Just began Gonal F and worried!

Hi, this is my first time to post on this forum. My dh and I are both 32 and I have endo, a fibroid tumor, cyst and low progestron level. I had a lap done in Aug and this is where we are now. This is my second IVF cycle. Last cycle was cancelled because of cyst and high estrogen levels. We are doing the antagonist protocol. I just began 225 units of Gonal F friday and I am already feeling bloated. Is this normal? I had my baseline US and bloodwork last week we have 26 follicles and all looked great so we are keeping our fingers crossed that this time all goes well and we will be able to get to ER. My re said we will have the ER the week of Dec 5. Are there any other Dec 5 IVF ladies out there. If any of you have already been through this step please give your advice.

I am not cycling yet, but i wanted to wish you the best of luck!
I guess it's pretty normal to be bloated. I was on 150 unit gonal F and the bloating appeared very quickly!

Hi Rach,

I just finished my cycle and was on Gonal-F. I was doing 225 2x a day and was bloated, so I think this is normal. I felt it within the first few doses. But after a few days I started mixing with Repronex and then only Repronex in the end. Not sure if you will be doing that or not.

Good luck with you treatment! 26 follies is great! I had 25 and 18 had eggs of which 17 fertilized for me. So you should do great!!!!!!

I was on 225 Gonal-F and YES it's normal (i think) to get bloated. Thats what my doctor said n as well for 5 cycles,for me its a routine and expected to see bloated belly once I started Gonal-F. It will then go down once egg collcetion are done. But dun worry babe, It's normal. There's so many unsuspected bloating going on once ur on IVF.
