Hi Girls,

Haven't posted for quite a while and loads of new names already, glad to see tracey s still popping in on this forum.

My ivf was abandoned in May due to lack of response, I took my af a week later and it lasted 10 days very unusal for me, but put it down to the drugs, now i'm on day 40 and still no af I took a hpt on day 37 just in case of a miracle but neg. I've never gone as long as this ever even after my other attempt. Is this normal does anyone else have a similar experience? I haven't contacted the clinic, do you think I should.
Love a very frustrated woman

Deb T xx
Hi Deb,
Sorry I haven't got any advice for you except to say that the drugs
we take are so strong, they seem to affect everyone differently. If you are really concerned then call your clinic (that's what we pay them for, right?) Do you know if you ovulated already? if you have then af should follow in about 14 days. In any case, try not to worry too much... I know it's easier said than done but sometimes our bodies take a while to get back into a routine. I'm expecting af in the next couple of days, so I'll send her your way ....
Take care.
Missy
Deb

wondering where you were - I have never had the problem - keep tampax in profits I did! - this is the longest ever - am at 8.4 weeks!
someone posted recently - can't remember who and they have all disappeared of course but she was 43 days until AF reared it's head. Ring the clinic for peace of mind even if they tell you what you already know - wouldn't worry too much - nature is an odd one
Take special care and welcome back
Love
Tracey
xxxxxxxx

Hi Deb
I really don't think that you have anything to worry about. I haven't been through exactly the same thing, but when I was sniffing my period was quite late and I called the hospital and they told me not to worry at all as the drugs can delay it....and sure enough a day later it appeared. I agree entirely with Tracey and ring the clinic just for peace of mind.
Love
Michelle x
I sooo know where you are coming from!
after first attempt my af took 43 days, and after 2nd attempt about the same. strange thing is i always have 2 spot on time immed after and then it goes up the spout (right around the time we want to cycle again!)
my clinic offered drugs but i thought it best to wait for natural to kick in, it will come just being a bit coy!!!
hang in there, hope you get going again!
love fi
Thanks everyone for your replies, it's just nice to get some reassurance that everything will get back to normal. I haven't ranf clinic yet think i'll wait and see what happens over weekend, then ring on monday.

Tracey - so glad everything is going well, your probably so looking forward to your bump showing, you'll be able to stick it out over your combats knowing it's not because of all that choclate you ate!!!!

love Deb xx
