tomorrow for pressies. Today i felt too sick to do JACK!!!

loving hugs all nov-embies

Hi to all

Work was ok after the initial awkwardness due to nobody knowing the whole truth. In fact I haven’t felt as positive as when I left for home at the end of the day! Image
I don’t feel very positive about the outcome of this tmt, about the test Friday – I don’t feel different….. But nevertheless I feel positive and well with my life.
It probably won’t work this time, but it just has to next time round (negative denial?). :?
Anyway, hooray for work, for making me feel a whole person again! Image

OHSS

Post by all4baby »

Hi Everyone,
I am new to the site and need some support. I am in my 2ww and will be testing on Dec 8th and have a moderate case of OHSS. Has anyone had OHSS? If you have, what were you symptoms and how long did they take to resolve. I am very uncomfortable and my abdomen is very bloated. The doctor instructed me to keep drinking plenty of water but my abdomen is so bloated I can't drink anymore. Wow, what a rollercoaster ride this has been. I want so badly to be pregnant and feel better. Hopefully, I will get that result on the 8th. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Hi Smita - hows it going for you? all progressing well I hope :D
Anna - so sad to hear about your scan - best of luck for next year, we'll be rooting for you.
MLG - we were both back at work the same day _ I know what you mean about being a bit awkward - 2 people know at work but the rest don't. The most fab thing is the day passed really quickly and i got and was whacked so slept from 8pm
All4baby - i too am in your boat - very swollen abdomen and back pain and can only take paracetamol, its disturbing my sleep too. but still eating and drinking. Called hospital this morning and they say at the moment I've mild ohss but have got to watch it closely as its likely to get worse  . If I get to Friday without being admitted then I'm on the home stretch - here's hoping. Driking loads of water and making very very regular trips to loo - there's no room in there  Keeping a positive attitude though
Jeni - sending piles of positive vibes to you for the weekend, ope you're cilling my dear.
NIcki - fab to see you on the boards and enjoy those pizza's and wine. Take care my dear :D :D

hi - i wanted to write in with a report and hopefully to get some feedback. i had my et on saturday and am scheduled for my pt on december 8. this would all seem ok, except the et didn't go so well - the embryo quality wasn't great. i know this reduces our chances significantly. i also know that there's still a chance, and that i should be rooting for these little guys, but given the odds under the best circumstances i'm pretty convinced this was all for nothing.

we had a 6 cell and a 5 cell on a day three transfer, with decent symmetry and fragmentation. i guess they like to see 8 cell. does anyone have any insight on this?

thanks a bunch, gel

Hi Gel

I think you should still be rooting for your littles ones, try stay positive, I'm sure everything will be fine, I know they say the better the embryo quality the better chance you have of a pregnancy, but I don't totally agree with that as I have just had a BFP and my embryos were only a 4 cell and a 5 cell. I also got a BFP on my last cycle and I had a 3 cell embryo and a 4 cell.

A lady I know has just got a BFP and she only had 1 embryo put back in and that was only a 2 cell, doctors told her this would probably be a negative, but she is now 24 weeks pregnant.

So please don't get to hung up on the quality of the embryos, I'm sure everything will be fine.I know its hard not to worry though..!

Take Care

Hi girls

Jen you are an Image Thank you for your message. Sounds like you had a good day.

Nicki, how are you sweetie? Haven't seen you post today. hope you are OK :)

Smita, are you Ok? Hope you are looking after yourself.

Gel PMA to you. Sending positive vibes to you. The truth is that nobody knows, every one is different, just hang in there!!!

MLG, are you back in the swing of work now? Soon you will forget that you ever had any time off! Baby dust to you :)

Penny and All4baby take care of yourselves, sorry to see you are in pain and uncomfortable. Keep drinking that water....and smiling !!

I'm Ok I suppose. Still thinking of tmt and what to do next. AF is a long way off if previous experience of prostap jabs is anything to go by. Does anyone know if I will be able to short cycle on the next AF or do you think they will make me wait for another. In which case we're talking Feb really :( So long away.

PMA to all
Bye for now
