Hi everyone
Cautiously posting first message on this board since getting BFP on Monday. Had blood test today and hormone levels are rising 'lovely' nurse said. Hope I'm here for whole 9 months.
Just one question: To work out how many weeks pregnant I am do I count from first date of last period or date of EC?

I guess I'll follow you over to this board - even though I'm scared it's too early. I am a little concerned about a high HcG today. What did you test?

Anybody else have a high number early on?

Leigh,
we normally take the first day of last af as start of pregnancy, theres a pregnancy calculator under the resources column on the left hand side of this page, that should help you out- you shd be about 4 weeks plus pregnant after the test day.

Erin,
maybe you're having twins!
Or could be a very healthy singleton..Cant help on hcg levels..

Just want to say congratulations and welcome! I didnt discover this website until I was actually pregnant, but Ive found a lot of support here.
Im afraid the worry and waiting does continue, especially waiting for your first scans, but I have also enjoyed every moment of my pregnancy (even the side effects!) I hope its the same for you both!

Don't know when next scan is, I'm guessing at 12 weeks, going to see GP on Friday. Changed my ticker now, thanks for reminder!
