Hi Everyone,

Hope you dont mind if I join even though most of you have done your 1st scan. I see there are some December people though and I related completely to Lolas comments.

I got a BFP on the 22nd Nov. and my DP went away the next morning and is back tonight (so a week and half in total he was away) This whole thing hasnt sunk in at all. I havent had any real symtoms, maybe a bit tired and a bit highly strung but not sure if that is just the stress from everything. I am sure when I see him it will start to feel real.

I am glad I read this thread as I was getting REALLY annoyed at myself that I had said that if I got a BFP I would never be sad or depressed again and would finally be happy! BUT instead my anxiety went through the roof and no one around to share it with (as he has had the laptop and I havent been on here, my saviour!)

Anyway, wont keep yakking on but just wanted to say reading this thread helped to relax and feel normal! (like nothing else could have done!)

My first scan is at 7weeks and 4 days on the 15th of Dec........and yes, I agree, its like watching grass grow!

Hi everyone

I went for my first scan today, I am 6wks. The doctor said it was very early and may not see much, she saw the yolk sac but wasn't sure on the heart beat, she said there was something there but she couldn't be sure if it was the heart beat or not.... but did reassure me that it was very early and usually don't see heart beat until wk 7 or 8, and becuase I had very low HCG levels to start maybe my little embie emplanted late (yes there was only deffinately one, I kind of felt sad for the other that didn't make it though)

So the doctor said its still early days but so far so good, I have to go back next week for another scan.

I'm sure everything will be fine, It would of been nice to see heart beat, but like they said, it was just too soon. So now I'm just looking forward to Friday....!

Lola - I'm so sorry that your news wasn't what you wished. What sort of advice have you been given? Are you goiing to have treatment again when you feel ready? I really hope that you get the outcome you want soon

lola- iam so sorry for your ectopic... df and i had named our embies before we knew they were ecopics. We will never forget them. 1 was 10wks the other 7wks. Thinking of you sweetheart, be good to yourself.

lucy- i am glad your scan went well and you saw your growing embie. Don't worry doc is right, it is too early for a heartbeat. take care you'll hear a heart beat next week.
