Jacs

I had never had it before and then suddenly about 4/5 weeks ago I started getting this horrible pain around my chest area and this awful dizzy sensation - couple that with the burning in the larynx!!! It is really unpleasant, but absolutely nothing to worry about thankfully.

Hope you're not in too much discomfort.

Hi Jacs

I suffer from heartburn, which is mainly a 'burning' sensation high up in the chest, as Little P described it. However, I also had one really bad episode after (stupidly!) having my Sunday dinner a couple of hours before I went to bed. This caused chest pains all night, I felt very unwell and couldnt sleep. It was awful! Luckily Ive not had that since!
You can get gaviscon or something similar free on prescription if you ask your midwife. Unfortunately, I dont like the taste of mine, its aniseed flavour which I dont like, but useful if you have a bad episode of heartburn!
Take care

Hope everyone is taking care of themselves.

We do seem to be very quiet here at the moment.

I've nothing to report - been feeling a bit off colour today, tired and slightly sick, but starting to feel better now. I think it's probably just all the excitement of yesterday :)

Big hugs to you all.

Hi everyone

Nice to catch up with your news Jacs - I've got a busy weekend too with goiing on a friends hen night in London - I'll be a bit bored as they all get plastered and I've been nominated as the videographer! Hope you got your shopping done.

Olivia - how are you? Any news on antenatal classes?

Lil P - Why are you waiting till 28 weeks - I thought 3 rd tri started at 26 weeks? That means even longer to wait - darn it!! Only joking, I'm just so impatient to get over there myself. Great thinking on the heartburn for Jacs - I've had terrible tight feeling in chest when I've had heartburn so it certainly sounds like a big possibility (though I hadn't linked it myself till you said)

Ange - great news on the scan, glad everything is looking lovely. Don't worry about not feeling movements yet - I didn't till much later but now it's gone crazy.

Hi to everyone else

Cheryl

The reason I'm waiting till 28 weeks is that most of the sites and books I have read have said that the official time is 28 weeks, leaving 12 weeks for the last trimester.

Ah, well you'll just have to put up with me for a couple of weeks longer - sorry ladies!!!

I am so full at the moment I feel as though I have just eaten for a thousand people, let alone 2

Hi everyone - hope all is well. I've just got back from friend's hen night in London which was lovely but exhausting. We all wore 'Rock chicks' T-shirts with our names on back but on mine they printed 'Plus Baby Chick' on my bump which was adorable - I got proper looked after by the bouncers and special loo and bar privaledges so I could get my bottled water without being jostled!! I felt very important but I suffered for the smokey atmosphere - it was disgusting and I'm not going anywhere with smoke again until after the baby's born (roll on complete smoking ban!)

Jacs - you're doiing well with your lovely long posts lately - it's great to hear your news. Hope you and DH are back in harmony now - it's amazing how the hormones can get us - some days I swear I could literally snap in two. I'm waiting till after Christmas for purchases and hoping for a few bargains too. Don't know about sales but I certainly hope they do. Mamas and Papas has a few discounts on now - 30%, 50% off some things - I got a lovely outfit for friends wedding there.

Smita - I know you've moved over but I'm saying hello here cos I don't want to post 'over there' yet! Hi too to Kim and all other 'tri'ers. Any new borns over there yet?

Olivia - how are you? its been a while since you posted - catch us up with your news - how's your rest going?

Esther - hows that back?

Lil P - I'll wait until 28 weeks too then - only another month for me and 1/2 weeks for you so not too bad but I feel so impatient - I love making progress and I love being pregnant. I think I will miss it afterwards though so I don't want to wish it away too quick!

Hi to everyone else. How's Vicki doiing? - Haven't heard from you for a while - any news to catch us up with?

love Cherylxx

I know what you mean about enjoying pregnancy - especially now my bump is getting attention and people keep asking me "how long", etc. I can honestly say this is one of the lovliest experiences of my life. I just wish my mood swings weren't so erratic. I think DH views as a volcano on a daily basis at the moment.

Hope you are ok and feeling rested. I know what you mean about smokey environments though - I can't stand anyone smoking near me because I find I can't breath properly.

Take care of yourself and get plenty of rest and relaxation today.

Hope everyone else is keeping well.

Hi everyone

sorry I have been so quiet, I have been back to work (strictly on light duties) so haven't had time to post.
In addition the sale of our house as gone through in three weeks, far quicker than we had expected so we have been desperately trying to find somewhere to live closer to where DH's new job is. All very stressful.

I have been reading all the weeks posts and I am glad everyone is doing ok. My little man seems to be fine, he has days when he kicks all day long and others when I hardly feel him at all. I think I must be getting big people saying things like 'not long to go now', which is concerning as I am only 22 weeks!!! I think my chocolate addiction is probably not helping.

Sorry no personals today, but I am keeping track of you all.

Olivia

Wow - so much happening is such a short time!!!

I'm sure you look fantastic - I've been showing since I was 5 weeks and people think I'm nearer my due date than I am. Apparently it's because I'm usually a size 8 and now I've a blossoming bump!!! :D

Hope everyone is ok today - big hugs to you all.

Lovely to hear from you Olivia - sounds like we might not be labour ward neighbours then?! Fantastic news on your house and how lovely to be looking for a new place to bring the little gentleman home to. I know what you mean about some days loads and other days no movement - seems quite normal at this stage. I think I look quite big for 6 months - I keep getting those sorts of comments too. When people say when are you due? I say March, hoping they think the beginning because I feel too big to be due end of March!! When they push me on date I kind of faff and don't really say the date! I do love it though - it's so lovely having a little person with you all the time isn't it?

You sound like me - I love having my Little One on board with me. I do find myself talking to Little One on occasions when I'm in shops and I'm sure people think I'm a picnic short of a sandwich!!!

Never mind, I know that Little One is listening to Mummy's chit-chat!!!

I've started getting signs of morning sickness again - it's strange really, just nausea and the need to eat constantly. Anyone else had this?

Big hugs ladies

Hi all!
LittleP,
Weirdly,
I've had feelings of nausea at times, which subside when I eat!!
Oh well, need an excuse for eating thats all!
have put on loads of weight- now starting to worry about how I'm going to lose it all later..
dh is sure going to be shocked when he sees me in jan

Olivia,
Lovely to hear from you..Take care ofyour bump!

Cheryl,
I agree with the smokey environment with you girls!
And even the noise levels at the pubs worry me now..
Not long for you to get to the third tri.Its lovely to be here aint it? And when we get to the 3rd tri, it feels like even more of a miracle..
I stop and thank God for every moment of this happiness..

Jacs,
Sounds like your having a nightmarish time of it in the loo.. Cant you take something for it? I'm having horrid heartburn- but thats to be expected as I'm growing wider and rounder day by day!
