Preparing to wean off the meds...

Post by az_ip »

We are intended parents with a wonderful angel of a SM and a great Doctor. Next week we will reach our 12-week milestone - and with that - the doctor is preparing to wean our SM off her meds.

This is really a scary time for us - although I am certain that I am worrying unnecessarily. The baby is growing and is doing great. Last week at our U/S (11-week) he/she was 4.5 cm or about 1.8" long was kicking and rubbing his/her face.

Can anyway else share what we should expect, if anything, in the next few weeks? Thanks.

Well I am in the process of weaning off mine - went to once a day for a week instead of twice a day, and then to every second day for a week, and then to none at all. I have to say I have basically felt better and better - less tired and less sick. And I've had blood tests the whole way to check it is all ok. The placenta takes over now, so the meds are less and less neccessary anyway.
good luck to you all.
