As Cheryl says good luck with the move (how exciting) and here's to nesting. Hope you are taking care and not lifting too many boxes!!!
Cheryl
Glad to hear that things are going well and you're taking care - time seems to be passing by quite quickly now doesn't it?
Smita
Hope you are ok and taking care - guess you're remembering to get all that rest and look after yourself and the bundle!! You just remember we all here for you when you need some friends won't you.
Hope everyone else is doing ok and looking after themselves.
Phew! Its taken me ages to catch up! Ive just realised that its nearly a week since I last posted! Time is flying at the moment and I dont seem to have enough of it!
Vicky - Sorry to hear about the house. A few of my friends seem to be having problems with selling/buying houses as well at the moment. Im sure theres something better round the corner for you!
Olivia - Im so pleased everything is going ok. Its great you know you are definately having a boy now. I keep wondering what if they were wrong and im not having a girl now! Ive got all these pink clothes given by friends as well! Im having a scan at 34 weeks (Dont really know why. I think she was just been safe because she couldnt see all of the placenta at the last one. Midwife doesnt know why either!) will ask if they can have another look! The 3D scan sounds wonderful. Must make it so much more real. I still cant quite believe that I am bringing a new person into the world!
Jacs - Welcome back! Im glad you had a good time, despite the weather!
Good to know all is well. I know what you mean about not enjoying New Years Eve for the last few years. Its not been the same since my early twenties. Overrated as far as im concerned. Xmas is going to be so much more exciting for us all though now we are having little ones!
Cheryl - Could they not tell you at your scan what sex your baby was? (Im sorry if you have mentioned this already, I just cant remember). Maybe we should run a poll for what everyone thinks they are having and see if it turns out this way! Would be fun!
Little P - Ive just about done my xmas shopping as well! Never been so organised! Xmas eve in London sounds wonderful! What a treat!
Ive also had nose bleeds, although have had 2 colds recently which make them worse. Funny thing is, I went through a spell of having nose bleeds for a few months prior to the IVF, then when I started on the treatment they stopped! Thought they would come back with a vengence when I got pg, because of hormones etc, but they arent as bad as before. Funny how our bodies react isnt it? Not always as we expect!
P.S Love the ticker!
Smita - Im sorry you are feeling down. Its good that doctors say all appears ok, but with all you have been through with your pregnancy it must be affecting you. Your little one is putting you through it before he/she is even born! Make the most of your resting because I bet its a little rascal when its born! Sending hugs your way. Remember to look after yourself as well.
Hi to everyone else. Minnow and Christine - will catch up with you on the 3rd tri thread.
Love Kim

Hi Kim - great to hear from you. Unfortunately, no to your question, my little one kept his / her legs tightly clamped and tucked up at my scan so they couldn't tell me - she tried for about 15 mins to see but no luck! I will just have to be patient! You lucky thing being all organised for Christmas - I've still got a way to go but I have ordered lunch from M and S which makes life easier and I've made a start and its not even Dec yet which is great for me cos I'm normally pressie shopping on xmas eve!
Anyway good luck with your 34 week scan - gosh that sounds exciting, not long at all now,
love to everyone else,

I've just got back from having my 3D/4D scan done - it was a surprise part of my birthday present from DH.
Oh my goodness, I can't express how wonderful it was. Little One looked absolutely gorgeous and was moving around such a lot. It was fantastic, and I now have a huge amount of photographs and a DVD and a CD of the whole thing.
Hi, ladies! This is my first time hopping over to the 2nd trimester side of things...a bit nervous still, but couldn't wait. I just read a bunch of your posts, and just wanted to say that this looks like a great bunch of girls to chat with
I will be 14 weeks tomorrow. I just heard the heartbeat for the first time today...I thought that was incredible! After reading your post, little P, that made me even more excited! What a wonderful birthday present...just awesome. How is everyone doing?

Hi Brandy, great to see you over here, hearing the heartbeat is fantastic - glad you had such a lovely experience. Are you having 20 week scan?
Hurrah, Wahay, Yippee - Smita and Lil P you are both in the third tri now - how exciting - can't wait to join you. Gosh its amazing how quickly it is goiing now - is anyone else starting to feel quite big? I've really exploded in the last few weeks and there's no mistaking my big bump now - I look 8 months not 6!!
Lil P - what a lovely pressie hubby got you - it must have been great to see all the little features - did you recognise yourself or DH in him / her? Can't wait for mine - I'm having it in 2 more weeks and I'm really hpoing I might get to know sex although I keep changing my mind about whether I want to know!
How is Jacs and Olivia - haven't heard from you in a few days - hope you're both great.

I have to admit that my bump seems to be growing almost daily now - it is so exciting all the changes that are happening.
The kicks now are really frequent and DH and I can see Little One moving through my stomach when I lie down - it is quite surreal!! It's wonderful just putting your hands on your tummy and feeling Little One move beneath you.
You will definitely be able to find out the sex of the baby (if you want to that is!!) - we had to look away at the appropriate moments so that neither of us could catch a glimpse. My best friend found out what she was having and never regretted it - she said it made the planning all the more easy!!
Smita and Little P, you both have been a constant source of support for many of us from the time we started to try fertility methods to now of course pregnancy. It makes me so happy that you both have had success and are doing well
I am going to have an ultrasound this week and will then have a scan at 20 weeks. We would like to find out the sex of the baby. So, we can't wait!
If you don't mind me asking, approximately how much does a 3d/4d ultrasound cost?

hiya everyone
little p wot a lovely lovely pressie how exciting to see things better....my 20 week scan was clear(was 23 wks) but the pics i brought home were very much like the 16 wk ones...my hubby couldnt make the sacn so only saw the pics but i saw little uns face when he turned round and saw him kicking which was amazing
its very hard with hubbys to come to scans with work commitments if only men had the same rights as women to have time off to go to appointments.
i cant believe how quick the time goes as cheryl says were 6 months now only a few months to go and POW are lives will be changed the movements are nearly all day now and never stop nice feelings tho..i got hubbys hand and he could feel the movement so he feels a little better i think hes felt slightly left out...ill let him do all the nightly feeds to make him feel better when bubs arrives ha ha
im going to pop into town and make some start to the xmas madness not looking forward to it but a friends told me littlewoods is closing down so maybe ill find some bargains
id rather sit in the warm doing nothing but needs must
i had a rather strange experiance at the weekend...since iv had a cold a month ago and been coughing like a dog my ribs have felt like iv been punched especially when i lay down but sat night i was woke up early with like pains all round my chest as if my whole rib cage was in a vice and everything was pushed upwards towards my chest...i stayed in bed most of sun and went back to just the rib ache on monday ... has anyone else had this?? or maybe it was just me getting another cold...im off to see gp nxt week so will mention it to her
everything seems a worry ..every little ache and pain the last 2 nights iv had terrible cramps i just hope im not starting the toilet habit again like i had at the start of this preggas i couldnt cope with 3 months of the trotts again
iv got a busy weekend coming up out for a meal on sat night with 4 of hubbys work friends and there wives im not looking forward to that as its a place in town and hubby informs me were going for a drink round the town after.... not my idea of fun 6 months preggas drinking juice while the others get merry...so i mite come home after the meal....then sunday im out for another meal with the girls from work in a lovely restaurant on the outskirts of wrexham....i didnt realize it was same weekend so im going to be worn out come monday ohh well only once a year
right time i made a move and got myself in the xmas shopping mood

Have been to hospital this morning for an additional u/s scan. All is well - thank goodness!
I was having some stomach aches & pains yesterday and for a few days before that. I saw the midwife on Tuesday afternoon and she booked me in for a scan this morning. I was in a bit of state yesterday when I saw her and I had high blood pressure, which I think was a result of me getting myself in a complete tizzy! The midwife tried to hear their heatbeats using the fetal heart monitor but she could not hear both.
The scan this morning showed that both of the twins are doing well. They have grown quite a bit in 4 weeks! They were both moving constantly and seem to be generally quite active but I am not aware that I have felt any movements yet. The aches I have had seem to be more to do with everything stretching and them moving, not an indication that anything is wrong!
LittleP - what a fantastic present! Did you have it done in London somewhere?
Best wishes to all
Take Care
Ange

Glad the twins are doing well - I know what you mean about aches and pains causing all sorts of worries though. It does seem never-ending!!
Jacs
Hope the w/e doesn't leave you too exhausted.
Enjoy your Christmas shopping this afternoon - I'm so glad that I've got it finished as I can't seem to stay awake at the moment and keep climbing back into bed for yet another rest!!
Hope you get the aches and pains sorted out - not wanting to sound silly, but is there any chance it could be heartburn? I started getting it and it is very, very painful!!
