Hi girlies,

so many new threads, have decided to join you if that's Ok......got back from Kiev last night after a 10 day break with dh. Dh had micro TESE so no pain and was up and about same day, no john Wayne walk! ET was 25th with sooooo much tlc you wont believe it! I was told to go to sleep in a real bed in the clinic for two hours after ET, having rested there for an hour beforehand what luxury!!! I even got a piccy of ET (although you can only see the catheter...). We had 8 good embies from 10 mature eggs, which is so brilliant compared to our last go, and we even have 4 frosties :D :D YES I had 4 put back  hope one of them sticks 8) 8) ..

Totally different meds this time from Barcelona, put on less weight and don't have the sore boobs BUT I have a very sore bum as I have to do progesternone shots  as well as pessaries - well dh does them for me bless  I just keep thjinking of Joy's twins born end November (Joy went to Kiev) and that helps the PMA a great deal.

How wierd is that Eskavon - we are test buddies AGAIN    I do hope this is a double wammy for us both sweetie, psecial big hug to you and dh from our doggies to your doggies

will catch up on the thread later ladies, must pop in to my over 40s and say hi...

Love and hugs

Hi J,

Wow, sounds like 4* treatment! Well done on your embies ... with 4 of them bumping around in there, at least ONE of them's got to stick ... and when it does, what a snapshot to put in your baby album!

Best of luck

Hi all

J - very impressed with 4 embies being popped back in. FANTASIC CHANCES!

I've just been very naughty and done a very early HTP. Opps. Of course it was negative and of course I thought it would be - I'm due for my test for another 5 days. However I can't help being sad now.
I'm starting to imagine what I'm going to be like if this doesn't work. Already imagining the devastation.
I'm really hacked off.

Bec, don't let it get to you ... you were sooo early, there's no way those levels would show up on the pg test. Tell yourself that and get yourself into a good place again - THINK POSITIVE!!!

You always feel worse at the end of the day too, when energy levels are running low and things start getting to you - get a good night's sleep, dream of babies and start afresh in the morning!

Jules

OMG - 4

I can't believe how quickly things have moved for you, and here you are on the 2ww. It's so good to hear from you. I do hope that you are getting plenty of rest and doing absolutely nothing.

Take care of yourself and remember the Implantation Imp will be in your neighbourhood to take care of everything for you.

Love and hugs

Jen

I am so sorry - I know words are of little comfort at the moment, but know that you're in our thoughts and prayers.

You take care of yourself and give yourself plenty of time won't you.

Big hugs to you

Maud, can I ask how long did the hospital say the OHSS will last? And is there anything I can do to ease the tum swelling? I've got a family do at the weekend and as pathetic as it sounds I've nothing that will fit or not show my swollen tum off - the last thing I need is family assuming i'm pg when its not yet test date and don't want to tempt fate  . Any advice would be welcomed.

Know what you mean about the mistaken pregnancy thing - it's seems so cruel that the symptoms can be so similar :x

The hospital said the symptoms should start to go in 2-3 days, but also that everyone was different ... some people don't suffer at all, some do, and some for longer than others! They told me to keep downing 3-4 litres a day, but also that a high protein diet can help, so I'm eating lots of eggs, chicken, hard cheese, soya, nuts etc. The sickness has gone today and I don't feel quite so full-up as I did, so maybe it's started to have some effect.

Not sure how helpful that is, especially if your do is over the weekend ... I don't think there's any way of hurrying this thing, it'll go in its own sweet time as long as we look after ourselves. In the meantime, I'm avoiding anything slinky - again, not much help if you're going to a do! How about going out tomorrow to treat yourself to something lovely, yet concealing in the right places!

Hope you have a great weekend anyway!

Hi Escavon
I had moderate OHSS (which actually started before ER with vomitting etc) - my bloating went down about 5 days after the ET - my docs recommended water and milk. I was religiously gulping down milk at work and my colleagues kept asking why as I looked like a mad woman! You will feel better really soon.
Hello Mandy B - good luck with the 2WW - it's a killer. Here's hoping there's a fabulous Christmas for you around the corner
