Post by luby »

Hi Everyone

I have just been to the toilet and noticed some red blood came out, there was some when I wiped, not loads but enough....!

This is really worrying me, I can't do anything until tomorrow, but am so scared its all over for me..!

Has anyone else experienced bleeding and everything be OK?

Hi Dawn

They couldn't do anything for me, they offered me an ultrasound but not until Wednesday, I will just have to go to my IVF clinic first thing in the morning to be checked...

I hope to god mine turns out to be ok like yours did.

How far on are you.? I haven't really noticed anymore red blood, but a bit of brown now (not that much)

Hi Dawn

Well if everything works out ok for me, we will be due same time, I'm due 28th July, your 29th aren't you.?

I phoned IVF clinic this morning they said they can't really do anything as they only scanned me on Friday morning so wouldn't be able to tell me much, she said I had to be a bit more laid back about this (I bet she didn't have to go through this emotional rollacoaster to get her family, I am trying to be relax but I'm sure anyone would be a bit scared if they saw blood)

So I can't do anything until Friday now, I am not going into work either, even though it was my first day back yesterday after been off for three weeks but this is more important to me than any job in the world. I am just going to rest.

I will let you know if anything else happens in the meantime.

Take Care of yourself and your little ones.

Thinking of you. I just wanted to wish you loads of luck for Friday. You are doing the right thing, getting plenty of rest is very important.

Take care

Lucy - try not to worry too much. You're right to stay off work - as you say there's nothing more important than this pregnancy. Good luck for later in the week - I hope you can get some reassurance then,

Lucy,
I'm 16 weeks pregnant. At 8 or 9 weeks I had bleeding like you describe. Freaked out, had scan, all is well. Happened 2 days later. Same thing.
It was even bright red.
Doc's had no explanation but "this happens sometimes." There are some other threads on General Forum and this one that talk about bleeding.

Definitely try to take care of yourself.

I hate it when people would tell me not to worry... much easier said than done.

Take Care,
Susanp

Hi Susan

I went to see my GP this morning for a sick note as I was adviced by the hospital to take some time off and rest, anyway I asked him about the bleeding and he said it was very normal in pregnancy, I should be more concerned if it is persistant or painful.

I haven't had any cramps really, I sometimes get nigely feelings in my stomach but I'm being positive and putting that down to my uterus stretching.

I haven't noticed anymore blood since last night, which is a good sign, I am still very nervous about it all and I'm sure I will be until Friday when I have my scan.

Anyway susan congratulations on your pregnancy, I am looking forward to getting past 12 wks. I think I will feel more relaxed then.!

Take Care

Lucy

You take as much time as you need - what's important now is you and the baby.

I'm glad that you're feeling slightly reassured.

Hi Lucy,
Wow, were are due at the same time...And I know you'll be fine! I went to my clinic today for another US and the babies were fine. They said the bleeding had nothing to do with the babies..I'm sure yours is the same. I also read that it is very common to have bleeding 6 weeks after your last period...sooooooo i think were pretty normal.....Just keep to bedrest, thats my clinics advice 2 days of bedrest with no red bleeding then resume normal activities.....They've gotton me this far sooooooo, im gonna follow their advice.....My thoughts are with you...keep me posted!
